Speaker 1: Good Morning, Team, Good morning, Patsy Money, good morning, Rio Morning,

Speaker 1: Good morning.

Speaker 4: Intern, Pete, Good morning guys.

Speaker 1: Was on Tuesday show. We asked you how was your

Speaker 1: day yesterday? How did you start the week. How was

Speaker 1: your Monday? Evan says, Monday toughest of the week. Normally

Speaker 1: we get it down to three words. I want to

Speaker 1: expand it now, so we're going to try something different.

Speaker 1: The way that the internet, the way the world works

Speaker 1: now is ratings. Everything's rated, everything's rated and reviewed. You

Speaker 1: don't set foot in a restaurant or order a single

Speaker 1: takeaway without I always do that now, it's amazing. There

Speaker 1: was a time not that long ago in our lives

Speaker 1: where you just took a chance. Yeah, you made a

Speaker 1: decision to have an average meal. Yes, no one to

Speaker 1: complain to, and you got on with your night and

Speaker 1: day and we're all fine. The world turned kept on turning.

Speaker 1: Now you know, any takeaway it takes minutes.

Speaker 5: Even parks, local parks and a rating, don't we it's

Speaker 5: forensic analysis, too much information.

Speaker 1: There's a guy I follow on at Instagram who rates

Speaker 1: park benchres around the world. He has found his first

Speaker 1: ever five out of five. It was amazing. He was

Speaker 1: actually reading with predy emotional. Anyway, I want you to

Speaker 1: rate out five your Monday Monday out of five and

Speaker 1: I will accept halfs. Maybe it was a two and

Speaker 1: a half. Maybe I hope not that you had one

Speaker 1: and a half star Monday, and also then a couple

Speaker 1: of lines to review your Monday, so I've written mine.

Speaker 1: It's two out of five guys, it's a two star Monday.

Speaker 1: Underground car park at the shopping center. She says, five minutes.

Speaker 1: I turned the car engine off that much. That's how

Speaker 1: much I believe her. An hour later, my wife comes

Speaker 1: that came out with a laundry basket and a candle.

Speaker 1: Nobody has ever popped into kmart for five minutes, Nobody

Speaker 1: for me once, Sarah for me for twenty eight years.

Speaker 1: Why did I fall for this? You're a wait in

Speaker 1: the car, Chris, You just wait in the car, no

Speaker 1: phone signal, no phone signal, was stuck in an underground

Speaker 1: wall car park for it was over an hour, And

Speaker 1: I tell you what, You'll have too much time to

Speaker 1: question all the choices that led you to this moment.

Speaker 1: I might start a podcast series stuck in a car.

Speaker 1: You know it's just me, and then the guest arrives,

Speaker 1: They get in my car and I interview there we

Speaker 1: will both break down together in a darkened situation with

Speaker 1: no phone signal under a Kmart. I hope she.

Speaker 5: Cracked the window for you, like you do.

Speaker 1: When dad's in hot cars, dec on the floor. There

Speaker 1: needs a bit of RSPCA for dads. I saw families

Speaker 1: going in, coming out, going in, coming out. Minutes I

Speaker 1: tried to call her, no answer, no phone service. I

Speaker 1: reckon she'd worked out where the exact black spot was.

Speaker 1: She's a woman. I kept texting you, okay, the only

Speaker 1: person that okay with me breaking down there rapidly. How

Speaker 1: long can someone be I'll tell you what they want?

Speaker 1: Never is five minutes? No fall for the five minutes, lie,

Speaker 1: No five minutes. I was just saying, give myself. When

Speaker 1: she came back, she went, so it took a bit longer.

Speaker 1: I were well played, Wow played the only four here

Speaker 1: is me? Wowye still falling for that two star Monday

Speaker 1: for me at the end of the day as well.

Speaker 5: That's right. At least it's out of the way. Nay

Speaker 5: can have a five star Tuesday.

Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right, You're all right, Rio

Speaker 1: out of five? How was your Monday yesterday?

Speaker 5: Mine really is a five? And I'm still buzzing today.

Speaker 5: After sixteen long years, sixteen years of pain and ridicule,

Speaker 5: I have won my fantasy football league.

Speaker 1: Oh wow, I've always.

Speaker 6: Been the butt of the joke in this group chat.

Speaker 5: I've had the rudest, meanest nicknames assigned to me in

Speaker 5: that group chat for so long, But no more.

Speaker 1: A wow, actually kind of cham. This is incredible. It's

Speaker 1: what's your big giant oversized trophy?

Speaker 6: I know I need one. It's actually I was thinking

Speaker 6: about it.

Speaker 5: It's actually going to change the trajectory of my life

Speaker 5: because in this group chat, which I talk in every day,

Speaker 5: I always get a horrible nickname. There's always some joke

Speaker 5: at my expense. But now for the rest of my days,

Speaker 5: now that I've.

Speaker 1: Won, You know, we've are you saying that I'm thinking about?

Speaker 1: We've replaced the sort of school system with group chat. Yes,

Speaker 1: there's a stage and bullying that goes over there, isn't there? Yes?

Speaker 5: Yes, And if you're at the bottom of the wrung,

Speaker 5: you dream one day just climbing being one of the

Speaker 5: big lads.

Speaker 1: Yes, you know the senior students got their own common room.

Speaker 5: Yes, I've got my prefector in. Yeah, and now I'll

Speaker 5: never be the same again. So maybe it's a five

Speaker 5: stars Monday, And who knows? What did you have a

Speaker 5: wacky name for your team. Can't I can't, couldn't possibly

Speaker 5: say it on air?

Speaker 1: Ye?

Speaker 5: Yes, come on, I expected better from you.

Speaker 1: O God, you're kidding me. I really wasn't joking when

Speaker 1: I said replaced the school system and I got to

Speaker 1: name that route. There's two roots for Australian radio.

Speaker 6: It's a name a year seventeenage boy would give me.

Speaker 1: It's not in the current climate. They're out five for you, sir. Wow,

Speaker 1: all right, Pats and uh Pete, we'll do yours next.

Speaker 1: You send us yours in as well. Oh four seven

Speaker 1: five three one o four three Your Monday rated out

Speaker 1: five except half points as well, and then a few

Speaker 1: lines reviewing it.

Speaker 3: The Christin O'Connell show podcast.

Speaker 1: Okay, rate and review your day yesterday, your Monday? How

Speaker 1: did you start the week? Out of five and then

Speaker 1: give us a few lines. Patsy, what'st Monday? Did you have? Mate?

Speaker 4: Not very good?

Speaker 6: Point five for me?

Speaker 7: Oh, I thought that was on a police drinking No, no,

Speaker 7: excuse me.

Speaker 8: Point five at school pickup, Audrey was not impressed. My

Speaker 8: fifteen year old had a science excursion yesterday and you know,

Speaker 8: kids these days, you can't just give them any old

Speaker 8: excursion like you could. For us in the seventies and eighties.

Speaker 8: We were happy to just go for a bus.

Speaker 1: Just getting on a bus, yeah, going anywhere. It was

Speaker 1: a big deal. Just excited, like a day out of prison.

Speaker 8: It really was like one pair up and it's like, right,

Speaker 8: something good is going to happen, not for this day

Speaker 8: and age. So they had a science experiment.

Speaker 6: Get this.

Speaker 8: They drove round trip three hours in the school bus.

Speaker 8: They went to a location, this wetlands location. I said, well,

Speaker 8: what did you do?

Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we went to wetlands and in the UK.

Speaker 1: It wasn't just wetlands. It was rain, it was in

Speaker 1: the winds. It was a wet wabash. It was more

Speaker 1: like bleaklands.

Speaker 8: Well that's what it was like yesterday. And I said, well,

Speaker 8: what was the experiment you had to do. I'm sure

Speaker 8: you learned something. She said, Mum, we got a hula

Speaker 8: hoop shucked it on the ground. We were there for

Speaker 8: twenty minutes. We had to report back what was in

Speaker 8: the hoop ah? Come on, grass and wildflowers, she said.

Speaker 8: Then we got back on the bus and went back

Speaker 8: to school and we were there.

Speaker 4: In time for lunch. To have lunch at school. She

Speaker 4: said it sucked enormously.

Speaker 1: That is disappointing. That's that's that's no stars.

Speaker 8: I know, I know she was not impressed. We heard

Speaker 8: about it all evening.

Speaker 6: Schools love wetlands and mangrove so.

Speaker 1: Well as beach erosion. Every school year it is like

Speaker 1: we're looking at another beach erosi. Sheill be doing something

Speaker 1: that I pick up a shovel, those crappy little clipboards

Speaker 1: and stuff that cut out you. Actually we had to

Speaker 1: always go and quiz the locals, and the only people

Speaker 1: that would speach you was the old people or the

Speaker 1: local pedophiles.

Speaker 8: But all the amazing things to do in this country

Speaker 8: and they go to a wetland for twenty minutes.

Speaker 7: What are we paying these face marks beach erosions?

Speaker 1: Come on, schools, we're onto you. Switch it up. We're

Speaker 1: in the four K streaming world. They're going to look

Speaker 1: at that and guys boring. They want to get back

Speaker 1: on their phonels. They're not wetland. Maxim Pete Review, Pea

Speaker 1: Reting Review or bakay. I love the way of doing this.

Speaker 4: By the way, I'm going to go with a three

Speaker 4: out of five.

Speaker 7: But I'm happy to be judged and pulled back down

Speaker 7: or up after I take it on Monday.

Speaker 1: Well, we're not going to judge you all.

Speaker 7: I feel free, feel free. Indeed, I had a good

Speaker 7: bit of physio yesterday, obviously getting ready for the Sydney

Speaker 7: Marathon this weekend.

Speaker 4: However, a little bit too expensive. Do we think two

Speaker 4: hundred and twenty dollars is too much for a bit

Speaker 4: of how were you in?

Speaker 1: Therefore?

Speaker 7: Though, like fifty minutes or so, with a bit of

Speaker 7: console and a bit of upselling and a bit of

Speaker 7: let's do some post marathon.

Speaker 1: For they up selling you don't answer. You know what?

Speaker 5: The most useless part of the physio the massage that

Speaker 5: does nothing. You're just like, I guess we've got twenty minutes.

Speaker 1: To twenty minutes that you have to do that sort

Speaker 1: of that skeleton and ask you the circle where does

Speaker 1: it hurt? And I just told you I actually just

Speaker 1: was in front of thiss was here. I need to

Speaker 1: draw on this man? Are you going to look at

Speaker 1: this man? You will go to just find where that

Speaker 1: shoulder is. Luckily you do this cruise cave drawing.

Speaker 5: I can never understand that they'll explain to you what's

Speaker 5: happening in your shoulder.

Speaker 1: So the joint is attached to the fe so if

Speaker 1: I'm hearing it right, and when we're running the clock down, yeah,

Speaker 1: go and get the oils. Let's go to work. That's

Speaker 1: what I've come here for. Yeah, absolutely, it's not chitch.

Speaker 1: I'm not paying you for that. The clock should start

Speaker 1: once you on face down on that really uncomfortable hold.

Speaker 7: Absolutely, which is just for your face.

Speaker 1: What else would it be for go right, don't That was.

Speaker 7: The upsetting obviously, trying to eat healthy. So I had

Speaker 7: some good bit of steak, but the jury is out.

Speaker 7: The first time I did something pretty crazy as a

Speaker 7: qualified chef. I actually cooked my steak in the air fry,

Speaker 7: which I had never done. No, I know, I know

Speaker 7: it sounds so wrong. I have sent your fighter, but

Speaker 7: I do think it.

Speaker 4: Was fine. It was fine.

Speaker 1: Did you season it beforehand?

Speaker 9: Oh?

Speaker 7: Absolutely, yes, with some fresh green chilies as well. So

Speaker 7: I'm just trying to basically presentation. It's a fire, the presentation,

Speaker 7: it's great you got green only that it's nice. Yeah,

Speaker 7: that was all right, bit of brocolhenny. And then final

Speaker 7: bad part about the day was I got home early

Speaker 7: because I'm renting a pad in the city and I

Speaker 7: had a house inspection yesterday what I thought it was.

Speaker 4: But it's actually today, So I was waiting all afternoon for.

Speaker 1: That.

Speaker 4: That is, you make the bed a little bit better.

Speaker 1: But the work's still done.

Speaker 7: Everything well, well, now now I've got to go back

Speaker 7: again early today and make sure I do have made

Speaker 7: the bed properly, because I rushed out this morning. So

Speaker 7: look what I'm saying is it's just one of those

Speaker 7: things that when the house inspection had and you just

Speaker 7: make that little bit of extra effort that you don't

Speaker 7: normally have to do on a day today.

Speaker 4: So I'm going with a three point five.

Speaker 1: All right, you've upgraded yourself now, Christian Connall Show podcast.

Speaker 1: This is the Christian O'Connell Show Morning Christian. I lived

Speaker 1: by the air fry. I've done perfect chops, steakes, even

Speaker 1: a lamb roast that came out perfect, a bit of

Speaker 1: Tuscan season and properly. That's from Hayden Craig's Monday's two

Speaker 1: stars out of five. That's the most common rating at

Speaker 1: the moment. I think that's a sign of a decent Monday. Yeah,

Speaker 1: take two that remember that's the sign of being an adult.

Speaker 1: Two stars out of five. For Craig Christian, I had

Speaker 1: a list of tasks I planned to do after work

Speaker 1: before the school pickup. First will shopping at Audi for dinner.

Speaker 1: Card wasn't working as bank had an issue. Delays meant

Speaker 1: I didn't have time to heat up a lunch before

Speaker 1: the pickup. You need to be refueled before that traidered

Speaker 1: afternoon pickup. So my lunch yesterday was a can of

Speaker 1: pringles for grown up mad Craig put me in a

Speaker 1: foul mood, and then I didn't do the laundry. Creg

Speaker 1: we get it. We're here for you, buddy, everything, and

Speaker 1: I says context some pringles, but not that's not that's

Speaker 1: not lunch. Four pm pringles after a great Oh it's

Speaker 1: a well known thing, isn't it, the four pm pringle

Speaker 1: pick up? But this what it is to be a parent.

Speaker 1: The amount of meals or lunch I've had just sometimes

Speaker 1: over the sink, honestly, just crystal nice to eating too.

Speaker 1: You can't sit down. That is sad annoy No, this

Speaker 1: is the way, in fact, for Father's Day. That's what

Speaker 1: I probably feel most at home. It's just over horring

Speaker 1: over a sink app in my father's day dinner. All right,

Speaker 1: So today extra time of the time waster, mak a

Speaker 1: movie bigger. Up for grabs is a Brevel's smart toaster,

Speaker 1: Nathan had the dam I'd like this should have been

Speaker 1: the winner. Devil Wears a Panda, Anthony had a mad imax.

Speaker 1: Imax is the word of the year, isn't it. It's

Speaker 1: Christopher Nolan got shares an imax. You must see an imax.

Speaker 9: You might film not on them, especially for you to

Speaker 9: see an imax.

Speaker 1: Win it was added with cownfootloose. All right, So make

Speaker 1: ring like pacious, here's no way gone. And would you're

Speaker 1: going to go and start to do the Olympic rings rings?

Speaker 1: Go there the biggest thank you. Technically, I'd like to

Speaker 1: go humor wise, is probably bronze. If you're honest, Rocky

Speaker 1: Babo a great movie. What's bigger than Rocky Everest? Oh no,

Speaker 1: they're getting better, they're getting better. Karate kids growing up.

Speaker 1: sink eater, and so am I the only one out

Speaker 1: of seven kids to carry on this grand tradition. Headwier.

Speaker 1: Maybe you should do a cook book cheaping, but the

Speaker 1: Bakers doesn't.

Speaker 6: That's very.

Speaker 1: Some phrases won't carry on. Well though Bakers doesn't. I

Speaker 1: reckon right now. Probably some of the younger were going,

Speaker 1: what's he talking about? You do you mean just a dozen thirteen? Yeah?

Speaker 8: One for the baker to taste?

Speaker 1: Is that what it was for?

Speaker 3: Oh?

Speaker 1: That's what we call the Baker's does My cousin Narnie

Speaker 1: holder the parents lift you go and rosa book week.

Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, it's today, it's in half an hour. Quick,

Speaker 1: get the bin bags out.

Speaker 6: It's a ghost or something.

Speaker 3: The Christian o'connall Show podcast.

Speaker 1: Just when I thought my family had Father's Day sorted,

Speaker 1: a bombshell. A Father's Day bombshell the like I've never

Speaker 1: heard before. I can't you. I think everyone who hears

Speaker 1: what's happened to my father's stay this year, will feel

Speaker 1: a collective.

Speaker 10: Oh oh, I feel like you get a lot of oofs,

Speaker 10: and this is the.

Speaker 1: Much It's the right kind of sometimes in life you

Speaker 1: need to have a tender anyway. Right now, what a prize?

Speaker 1: I can definitely say we've never given anything like this

Speaker 1: away this time, I actually mean it. We have never

Speaker 1: ever ever and will never ever give away another prize

Speaker 1: like this. Now I'm looking at it and we've raised

Speaker 1: it up in the studio. The last couple of minutes

Speaker 1: me particcating Rio just so you could get the best

Speaker 1: angle on Rio's camera, because it deserves it. It's now

Speaker 1: part of me. The Onst wants to keep it. Sadly,

Speaker 1: this isn't our studio alone. We do share this studio.

Speaker 1: And last night Edward and Maguire was coming in to

Speaker 1: rock the world with some sports news and he didn't

Speaker 1: care for the eagle. You know that because when you

Speaker 1: heard what hapened to him Wimen as a kid, one

Speaker 1: picked him up and took him away and then he

Speaker 1: had to live in a nest for a year. You've

Speaker 1: seen the email when never to talk about the eagle.

Speaker 1: Now I feel bad now wonder he threw it to

Speaker 1: the ground. I get it. The last thing Eddie McGuire

Speaker 1: wants to see before he announces the new Bombers coach

Speaker 1: is an eagle again right now over his left shoulder.

Speaker 1: It doesn't mean as you're watching it left. The last

Speaker 1: thing he needs. Guys, that I ever mentioned eagles. Birds

Speaker 1: that prayed to Eddie McGuire. That's why he never goes

Speaker 1: to the West Coast. Eagles matches, no, no, no. And

Speaker 1: part of his aversion therapy is wine got involved with

Speaker 1: the Magpies Club, the pipes, the enemy. That's right, you

Speaker 1: got it. Any who's e Capoosie. We've come into possession

Speaker 1: of a massive framed glassprint of an American bald eagle.

Speaker 1: When we were doing a phone in two weeks ago

Speaker 1: about the wrong after was telling you how I got

Speaker 1: into the wrong uber, someone told us they got a

Speaker 1: picture for the husband who's a big bird's a prey fan,

Speaker 1: and he loves the Australian eagle, the wedge tailed. And

Speaker 1: she believes that she was buying for a thousand dollars

Speaker 1: beautiful gift. And that's your thing, a beautiful picture of

Speaker 1: a wedgie. However, when he opens it up, she's thinking,

Speaker 1: this is the greatest gift ever. He goes is the

Speaker 1: wrong egle. She burst into tears. They put it in

Speaker 1: the garage. It's been in the garish for two years.

Speaker 1: I said, can we have it and give it away?

Speaker 1: Today's day. I wanna win this big eagle.

Speaker 6: Ghanna put it.

Speaker 5: On my wallow bald headed eagle, Ganna give Christianna.

Speaker 1: Calling this big eagle. At we just go to the

Speaker 1: chuckle sisters here really chucking up today, chuckle sisters. The

Speaker 1: dimensions of this are okay.

Speaker 11: So for length wise, we are looking at one hundred

Speaker 11: and thirty nine centimeters and then height ninety centimeters, so

Speaker 11: that is equivalent to one producer Tina diagonally across eighty

Speaker 11: five microphones, forty four Vanetta's, one hundred and twenty one

Speaker 11: post it notes, two hundred and eighty t bags, five

Speaker 11: hundred and ninety sharpies, twenty eight headphones, one hundred and

Speaker 11: forty four cassettes, sixty three CDs, and then eight twelve

Speaker 11: inch vinyls.

Speaker 5: Eighty five microphone, eighty five microphones.

Speaker 1: He's the one that stood out the other day. Five

Speaker 1: That would be like twenty meters you.

Speaker 11: But no, if you put them all across the front

Speaker 11: of it, you'd.

Speaker 1: Have, oh, in the space eighty five who Before we

Speaker 1: send this out to the deserved winner, I want to

Speaker 1: test that absolutely done, to go around the few remaining

Speaker 1: race stations there are. I don't think there are eighty

Speaker 1: five stations in Australia, are there now? There's only about

Speaker 1: twelve there. It's the last frontier anyone wants to have

Speaker 1: been in doing that now. I don't just want this

Speaker 1: to go away to a gig pig. We call people

Speaker 1: that's try and win stuff and ring every single breakfast

Speaker 1: and to give away today what's the I's our song?

Speaker 1: This should go to a genuine Eagle fan. Well, I'm

Speaker 1: really limiting that that funnel was getting narrow now, isn't it.

Speaker 1: I mean it's a niche of a niche of it.

Speaker 1: You're a category of what three?

Speaker 5: Maybe there's a Manly Sea Eagles fan the NRL team

Speaker 5: in Sydney.

Speaker 1: Maybe in perpose, someone that just wants something that's a

Speaker 1: talking point, a very large picture of a beautiful eagle.

Speaker 1: Where would you put this in your home? If you

Speaker 1: took it home? It's not for me. I'll be honest,

Speaker 1: I'm a bird man, you know, I love birds. But

Speaker 1: that's it's just huge work. It might meet somebody's bull room,

Speaker 1: a rumpus, a bedroom, yep, bedroom.

Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a tone set. I look at that big

Speaker 5: powerful that it's haunted, not.

Speaker 1: Like that it flew at me. This can I say, Okay,

Speaker 1: it's haunted.

Speaker 5: Producer Kaitlin and I put it on two tiny little

Speaker 5: cushions and Christian said no, it needs to be high.

Speaker 1: And to raise eagle. It's a phrase in radio, you

Speaker 1: call it are we ready to raise eagle? And it

Speaker 1: was time to raise the eagle. Guys, that's not safe.

Speaker 1: There's no safe. It's just too powerful. It's too powerful

Speaker 1: to seconds.

Speaker 6: Almost crushed me in one piece.

Speaker 1: Is it snake? Oh yeah, that thing's interstructible. It's completely fine.

Speaker 1: The next quite earthquake we have in Australia, that that

Speaker 1: will be fine. Oh my goodness. Okay, this thing I

Speaker 1: totally one thing. Thank god. I even I wasn't sat

Speaker 1: there because set back his recovery quite a while. Anyway,

Speaker 1: lines are open now. Who wants to win a really

Speaker 1: big picture of an eagle caller and tell us why

Speaker 1: no gigpigs eagle lovers or someone wants something in the ballroom,

Speaker 1: something a bit different, unusual large. Also, you've got to

Speaker 1: have a strong wall for this to go on. It's

Speaker 1: bringing the house down. Don't come crying to me if

Speaker 1: a wall comes tumbling down. If you've got those flimsy

Speaker 1: Australian house because it weighs about fifty kilos, it looks

Speaker 1: so heavy, all right, call it now. Lines are open

Speaker 1: to win the Eagle.

Speaker 3: The Christian O'Connell show podcast.

Speaker 1: We've come into possession of a massive, glass framed, beautiful

Speaker 1: print of an eagle American boardded eagle. A wrong gift

Speaker 1: brought for somebody I've taken off their hands. Maybe there's more.

Speaker 1: We could turn the send to a semi regular feature

Speaker 1: with if there's anything you need to you can't get

Speaker 1: rid of it, We'll take it off your hands and

Speaker 1: give it away. We'll actually call it. We'll take it

Speaker 1: off your hands because when they said it's been in

Speaker 1: the garritter two years, they didn't what to do with it,

Speaker 1: and so now it is gonna be one man's junk

Speaker 1: is another man's treasure. I'm just looking at the reasons

Speaker 1: why people calling in trom Win this beautiful framed print

Speaker 1: of an eagle. Adrian. He is known as the bald Eagle.

Speaker 1: Fair enough, doesn't know what else to get for father's date.

Speaker 1: Come on, hey, that's actually that's actually one of the

Speaker 1: better sort of impromptu ones. Want to get it this

Speaker 1: to annoy his wife. Another man hanging by his bed,

Speaker 1: just to annoy his wife. Come on, guys, I wanna

Speaker 1: win this big eagle.

Speaker 6: Ganna put it.

Speaker 3: On my wall.

Speaker 1: Bald headed eagle.

Speaker 6: Gonna give Christian a call in this big eagle.

Speaker 1: Kristin coome on and welcome to the show.

Speaker 12: Hi, thank you, Christin?

Speaker 4: How are you?

Speaker 1: I'm good? Thank you on the show. So tell us

Speaker 1: why you want the big eagle?

Speaker 12: Because I am from originally a town in them called Repanion,

Speaker 12: and sometimes we see eagles soaring around and they are amazing,

Speaker 12: and I think it would be fabulous to have it

Speaker 12: hanging in the local footing nipple club.

Speaker 1: Oh cool, good enough reason, All right, and stay there

Speaker 1: might be. Let's go to camera in now goome on

Speaker 1: and cameeron. Good morning here, I'm good camera. So why

Speaker 1: would you love this huge prince of the eagle?

Speaker 13: Cam I'm just look, I'm a lover of the wedgy,

Speaker 13: the wedge cal eagle. The next best thing is the

Speaker 13: American board eagle. I'm also surely inter of Holly Davidson's

Speaker 13: and the bald eagle is kind of a symbol of

Speaker 13: the hollidats. I saw a wedge tail in flight a

Speaker 13: little while ago and it inspired me to get a

Speaker 13: back piece taboo. When I saw him, all I saw

Speaker 13: was peace, power and freedom, and that just he resonated

Speaker 13: with me and I just, yeah, how big?

Speaker 1: Are we talking? The whole back?

Speaker 13: Yes? Yeah, I want to get my Why.

Speaker 1: Just get half the back? You haven't seen a one

Speaker 1: winged eagle? That's so true. No, you've got to get

Speaker 1: both that wing span across his back there. I love

Speaker 1: that they are. They are the Western egles. They are beautiful.

Speaker 1: Geta what was the three piece there? Peace power, one

Speaker 1: of Australia Freedom. That's gorgeous, Peace pound freedom. Is that right?

Speaker 1: Cameras that we saw? Yes, cam it's yours. You got

Speaker 1: to have this.

Speaker 14: Yes, I love this this.

Speaker 1: I wanted to go to a genuine fan. We found him.

Speaker 1: It's you. This would be great, Thank you very much, pleasure.

Speaker 1: I love the fact it means that much to you. Now,

Speaker 1: where are you going to put it? It is big,

Speaker 1: it's it's heavy as well.

Speaker 13: Be careful, straight straight to the poor room the entrance entrance.

Speaker 1: Well wow, anyone trying to break in is gonna go. Guys,

Speaker 1: back up, back up this.

Speaker 5: Because you've got it on the front of the house,

Speaker 5: but on the back of yourself.

Speaker 1: When you get the you're right, you're right, you're right,

Speaker 1: suddenly peace will become power. That's right, yes, and freedom

Speaker 1: that's a defender sign. Anyway, Now I'm taking it someone.

Speaker 1: We don't need to Cameron, it is yours, sir, Thank

Speaker 1: you very much. Thank you now, camera listen. We'll get

Speaker 1: it to you as soon as we can, my friend.

Speaker 1: And then when you've had it delivered, send us a

Speaker 1: message to say the eagle has some landed.

Speaker 3: Thanks Christian Condor Show podcast.

Speaker 1: Christian Simone and Dave here. Simone and Dave generously gifted

Speaker 1: the wrong gift to us. They had this eagle print.

Speaker 1: They generously gave it to us. It's worth every one

Speaker 1: thousand dollars. I'll tell you what did you hear, Cameron.

Speaker 1: That is the sound of someone being genuinely grateful. It's

Speaker 1: gone to a really genuinely gratefully received home. Christian Simone

Speaker 1: and Dave here so happy the Eagle Print West found

Speaker 1: a you great home. You really couldn't have picked a

Speaker 1: better winner. Thanks so well, Thank you very much guys

Speaker 1: for letting us have that as well. All right, let

Speaker 1: me talk about Father's Day. First of all. Day by

Speaker 1: day you're going to see what I'm asking you to

Speaker 1: look out for at the moment, various underwhelming ideas of

Speaker 1: what to get Dad. Yesterday, I'm in a shop, very

Speaker 1: popular one. I go to a lot of love going there.

Speaker 1: A Japanese clothes shop. Okay, no, no, no, there's several

Speaker 1: of them, chair and pants. I'm in a very popular

Speaker 1: chain or around the world. Actually anyway, right in the

Speaker 1: ground level, I go in and there's a table, you know,

Speaker 1: the table Father's Day gifts. There's three T shirts cream

Speaker 1: brown black. That's it, just plain, that's it. Just three

Speaker 1: T shirts cream brown black, Like that's the emotional range

Speaker 1: of us dads. How's dad? You know creams could could

Speaker 1: get get into brown, That's it. That's the idea. These

Speaker 1: this T shirt you sell every day, Why these Father's

Speaker 1: Day I imagine they maybe couldn't sell them in brown.

Speaker 1: What's a brown T shirt? He said. As soon as

Speaker 1: I saw this mud color thing, I thought of you.

Speaker 6: Oh, it's not even a special occasion shirt that would.

Speaker 1: Given me so much. I give it back to you

Speaker 1: with a nineteen dollars T shirt. Anyway, my Father's Day

Speaker 1: had been sorted on Sunday, and then I found out

Speaker 1: yesterday this will be the first Father's Day I will

Speaker 1: be alone. No, now I have. I've entered the new

Speaker 1: phase of fatherhood, which is called redundancy.

Speaker 15: Oh, corsam all alone. There's no one here, sad me.

Speaker 1: One daughter will be in Japan. The other daughter now

Speaker 1: called me yesterday to say it clashes. So if it's

Speaker 1: my fault, it clashes dad Father's Day with Battle of

Speaker 1: the Bands.

Speaker 6: No, sorry, sorry, sorry that I don't know.

Speaker 15: That, cossam all alone. There's no one here, sad me.

Speaker 5: And if I remember correctly, you did ask to go

Speaker 5: with your daughter to this Japan.

Speaker 1: I don't forget prodicicate then said it will be, it'll be.

Speaker 1: It'd be wrong if I went. Some people understand boundaries.

Speaker 1: Let me say that for another show. So yeah, this

Speaker 1: Father's Day, but also no, you gotta be honest, guys,

Speaker 1: as they get older, neither our kids live at home anymore.

Speaker 1: The job built into it is you should start fading

Speaker 1: into the background. And also what I love ething, says

Speaker 1: a dad. We have daughters. One's going to be in Japan,

Speaker 1: the other one is in Battle of the Bands? Can

Speaker 1: you go watch the Battle of the Bands? I did

Speaker 1: ask that, No, don't want you in Japan, or don't

Speaker 1: want you at the maddle of the Man. You can't

Speaker 1: even go to the Battle of It, I said. I

Speaker 1: said to her, you you go win the Battle of

Speaker 1: the Bend, Papa. This one's for my dad. One three,

Speaker 1: say to her, who arranges the mands? We only get

Speaker 1: one half day, it's about an hour in the morning.

Speaker 1: Who arranges it for Father's Day? All these students that

Speaker 1: don't care.

Speaker 5: About and not even during the night, during the day

Speaker 5: the day Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 1: So yeah, So my wife goes to me, what are

Speaker 1: you going to do on the big day? For a

Speaker 1: walk or something? She goes, well, we can hang out.

Speaker 1: Do you want to watch a funny movie with me?

Speaker 1: Like we've have done the I want to just forget it,

Speaker 1: just forget it this year and then Ruby is going

Speaker 1: to be in Japan. She goes, well, look, the time,

Speaker 1: Defen's pretty good. I'll probably able to FaceTime you for

Speaker 1: a quick chat. Oh well, I don't say he's paying

Speaker 1: for the old chapantry. If you go, just squeeze out

Speaker 1: a quick meet and Greek with the old man FaceTime.

Speaker 1: If the satellite is going to lighten us, that will

Speaker 1: just be wonderful. And also the lois who is in battle.

Speaker 1: The bands didn't didn't come to me directly with that one. Oh,

Speaker 1: she rang mom to go, How do I can you

Speaker 1: tell him? Can you tell she's doing Cats in the Cradle?

Speaker 1: See no. Earlier on the show, I was telling you

Speaker 1: about the the hour wait. I hadn't kmart. My wife

Speaker 1: got in the car and just like I'm just going

Speaker 1: to give you the new straightaway, neitherm would be around

Speaker 1: for Father's Day. I've just been waiting this car part

Speaker 1: for an hour and.

Speaker 15: The alsam all alone. There's no one here.

Speaker 5: Be sad.

Speaker 1: Me girls enjoyed Japan and you go win by the

Speaker 1: bounds of.

Speaker 3: Papa Christian O'Connell show go on podcast.

Speaker 1: Good morning to Paul Knich. You are Christian, Yes, thank you, Paul, Christian.

Speaker 1: There is a silver lining. You have raised strong, independent women.

Speaker 1: You've done a great job, and the reward for that is.

Speaker 15: Car Sam all alone? Did no one here be sad?

Speaker 13: Me?

Speaker 1: Oh wait, there is FaceTime is coming through. Maybe I

Speaker 1: could book a table and just take two iPad screams.

Speaker 1: My virtual daughters join me lying from battle the Bans

Speaker 1: and Tokio just like you here, guys, all right, coming

Speaker 1: up after eight this morning? The wrong? Your story is

Speaker 1: anything to do with the theme the wrong. We've had

Speaker 1: some great stories. The last couple of weeks.

Speaker 2: I went to England for a holiday and I found

Speaker 2: these boots and they cost a bomb and I thought,

Speaker 2: stuff it, I'm going to buy them. Brought them home.

Speaker 2: They were two different sizes.

Speaker 14: On the LANCEAVO and I surveyed the wrong block. We

Speaker 14: knocked on the door and the guy came out and

Speaker 14: we took where the surveys here to surveys the block

Speaker 14: and subdivided it. The look on the guy's face was

Speaker 14: my brother, He's done that to me. And he just

Speaker 14: jumped in the car and roughed off and we checked

Speaker 14: our file. Wrong address, So jumped in the car and

Speaker 14: just bolted as quick as we could.

Speaker 11: We were flying from Australia to Budapest in Hungary and

Speaker 11: we accidentally got off in Bucharest in room Maine.

Speaker 1: All right, lines are but now your stories about the wrong.

Speaker 3: The Christian O'Connell show podcast.

Speaker 1: The Wrong Your stories about the wrong, Good Morning, Annabelle.

Speaker 1: The wrong car. I thought it was my husband sitting

Speaker 1: in the retailer's car park in our white suv. Hopped

Speaker 1: in the passing the seat, saw lots of stuff on

Speaker 1: the seat, went to turn him to move it. But

Speaker 1: then I said the driver was on my husband. The

Speaker 1: driver went hello. My husband was waving at me in

Speaker 1: the next white suv. Craze got the wrong the Oh

Speaker 1: my god, the wrong sugar. D damn damn mouse is working.

Speaker 1: My auntie came over and made us porridge for breakfast.

Speaker 1: Instead of putting brown sugar on top, she put coscus

Speaker 1: on it. Yeah, oh my god, Criscus is foul anyway,

Speaker 1: on top of porridge. She's working up the mouse. She

Speaker 1: didn't believe us whom we complained, and she forced us

Speaker 1: to eat os porridge foul. Rio. You've got a story

Speaker 1: about the wrong. Yeah.

Speaker 5: I just spoke to my parents last night on the phone.

Speaker 5: They just got back from a trip to the Mold

Speaker 5: Deves and I'm saying, oh, you must go, you must go,

Speaker 5: as the only reason we haven't been to the mall

Speaker 5: dims is we haven't thought.

Speaker 1: About the opportunity or marketing awareness of dollars a night.

Speaker 5: And so Mom there in this beautiful villa and she

Speaker 5: was saying that the front door and the bathroom door

Speaker 5: look almost identical. And so Mom goes.

Speaker 1: To have a shower.

Speaker 5: She's got no tower, she's got clothes on. Instead of

Speaker 5: walking through the bathroom door, she looks out the front door.

Speaker 1: Mum's show the dolls behind us.

Speaker 5: Dad's having a nap, and so Mom runs into like

Speaker 5: this little like alcove where there's like a maintenance shed

Speaker 5: something like that.

Speaker 1: Watched a scene out Benny Hill.

Speaker 6: That's death as.

Speaker 1: A bloody post because he's almost eighty. You can barely

Speaker 1: hear you when you're next to it. What happened? No, no, no, no,

Speaker 1: the poor thing just horrific. Patsy, you got a stir

Speaker 1: about the wrong We're in the Bunnings.

Speaker 8: The Love God and I one day and we were

Speaker 8: just walking just having a browse, and I went to

Speaker 8: reach out for his hand because quite often when we walk,

Speaker 8: you know when we're in public.

Speaker 1: Oh, we'll hold hands. Oh you're seen out with like

Speaker 1: a care, won't you, Cara. I mean he's yours.

Speaker 6: Anyway.

Speaker 8: I went to reach for his hand and held it,

Speaker 8: and then I looked around. Only it wasn't Chris's hand.

Speaker 8: It was another bloke and he.

Speaker 1: Hadn't said anything. Well, he hit the jackpot. Why would

Speaker 1: he exactly? He's only natural, isn't he.

Speaker 6: Anyway?

Speaker 8: He was just horrified and bemused at the same time.

Speaker 1: And I said, oh my goodness, I'm sorry, Bunnings thing

Speaker 1: so you can pick up lamps and the wife and

Speaker 1: the wife. You really can't get everything under one room.

Speaker 15: Not my husband.

Speaker 3: The Christian O'Connell show podcast this Sunday.

Speaker 1: It is the Sydney Mouth and runners. Two hundred thousand

Speaker 1: people lining the root, cheering them all on as well.

Speaker 1: One of them will be our very own in turn, Pete,

Speaker 1: and we wish him all the worst. There must be

Speaker 1: nerves kicking in now, Pete.

Speaker 4: Oh they have kicked in so massively.

Speaker 7: And I thought I was going to be better than

Speaker 7: I was last year when I first did my first

Speaker 7: ever marathon. This year, I'm feeling it's already the butterflies

Speaker 7: have already kicked in this morning. This so much I'm

Speaker 7: putting myself under a bit of pressure.

Speaker 1: But I'm also so have you got You've got a

Speaker 1: time goal?

Speaker 7: Yeah, I want three hours and thirty minutes, which so quick.

Speaker 7: I don't think it's three.

Speaker 1: Hours thirty But you're a superfit guy. You do a

Speaker 1: lot of running.

Speaker 4: Look at when I say run, ey jog like I do.

Speaker 1: Not three minutes, three and a half hours. No, Pete

Speaker 1: can forest company all the way through.

Speaker 7: This is to go inside my mental head for a moment. Honestly,

Speaker 7: I watch reels on Instagram. I watched moments in time

Speaker 7: of like you know you're Kathy Freeman's and you know

Speaker 7: Sally pa isn't on the hurdles, And I think, yes, Peter,

Speaker 7: you could, But then I go, you're not.

Speaker 4: You're not least, But like, I just start to envision that.

Speaker 1: But you've got to You've got to aim for something, mate.

Speaker 7: I know I just want to win it one year,

Speaker 7: but anyway that's not gonna happen. But what's gonna happen?

Speaker 1: Wait, you want to win it one year?

Speaker 7: Well, I know I'm forty ish and you know it

Speaker 7: could be one of those things that maybe it could

Speaker 7: be maybe.

Speaker 1: I just know we need to be honest with him.

Speaker 1: You know it ain't gonna happen, mate.

Speaker 4: Oh okay, you're.

Speaker 1: Born in the wrong country. I'm sorry.

Speaker 4: The things that are starting to I'm.

Speaker 1: Not saying, just look at who's won it. What's missing?

Speaker 1: What's missing?

Speaker 3: Ye?

Speaker 1: Well you tell me Pete.

Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you, thank you, thank you for yourself for

Speaker 7: this is what's happening with my headspace and things at

Speaker 7: the moment. I have been told over the last sort

Speaker 7: of a few days and until Sunday, drink lots of water.

Speaker 7: I'm up to two and a half liters this morning alone.

Speaker 7: I haven't stopped going to the tour every ten minutes

Speaker 7: because I really want to make sure I'm hydrated.

Speaker 1: I've got to go and buy my I think that

Speaker 1: means sort of during the race, not Shuesday before the race.

Speaker 1: You've got a days beforehand because you're obviously passing out. Now.

Speaker 7: I'm going to a gel tasting session this afternoon where

Speaker 7: I'm tasting the different gels that I'm going to be

Speaker 7: using on the day as well. I'll be getting pickle

Speaker 7: juice as well. That you've got your nipple tape. Yeah,

Speaker 7: got the nipple tape. I've got the chafing cream as well.

Speaker 7: And that's a normal Sunday. Let's leave that out.

Speaker 1: If you do need to go to the loop, just

Speaker 1: need to do a quick week, don't you.

Speaker 4: The way now there's port along the way, not.

Speaker 1: For the first five k. No, there so many emailed

Speaker 1: me to warm pete at first five k there's no toilets.

Speaker 7: Friendly reminded the gels that to be used along the way,

Speaker 7: not eat eaten all at once like.

Speaker 4: I did last year.

Speaker 7: I ate them all before the actual race because we're

Speaker 7: waiting there for a couple of hours.

Speaker 1: I'm not being funny. That is so up. I got

Speaker 1: caught up in the moment.

Speaker 7: But for people of New South Wales, and I think

Speaker 7: a lot of people know about this, the berry in

Speaker 7: Berry in New South Wales, there's a donut van.

Speaker 6: Oh yeah, donut and.

Speaker 7: They're coming to the Sydney Marathon that we're all going

Speaker 7: to eat donuts.

Speaker 1: They're going to clean up, won't they.

Speaker 4: Yeah, it's going to be absolutely massive.

Speaker 7: So I'm also today I'm going to get the print

Speaker 7: out of my mum's photo.

Speaker 4: Who is no longer with us and she the microphone.

Speaker 1: There's that.

Speaker 7: Yeah, Mum's photo, which will be with me in a

Speaker 7: couple of spots.

Speaker 1: What a load well and what a lovely thing to do.

Speaker 1: Did you do that last year? Yeah?

Speaker 4: I did that for mama.

Speaker 1: So Mum's with you, keeping you going pretty much.

Speaker 7: Any run I go on, Mum is there with me,

Speaker 7: which is just a nice thing that I just like

Speaker 7: to think of her, that she we did a few

Speaker 7: runs together and all that sort of stuff over the years.

Speaker 1: So something like, well you did set you to serf

Speaker 1: with it, didn't you walk it to together?

Speaker 7: I had a back operation and part of my recovery

Speaker 7: was I wanted to do the City to Serf and

Speaker 7: Mum said, I've never walked past five k's. Let's let's

Speaker 7: do it together. So we did the City of theF together.

Speaker 4: I wasn't mad. It took us about six hours.

Speaker 1: To be honest with it, doesn't matter. What a great

Speaker 1: memory to have with your mom.

Speaker 4: Yeah that was that was really good.

Speaker 1: Actually. Yeah. The reason why Pete is doing radio, his

Speaker 1: love of radio comes from his mum. It's got a

Speaker 1: nice lovely story about his mum being obsessed with the

Speaker 1: radio and what it means to a lot of people.

Speaker 1: But it's such a lovely story.

Speaker 4: Pete, thank you. We had we had a radio in every.

Speaker 7: Room of the health because Mum was obsessed with radio

Speaker 7: growing up.

Speaker 4: So that's but it used to be.

Speaker 1: That's the way it used to be before like you

Speaker 1: know streaming on our phones and you know on our

Speaker 1: TV screens, the radio used to be in most rooms

Speaker 1: of the house. It was like it was everywhere. You've

Speaker 1: got the news. I think you've got the news, really,

Speaker 1: you know, before often before TV because TVs would only

Speaker 1: be on in the morning once and then at night time.

Speaker 1: There wasn't howl in news bulletins. There was no rolling

Speaker 1: news TV channels. That's still quite a recent thing. And

Speaker 1: so with the radio you get more updated news from

Speaker 1: the radio. So radio was a way of keeping communities

Speaker 1: up to date. Radio used to be a really big thing.

Speaker 1: Of course, it's steady, steadish, steadies, stead so it must

Speaker 1: update that Ted Talk radio is dying, dying, it's dying,

Speaker 1: dying to come alive now, Pete. What I wanted to

Speaker 1: keep you going over the forty two case is I

Speaker 1: want to give away each k so that as you're

Speaker 1: doing the K. You're going to name each K you're

Speaker 1: about to because you are going to hit moments where

Speaker 1: you are going to be struggling physically and mentally. And

Speaker 1: I want if we break it down forget about the

Speaker 1: mouth and part of it. You know about the distance

Speaker 1: you've got your time goal through in half hours. It

Speaker 1: is a series of moments by moments by moments moments,

Speaker 1: and some of them are going to get really hard.

Speaker 1: If you remind yourself what you're doing the next K

Speaker 1: for and we break it down for you, I'm hoping

Speaker 1: that we can get you better support than last year.

Speaker 1: Oh this is so good.

Speaker 4: I love this so much.

Speaker 7: So we need like names of so each K will

Speaker 7: be dedicate one to Christian, one to Patsy, one to Rio,

Speaker 7: one to Caitlin.

Speaker 4: But there'll be the listeners that can call in a register.

Speaker 1: That's exactly that, that's exactly. I'm glad you understand. It

Speaker 1: ain't complicated or something you know. So it's a name

Speaker 1: and a kant to make. Got production ready give it?

Speaker 3: Give Christian Condor Show podcast Pete.

Speaker 1: One thing I saw when you're doing the Sydney Mouth

Speaker 1: on this weekend. The bright side it is are going

Speaker 1: to be with you every single step. My friends.

Speaker 7: Starting to feel really good about this now, Thank you

Speaker 7: so much. Everyone listening in that's calling in. I can

Speaker 7: see the screen.

Speaker 1: Generally, I'm in all of it. I think it's incredible

Speaker 1: thing to do it once a mountain and how are

Speaker 1: you doing it again? You've got your target? Yes, Now,

Speaker 1: Reo had a lovely idea. So if he's tuned in

Speaker 1: inter Pete is doing the Sydney Mouth on this weekend,

Speaker 1: and we wish them all the most and I really

Speaker 1: want to make sure that we support them along the way.

Speaker 1: And I thought a nice way to do that is

Speaker 1: to give away each of the forty two ks so

Speaker 1: we can personalize it. But you hadn't. You're just saying

Speaker 1: about how he's going to be running with a photo

Speaker 1: of his beloved mum. You're in a nice field where

Speaker 1: mum's names should be in this. Yeah.

Speaker 5: I think maybe we give away forty one case to

Speaker 5: listeners and the final K can be for your mum.

Speaker 1: Pete.

Speaker 7: That's a great idea. That's perfect. Thanks rret No, that's

Speaker 7: perfect because that the last K is pretty much the

Speaker 7: one that I go where he now, there's nothing to lose,

Speaker 7: go for it. I do think about her a lot

Speaker 7: on the last part parts of any run.

Speaker 1: Oh lovely Christian. I love to sponsor a KVE for Pete.

Speaker 1: Good luck to him. Rhiannon's my name, so we can

Speaker 1: sing my dedication, Rhanna, my fluting back this. He ain't

Speaker 1: doing karaoke on the way around. They're actually knowing Pete.
