Speaker 3: have belongs to one another we have separate accounts we

Speaker 3: have joint accounts especially in investment accounts but we don't

Speaker 3: trip out of our money man we just live aloha aloha.

Speaker 4: Aloha brother your six o'clock keyword is money m-o-n-e-y Go

Speaker 2: Let's do sports.

Speaker 1: It's time to get your game on. As the Jim

Speaker 1: Colbert Show brings you the man who brings the heat,

Speaker 1: the insight, and the takes you didn't even know you needed.

Speaker 1: From the biggest headlines to the stories flying under the radar,

Speaker 1: we've got you covered. So buckle up, because the sports

Speaker 1: world never sleeps. And neither does this guy. The most

Speaker 1: popular sports broadcaster on 96.9 The Game.

Speaker 2: You paid us to say that.

Speaker 1: Brandon Kravitz.

Speaker 2: Good job, Brandon Kravitz! Yay!

Speaker 4: Woo-hoo!

Speaker 2: That thing is 28 seconds long. Yeah. That's a 28-second

Speaker 2: long intro, buddy. So good. So thick.

Speaker 4: It's actually, start to finish with the fade, it's 34.

Speaker 2: Is it really?

Speaker 4: And that's because someone complained that they didn't get their.

Speaker 2: Due and they needed their specially produced promo. It was

Speaker 2: a complaint. It was a request. More of a request.

Speaker 2: More of an ask.

Speaker 4: I made something so over the top that I thought

Speaker 4: even this person would say, okay, that's too much.

Speaker 2: Let's cut it back a little. And he's like.

Speaker 4: I love it i love every second need to add

Speaker 4: more add more more amendments how you doing buddy good

Speaker 4: to see you i'm doing good sorry i had to

Speaker 4: skip out on you guys last week you got hairy

Speaker 4: yeah no worries it's going around man everybody's got a

Speaker 4: little something something jack got a little something something for

Speaker 4: a couple days my wife got a little something something

Speaker 4: for a couple days.

Speaker 5: And i was the third one in the house so

Speaker 5: my kid got sick first then my wife got sick

Speaker 5: and you start walking around with your chest out a

Speaker 5: little bit like I'm good.

Speaker 2: I'm good. You guys need to work on that immune system.

Speaker 2: I'm a man. Then you're not good. And then all

Speaker 2: of a sudden, I mean, Tuesday. And then you're the

Speaker 2: biggest baby out of the three of them.

Speaker 5: No doubt. I look back and I'm like, my six-year-old

Speaker 5: felt like this.

Speaker 2: How is he moving? Functioning. How can I move on Tuesday?

Speaker 4: Well, because of your intro, we only have 30 seconds left.

Speaker 1: 3607.

Speaker 2: My God.

Speaker 4: In the NFL this weekend was kind of an interesting weekend.

Speaker 4: And you and I discussed this last week, like, There

Speaker 4: is no rhyme or reason to who wins in the

Speaker 4: NFL anymore. I mean, it's the most bizarre thing. You'll

Speaker 4: have teams that look like they're for real. You look

Speaker 4: at the Browns, you're like, oh, man, wow, the Browns

Speaker 4: are for real. Then they get beat by the Jets.

Speaker 4: Then the Bucs can't win. Then they beat the Cowboys

Speaker 4: at home, and I'd be beat the piss out of them.

Speaker 4: Not even funny.

Speaker 2: So when you look at the league right now, what

Speaker 2: are you thinking?

Speaker 5: It feels like trying to predict what happens in this

Speaker 5: league is like trying to keep a marble on a

Speaker 5: porcelain plate while riding a unicycle. That's how hard it

Speaker 5: is to balance what you see. It's, it's an old adage.

Speaker 5: I'm talking about the NFL. It's a week to week league.

Speaker 5: And no matter how many times you hear it, no

Speaker 5: matter how many times you experience it, it's still kind

Speaker 5: of smacks you in the face, but it very much is.

Speaker 5: And all these guys are professionals. They, they, They get paid,

Speaker 5: even the bad teams, to show up and perform. And

Speaker 5: so if you're not playing at your best or you're

Speaker 5: a little under the weather, like the Saints were sick.

Speaker 5: The report came out before the game against the Vikings

Speaker 5: that the entire team had an illness. Well, we're talking

Speaker 5: about things going around. They played quite poorly against the

Speaker 5: Minnesota Vikings. The Eagles were dealing with a load of injuries. Uh,

Speaker 5: they're starting right tackle. One of the best offensive linemen

Speaker 5: in the game retired abruptly before the game, uh, Saquon

Speaker 5: Barkley's out. They go to London to take on the

Speaker 5: Jags who are familiar with that location.

Speaker 2: And they went a lot there too.

Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 5: And if not for a coaching blunder by the Philadelphia

Speaker 5: Eagles at the end of that game, they would, they

Speaker 5: would have beat the Jaguars. So, you know, sometimes it

Speaker 5: can be a prediction when, when you know of these

Speaker 5: injuries and illnesses and things like that.

Speaker 4: But it's just so tough to predict. And the best

Speaker 4: game of the year, I think, so far coming up tonight.

Speaker 4: I mean, the Rams and the Bills is going to

Speaker 4: be such a great game in L.A. I mean, and

Speaker 4: we'll find out now if the Buffalo is an elite.

Speaker 4: And we'll find out if the Rams have anything. And,

Speaker 4: I mean, I think it's kind of down to like

Speaker 4: maybe three or four teams now that we know for

Speaker 4: a fact are going to be tough to beat every

Speaker 4: single week. I would say the two playing tonight, I'd

Speaker 4: say the Chiefs are pretty good right now.

Speaker 2: Yep, and the 49ers. Oh, my God, the 49ers. The

Speaker 2: 49ers go into Seattle tonight.

Speaker 5: The 49ers have now bagged maybe the two most impressive

Speaker 5: wins of the season. If we were grading victories, they

Speaker 5: beat the Rams. They beat the snot out of the

Speaker 5: Rams in Australia. And then they go on the road

Speaker 5: to Seattle.

Speaker 2: One of the toughest places in the NFL to play.

Speaker 2: No doubt.

Speaker 5: And Seattle has the ball. They're down by three. They've

Speaker 5: got the ball with a minute left. They're driving fast.

Speaker 5: And Sam Darnold kind of overthrows Jackson Smith and Jigba

Speaker 5: a little bit. That's still a catch that JSN usually makes.

Speaker 5: He drops it. And then, I mean, it comes down

Speaker 5: to inches with Cooper Cup leaning over the first down line.

Speaker 2: They don't give it to him.

Speaker 5: Turnover on downs. But the huge, I think one of

Speaker 5: the biggest assists for the 49ers is has been the

Speaker 5: addition of Mike Evans. He has made such a difference

Speaker 5: for this team. He's got Brock Purdy looking like an

Speaker 5: MVP right now. And not only is he making an

Speaker 5: impact to the 49ers, the loss of Mike Evans has

Speaker 5: made a huge impact for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Their defense,

Speaker 5: as we learned on Thursday, is not the problem. Their

Speaker 5: issue is their offense. If they still had Mike Evans,

Speaker 5: I think he'd be worth an extra win or two, which,

Speaker 5: by the way, if they had that, they'd be in

Speaker 5: first place of their division.

Speaker 4: Pretty good running game over there. They have two good

Speaker 4: backs over there, Irving and what's the other guy's name?

Speaker 4: I can't remember his name ever.

Speaker 2: Kenneth Gainwell. Yeah, Gainwell.

Speaker 4: They're playing great. I mean, the line seems to be

Speaker 4: holding up okay, but they have no passing game. And

Speaker 4: the problem is you don't have the ability to do

Speaker 4: play action or anything like that. Everybody hones in on

Speaker 4: the run and it's really difficult to score points.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 5: And with the backup quarterback, they're one of the worst

Speaker 5: third down teams in the league. I think that's a

Speaker 5: really good predictor for offensive successes. Who's able to convert.

Speaker 5: Everybody's going to face third downs, but what do you

Speaker 5: do when you get there? The bucks have been one

Speaker 5: of the worst teams in the league with that. And

Speaker 5: the elixir for them was playing against the Cowboys. Whose

Speaker 5: defense was, I thought it was going to be better

Speaker 5: this year. It's not, it's the same, same old Cowboys,

Speaker 5: good offense, bad defense. And they just, They just fell

Speaker 5: asleep at the wheel on Thursday night. Who do you

Speaker 5: like tonight? I like the Rams tonight. I think this

Speaker 5: is a night where they reestablish being the Super Bowl

Speaker 5: favorites that they came into the season. as most thought

Speaker 5: they would be. The big issue for the Bills is

Speaker 5: that they've let everybody they play throw on.

Speaker 2: Them at will.

Speaker 4: Their secondary is not stopping anybody. You can have all

Speaker 4: the Josh Allens you want, but if your defense is

Speaker 4: just like a sieve, it's not going to matter. He's

Speaker 4: going to have to score every possession to keep up.

Speaker 5: Allen has to be perfect, and as good as Josh

Speaker 5: Allen is, he can be turnover prone. So if he

Speaker 5: starts turning the ball over, we know the Rams are

Speaker 5: going to be able to score on this Bills team.

Speaker 5: I think it's one of those days where the home

Speaker 5: team puts their– I think they're going to put the

Speaker 5: throttle on Buffalo.

Speaker 4: The key for me with guys like this and the

Speaker 4: guys like Lamar is this. When these teams get into

Speaker 4: third quarter, and if they're behind by 10 points– the

Speaker 4: quarterbacks seem to take it upon themselves to force plays

Speaker 4: to get something going, to let the team know that

Speaker 4: they're there for it. It's happened with the Ravens so often,

Speaker 4: and now it's starting to happen a little bit with

Speaker 4: this guy. He feels like he has to put the

Speaker 4: entire team on his back if they're behind in the

Speaker 4: end of the third quarter going into the fourth quarter,

Speaker 4: and they make some very kind of pushed decisions or

Speaker 4: hero decisions that really don't need to be made. And

Speaker 4: we'll see if he can kind of get beyond that tonight.

Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5: That's been one of the big issues for Ravens. for

Speaker 5: him is that because the defense has always been a problem,

Speaker 5: he enters hero mode. We saw that with Joe Burrow

Speaker 5: a week ago. He did the exact same thing where

Speaker 5: he just felt like he had to put up all

Speaker 5: these points in order for the team to win, and

Speaker 5: they bounced back big. They took on the Miami Dolphins

Speaker 5: this past weekend, and the score was 31-24. It really

Speaker 5: wasn't that close. Miami scores at the very end of

Speaker 5: the game to make it look slightly more appealing.

Speaker 2: And to ruin spreads, yeah.

Speaker 5: And to ruin some spreads, depending on which side of

Speaker 5: that you may have landed on. I'm having a really

Speaker 5: hard time watching the Miami dolphins, but Hey, how about this? Okay.

Speaker 5: As we bounce around the league, I was crapping all

Speaker 5: over Deb's green Bay Packers a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 5: I left them like many for dead. And this team

Speaker 5: now is sitting at three and two. They're going to

Speaker 5: get Micah Parsons back sooner rather than later. I don't

Speaker 5: think he's going to play on Sunday though. That would

Speaker 5: be theater because they play the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Yeah. That would be cool.

Speaker 5: 31-7, they just thumped the Chicago Bears. And honestly, it

Speaker 5: could have been worse. There was a moment in the

Speaker 5: second quarter, it was 14-7, Jordan Love throws a deep ball, touchdown,

Speaker 5: refs throw a flag, call it back. They run almost

Speaker 5: the exact same play, offensive pass interference, they called it back.

Speaker 5: A third time. They go deep to Christian Watson, their

Speaker 5: star wide receiver, and he throws a touchdown pass. It

Speaker 5: was like they scored 21 points in a span.

Speaker 2: Of two seconds.

Speaker 5: And it was just whatever they wanted to do. So

Speaker 5: they're back on track. That's really cool to see. They'll

Speaker 5: be on Sunday night football next week. The Houston Texans

Speaker 5: finally picked up a win. They won 26 to three

Speaker 5: against the lowly Tennessee Titans, but a big one in London.

Speaker 5: The Jags are parked in England. And the Texans will

Speaker 5: be flying over Sunday morning. Big divisional game.

Speaker 2: Advantage Jacksonville being there already for sure.

Speaker 5: Definitely advantage Jacksonville, but I did not like how easily.

Speaker 5: the Eagles got after Trevor Lawrence in that game. I

Speaker 5: think the Jags offensive line could be a problem. That's

Speaker 5: the problem. It is the problem.

Speaker 4: I mean, you can watch that team and say it

Speaker 4: clicks everywhere, but they are not protecting this guy. He's

Speaker 4: getting way too much heat, especially this deep in his career.

Speaker 4: They just haven't built a line that keeps this guy

Speaker 4: safe yet. And they're not running the ball well. So

Speaker 4: they're a good team, but they've got some holes.

Speaker 2: We want to get into UCF football real quick.

Speaker 5: So UCF, second week in a row, on the road,

Speaker 5: tight game, fourth quarter, and their opponent just ends up

Speaker 5: rolling from there. Drew Mestamaker is the quarterback at Oklahoma State.

Speaker 5: The guy doesn't make many mistakes. He's probably going to

Speaker 5: be a first-round quarterback in the NFL draft. And UCF fumbled.

Speaker 5: It turned into a touchdown for Oklahoma State, and it

Speaker 5: was a rout from there. They're still waiting to get

Speaker 5: Alonzo Barnett back. And that's their starting quarterback right now.

Speaker 5: It just kind of feels like Matt watching UCF. It's

Speaker 5: really unfortunate the way their season has unfolded.

Speaker 2: And then Orlando magic start. I mean, I mean, no

Speaker 2: preseason has started.

Speaker 5: There were two games into the preseason. They lost yesterday

Speaker 5: to the calves. Doesn't matter.

Speaker 2: Preseason.

Speaker 5: I am on my first magic broadcast of the year. Wow.

Speaker 2: Tomorrow night.

Speaker 5: We're doing the magic calves home game. So I'll be

Speaker 5: at the Kia center for that one. But yeah, I'm

Speaker 5: excited to see what the team is able to produce the,

Speaker 5: Basketball season always comes out of absolutely nowhere.

Speaker 1: Yeah, nowhere.

Speaker 2: I just saw that. I just saw on TV. I

Speaker 2: was like, oh, yeah, it's Orlando playing the Cavs. I'm like, what?

Speaker 2: Get out of here. That's so weird. They're watching playoff baseball.

Speaker 2: Get out of here. I mean, I work it. I

Speaker 2: live it. I love it. And every year I go, wait, what? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2: Sneaks up on you like crazy.

Speaker 5: Tomorrow night, if you want to listen to the pregame show,

Speaker 5: it'll be on 96.9 The Game at 630.
