Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to your True Crime Podcast. In this
police interview, investigators question Janet Garcia about her missing son
after family members reportedly could not locate him and blood
was reported at a residence. Garcia describes taking her son
to a hospital and leaving him with a caregiver while
investigators try to verify her account.
Speaker 2: I have no idea what, I mean, he fell off
of the bed we were sleeping on to the ground
and then I took him somewhere so I could go
get help. And so that's where he's at. I don't
know anything else. My car's not here. My car is
back in Seattle, and that's it.
Speaker 3: That's all I know.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: What do you mean you took him somewhere?
Speaker 3: I took him to Anita's house, and that's it.
Speaker 5: What about the hospital?
Speaker 2: We went in there, but he didn't get seen because
I didn't want to wait. So we went in there.
We were just there, and then I took my son,
and I was like, let's go.
Speaker 3: And we left.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: And that's in Everett at Providence, you said?
Speaker 7: But you said you did check him.
Speaker 8: In yes so at this time deputy messman is going
to take over watching the car and it'll be sealed up.
Speaker 6: And i am ending my request.
Speaker 7: There's a providence everett medical center is it a big
hospital it's a pretty big hospital.
Speaker 5: Where are you living in Everett?
Speaker 7: What's the address where you were staying, or the friend
you were staying with, where you left from this morning?
Speaker 3: Oh, that's my friend. So I can give you her address,
but I don't know. 01 Vesper Drive. V-E-S-P-E 98204. And
we only stayed there for two nights, and then we left.
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 7: What's near that Vesper Drive address? Is there, like, something
you can tell me that's near there? Like a restaurant or.
Speaker 3: Jack in the Box?
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 5: So there's a Jack in the Box right there.
Speaker 7: Mm-hmm. Which direction is the hospital from there that you
had to go? Do you remember, like, how you would
get to the hospital from there?
Speaker 3: I think down 99.
Speaker 7: Do you have any other issues, like, with your memory
or recalling things that there would be a reason that
you couldn't, like, remember?
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 3: Something? No, I have, um, um, I had PTSD, but, um,
I'm doing, like, counseling. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Today I had my counseling appointment with my son, but
we missed it.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 3: But we do, like, therapy, like that, family therapy. Just
me and my kids.
Speaker 5: Nice.
Speaker 3: Things aren't good at home, so that's why. Things are, like, horrible.
Speaker 2: And I'm upset because I wanted to, I was living
somewhere good, and I needed to have my oldest son
with me, but my mom took him, so then.
Speaker 5: How old's your oldest son?
Speaker 3: He's seven years old, and he's tired, like, so.
Speaker 5: Yeah, your kids are the same age as mine.
Speaker 3: I'm an eight-year-old.
Speaker 10: Nice.
Speaker 5: So.
Speaker 11: Hello.
Speaker 7: How's it going?
Speaker 12: Good.
Speaker 5: He's Detective Silveria.
Speaker 3: Nice to meet you.
Speaker 13: Nice to meet you.
Speaker 5: What's your name?
Speaker 14: Jeanette.
Speaker 15: Jeanette.
Speaker 7: Where's Jen?
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 5: She's trying to figure out.
Speaker 16: She knows that we're trying to find out where her
son is and that we're going to be probably sitting
here until we can find him because we just need
to make sure that he's safe. So we're having a
hard time pinpointing where he was last taken.
Speaker 15: Oh, okay.
Speaker 5: We have the name of the friend, but we don't
have a phone number.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 7: Maybe we did.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 5: But it doesn't work.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 5: Can we.
What time did you call her today?
Speaker 3: Early in the morning. I think at like 12 or 1.
Speaker 7: Like in the middle of the night?
Speaker 3: No, in the morning. In the afternoon.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 17: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Can we look at your call log and see if
there's a call from there at that time?
Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys can check my call log, of course.
Speaker 5: Can you just set it here so I can see?
Speaker 9: Yes.
Speaker 18: Okay.
Speaker 5: Is this your only kiddo?
Speaker 3: No, I have a second one, but he's at home.
Speaker 5: How old is he?
Speaker 3: This one's five years old. The other one's seven.
Speaker 5: Did your phone die?
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm turning it on. So, my call log.
I've been calling everybody, but you can check again.
Speaker 19: You can kind of go through it.
Speaker 5: Can I go through it?
Speaker 7: Is that okay?
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 5: I appreciate it.
Speaker 3: I only have like one call from her because I
deleted her number.
Speaker 5: Who's Dezo?
Speaker 3: That's my sister.
Speaker 5: Okay, who's Mando?
Speaker 13: My brother.
Speaker 4: Your brother?
Speaker 7: Okay, and then your mom?
Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: Who's this 626 number?
Speaker 3: That's her number.
Speaker 20: Okay.
Speaker 5: So that was at.
Is this yesterday?
Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: 7-12 p.m.
Speaker 6: Yesterday?
Speaker 3: No, that was today.
Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, it's that late already. I didn't feel like
it was that late. Who's Jasmine?
Speaker 6: My niece.
Speaker 5: And you're fine.
Speaker 3: Just tell me if you don't want me to tell you.
Speaker 5: How about this number in Everett, this 425 number?
Speaker 3: Oh, that's the police.
Speaker 6: Oh.
Speaker 2: Yeah, they were calling me to find where my son
was at. But my other son's upstairs and.
Speaker 3: Nothing, so.
Speaker 5: How about this? Padrina.
Speaker 3: Oh, that's my sponsor. That's who I come to here
at the group.
Speaker 5: Police. How about Mary?
Speaker 3: That's who we were staying with.
Speaker 11: Oh, lastly.
Speaker 5: Okay. This is all police. The 425.
Speaker 3: Your mom.
Speaker 5: That's probably a police call there. Did you talk to... Oh,
this is all yesterday.
Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 12: Okay.
Speaker 5: Were the police calling you that early this morning? Um.
Speaker 13: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: I don't know much about what happened. How did you
end up here?
Speaker 2: Well, I left my son with someone who takes care
of kids, and my parents are concerned.
Speaker 3: My parents are concerned, so now it's just like, Is
he safe? Is he not safe?
Speaker 5: Where is he at? And they're concerned because you're not
able to reach her?
Speaker 3: Because I'm not able to reach her, yeah.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 3: But it's fine.
Speaker 19: I mean.
Speaker 5: Well, it's not fine.
Speaker 13: Right.
Speaker 7: We need to figure this out.
Speaker 4: Right.
Speaker 5: So it's starting to get just a.
Speaker 12: Little bit like.
Speaker 3: Concerning, I mean, my son is there. My son is there.
And if he's not there, I don't know what else
we can do from here.
Speaker 5: But that's not a good address that you're giving us.
Speaker 3: Then I don't know what else to tell you because
that's where I left my son.
Speaker 2: Unless he's lost or unless he's with another person that's
hurting him, then I can understand.
Speaker 3: But I don't know what else to tell you.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: Like I told you earlier, I know that you care
about your son. It's very obvious.
Speaker 7: And that's why I know that you know where you
left him because you wouldn't just leave him somewhere that
you didn't know where he was.
Speaker 22: Of course.
Speaker 5: That you would go back to him.
Speaker 3: Of course.
Speaker 4: So.
Speaker 20: Was he awake when he fell out of bed? He
was awake, yeah.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 7: So try to, can you, can you explain to me
when you're going, driving to Seattle?
Speaker 5: You said it took you like two hours to get there.
Speaker 3: One hour to get there.
Speaker 2: When I got there, I took him with to the
lady and then I left and I said, hey, I'm
going to be here for 12 months and I'm leaving
and that's it.
Speaker 17: Okay.
Speaker 5: Took you an hour to get to her house.
Speaker 23: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: Can you tell me anything, like what exit you took,
what area you were in?
Speaker 3: I don't remember.
Speaker 5: What's around her house?
Speaker 3: I don't remember.
Speaker 5: How did you find out how.
Speaker 12: To get there?
Speaker 3: I don't remember. I just, I drove and I got there. Oh,
I had her address, and then I put it in
the navigation.
Speaker 5: Can I see your navigation?
Speaker 7: Yep.
Speaker 5: What do you use for your navigation? Do you use Google?
Speaker 3: Google Maps or whatever. I don't think that I used, actually,
the navigation for that one. You could check.
Speaker 5: Do you have ways to?
Speaker 3: What is that?
Speaker 5: No.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: So we should just, if we, I just want you
to be able to see what we're doing.
Speaker 7: I don't want to go anything through your phone without.
Speaker 3: Actually, I did use a navigation for that one. For
the address. Yeah, it's on there.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 5: Around what time was that that you did that?
Speaker 7: So this says recent T-Mobile. Oh, T-Mobile in Seattle.
Speaker 3: Did you go there?
Speaker 20: Yeah.
Speaker 3: Yeah. Or the T-Mobile in Seattle.
Speaker 5: It just says recent.
Speaker 3: Yes, I did.
Speaker 7: Let me see if we can do more here.
Speaker 5: Here we go.
Speaker 4: Today.
Speaker 5: Do you go to T-Mobile after you drop off your
son or before?
Speaker 3: I think I stopped by there before.
Speaker 7: Before you dropped him off?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 5: Did you get out of the car and went inside
the T-Mobile store?
Speaker 16: Yes.
Speaker 7: Yes.
Speaker 5: And your son went with you?
Speaker 3: My son went with me.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: What's the... What's this mountain?
Speaker 11: Terrace.
Speaker 3: That looks like that's the place where I went. Oh, no,
that's the church we go to.
Speaker 7: And this one here?
Speaker 5: This is where she was earlier. This is in Richfield.
Speaker 11: Oh, okay.
Speaker 5: So recent.
Speaker 3: So, and probably not the T-Mobile store. I think it's
just like a different place that I went to.
Speaker 7: Do you remember?
Speaker 5: What were you doing in that area?
Speaker 3: Let me see. I don't know why it says T-Mobile.
That's not right.
Speaker 7: I don't know.
Speaker 3: I think it's the T. I don't know why it
says that. That's not right because I never went to T-Mobile.
Speaker 4: So I don't know.
Speaker 3: Like after today or before today, I haven't gone to T-Mobile.
Let me see the address.
Speaker 7: I know.
Speaker 5: I'm trying to get back to where we were.
Speaker 3: Oh, that's when I was. Yeah, that's when I was
looking for different T-Mobiles to apply to. That's when I
was looking for a job.
Speaker 5: Okay, you're planning on applying to T-Mobile.
Speaker 2: Yeah, again, but that was before. That wasn't today. That's
not concerning today. Today, my son should be at that address,
and if he's not there, then now I'm concerned.
Speaker 7: Can I take a picture of this just so we can, like....
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 7: Maybe figure out some of these locations and see if
maybe it will.
Speaker 5: Be something.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Do you have families in Seattle?
Speaker 2: The only family that I have is this lady that
I'm telling you that is taking care.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: You got her name and all of that. Does this
lady exist? Does she have any social... Anita?
Speaker 4: What?
Speaker 5: Anita is her name?
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Does she have any social? Does she have any social media?
Speaker 4: Facebook?
Speaker 3: Instagram?
Speaker 5: No.
Speaker 3: How do you meet her? I met her through.
Speaker 2: I met her.
Speaker 3: Where did I meet her?
Speaker 9: At my job.
Speaker 3: Where is the work at? Timovo.
Speaker 7: Timovo, Timovo.
Speaker 5: Is this your friend's apartment, the Shiloh Village?
Speaker 3: I haven't been there in forever.
Speaker 5: These aren't the apartments where you were at?
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 7: Okay. So this is like old?
Speaker 24: Yeah, this is old.
Speaker 3: I haven't been there in forever. I don't even know
what that is.
Speaker 14: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Janice, do you mind if I look through your messages?
Speaker 21: I feel like you're having a hard time remembering things
and I don't know if you're in shock or what's
going on, but maybe that could help us find something?
Speaker 18: Yeah.
Speaker 15: That'd be okay?
Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: Do you mind if I see it? Yeah.
Speaker 3: And see, this is where my son fell. But you
could check my, you could check, I'm sorry, you could
check my phone.
Speaker 5: I appreciate that. I'll put it right here.
Speaker 19: Um.
Speaker 5: Who is this number that you deleted?
Speaker 2: Um.
Speaker 5: I have no idea. Recently deleted. Do you mind if
I look at those?
Speaker 3: Um, I do mind.
Speaker 7: Is there a reason?
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not hiding anything, but I mean.
Speaker 13: No, I know.
Speaker 5: It's a fair question.
Speaker 3: Yeah, let's back out of there. So, literally, this is just, like,
my friend texting me. This is my brother. Text me
the address to where your son's at.
Speaker 5: This is my sister.
Speaker 3: Please tell me where he's at.
Speaker 5: So, it's the address where your son is at?
Speaker 3: I haven't texted him anything. I haven't replied to him.
Speaker 6: My mom.
Speaker 3: We've been fighting over the kids and over her opening
the door. Mom opened the door.
Speaker 6: I'm outside.
Speaker 3: Mom opened the door. I opened the door.
Speaker 2: And she's just like done with me. And then this
is my friend.
Speaker 3: He's like, your mom's concerned. You need to text back.
Speaker 2: This is the police that I've been calling over and
over today.
Speaker 3: I called them today. This is a friend of mine.
This is also concerning. This is my older son.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 2: Who I suspect, if we can do something about it
at home where I live, who I suspect gets raped.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 3: My oldest son. And I have the address.
Speaker 5: Seven-year-old.
Speaker 3: The seven-year-old. Can you guys write that down?
Speaker 6: Yeah, seven-year-old.
Speaker 5: What's his name? Where's he staying?
Speaker 2: With grandparents. That's why we've been fighting because they don't
want to let me in. And I suspect that he's
getting raped. And I've tried calling the police and there's
like already like a CPS thing filed.
Speaker 3: And I hope that they can check him. So the address.
Speaker 5: OK, that's the address.
Speaker 2: And this is an Everett, Washington, 98204. And I suspect
he gets raped by my dad. So if we can
check that. And then other than that, that's all I have.
Speaker 3: I also have a picture and that's it.
Speaker 7: Would you be okay if she kind of read some.
Speaker 5: Of those up there on her own? Like I said,
she'll leave it. I'll leave it here so you can
see what I'm saying.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 6: What'd you say?
Speaker 4: Hi, guys.
Speaker 6: Hi.
Speaker 5: Can we talk privately?
Speaker 6: Yes. How's it going?
Speaker 7: Good, sir.
Speaker 4: How are you doing?
Speaker 6: Good. Dean. Dean, Andres. Nice to meet you. Andres?
Speaker 11: Yes, sir.
Speaker 6: Oh, Fred. Fred.
Speaker 4: Nice to meet you, Dean and Fred.
Speaker 6: Just to know our body cameras are on.
Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
Speaker 6: Okay. So you called in the female?
Speaker 18: I think my brother Daniel did.
Speaker 6: Oh, Daniel did. Okay, were you here when that happened?
I did. I was here. Okay.
Speaker 25: So can you catch us up a little bit on
what she was doing here?
Speaker 18: Well, this is an alcoholics and violence group. We help
people that want to be sober. This is a pretty
sober living house.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 18: We knew her back about four years, five years ago
she came here. She laughed, she came, she laughed, she came.
Speaker 4: And who is she?
Speaker 6: Janet.
Speaker 18: Yeah, I don't know her last name, but Janet. And
then I saw her today when I pulled up and.
Speaker 4: Sorry, guys. I think one of these people's car broke down.
Just give me one second.
Speaker 6: Hello?
Speaker 4: Yeah, be quick. I think the battery's dying. Where are
you at? In Battlegrounds.
Speaker 18: Okay, I'm going to send somebody over there. You said
you got locked out of your car?
Speaker 4: The pilot? Okay.
Speaker 18: Alright, I'll send somebody over and see if we have
a spare key here. Just hang tight on the inside
somewhere where it's warm.
Speaker 4: Okay, bye-bye. Sorry about that, guys.
Speaker 18: So, yeah, I saw her today and she looked pretty
out of it. I mean, she had her haircut, you know,
like Britney Spears kind of thing, went crazy because she
used to have like long big black hair you know
and um daniel told me that her mom was calling
because they can't find her son and her mom went
to her house and saw blood i don't know how
dramatic it was but saw blood i don't know where
but just saw blood okay and they can't find her
son and then she's over here and daniel my brother
where's your son he's with my mom And her mom's
calling over here saying he can't find her son. I mean, she,
I mean, there's a bad connection there. I don't know
if she's lying crazy.
Speaker 4: I don't know. That's the situation from what I know.
Speaker 17: Did she seem like, uh, from the previous Janet that
you knew a couple of years ago, was it?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 24: Um, compared to today, how was her behavior?
Speaker 18: Uh, drastically different because she was always bubbly and loud
and had this big, great laugh, you know, kind of
really annoying laugh and, and talking to everybody and, And
she was just kind of with her hands in her
pockets and quiet.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 4: And just went in and sat down and didn't talk
to anybody really.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 17: When she was talking or saying, like, son's with mom,
what was her, like, speech? Was it, like, slurred? Did
you think she was under alcohol or drugs?
Speaker 18: No, I didn't get that impression. It was just, like,
it came out of her natural, like, I think she snapped.
I mean, kind of like when somebody snaps, kind of
like they just look you in the eye and it's
true to.
Speaker 4: Them kind of thing, you know?
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 18: So, um, but she didn't seem intoxicated. I mean, I've
been here for 16 years. I know somebody who's on
drugs or drunk or something, you know?
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 17: So you, you, you obviously have a pretty good feel
for if something's off or if somebody's under the influence. Um,
do you know, does she have any history of like
mental health or Anything like that going on?
Speaker 18: I mean, a lot of these guys that come here,
I mean, I'm not going to lie, they're not totally there.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: Some people come back, some people don't. And she's one
of the people that did it.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 11: I'm not a.
Speaker 18: Psychiatrist, psychologist, or anything like that, but, you know, from
my experience here, she didn't come back.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all I can tell you about that.
Speaker 24: And do you know about what time she showed up today?
Speaker 18: They said somewhere around, like, 2 p.m., Somewhere around there
in that time frame. And then I don't know who
the sheriff or somebody came and gave her a wellness check.
Speaker 4: I don't know. And they left.
Speaker 18: And then when the owner, my dad, Luis, showed up
with my brother, they're like, you know, what's she doing here?
And she started talking to Daniel. Then her mom called
Daniel asking if she was here. Where's your son? And
then she said, well, she's with you with my mom.
And her mom's crying in hysterical. No, she's not here.
Speaker 4: He's not here. Where the heck is he?
Speaker 7: Did they?
Speaker 24: Did they specify, like, is it a son or a daughter?
Speaker 6: It's a son.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 24: Do you know how many children she has?
Speaker 6: Two.
Speaker 24: Do we know where the other child is?
Speaker 4: As far as I know, with her mother.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: And I think that was the whole dilemma is they
can't find her other son.
Speaker 26: Gotcha.
Speaker 4: So her mom went to her apartment and saw blood
and went hysterical, and this is how this all started. Gotcha.
Speaker 24: She gets down here around 2-ish.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 24: When she first arrives, is she in a car? Is
she on foot?
Speaker 18: Well, I got here around like 5.50, and a guy
that I talked to said that he saw a black
car drop her off and then heading south.
Speaker 27: Okay.
Speaker 4: Just dropped her off at the entrance.
Speaker 24: Up by 10th Avenue?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 24: So black car. Did he give it any other details
on that car?
Speaker 4: He saw it from here that way.
Speaker 18: So, I mean, I mean, he said it looked like
kind of like a Honda sedan or like a Honda maybe.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: That's all he knew.
Speaker 6: Gotcha.
Speaker 17: So she shows up getting dropped off. Did he say
like where she went after? Did she go right to
a building or talk with anyone or?
Speaker 18: I'm not, I'm not totally sure. Like I said, I
got here at five. So maybe some of the stories
missing for me, but. As far as I know, she
was here. I think she was in the, this home,
not home, we call it the Nexo over here.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: She was in there, I guess. And I guess they
talked to her and left.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 17: And do you know how long ago it's been since she, like,
formerly lived here or was a resident here?
Speaker 4: Oh, I mean, last time she was here was probably
last fall.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 18: And she stayed here maybe, maybe a couple weeks, two
to three weeks, and then ended up leaving again.
Speaker 24: Left again.
Speaker 15: Yeah.
Speaker 24: So she's not currently a resident.
Speaker 17: She doesn't have any private space or room here, correct?
Do you know if she knows anybody really well here,
like friends, family, anything like that?
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 4: I'm sorry, hold on.
Speaker 24: No, no worries.
Speaker 11: Oyes.
Speaker 4: Rodolfo.
Speaker 9: Yes.
Speaker 1: Ira, ven.
Speaker 18: Preguntele a Robert si trae otro llave de la pilot.
Thank you. Sorry, guys. No worries. Gotta do what.
Speaker 24: You gotta do.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 17: Does she, I think where we left off was, does
she have like anybody that she's close with here or
would know from the last time she was here?
Speaker 18: I mean, we all, I mean, the guys like me
that have time here, We know her.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 18: There's a lot of new guys here. Like I said,
it's a sober kind of living home. And a lot
of these guys don't know her.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 4: Seen her for the first time. Her sponsor knows her.
I know her. My brother knows her. A couple other
guys that were here know her.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 18: But nobody close to say, oh, you know, we're family
or she's like my sister kind of thing.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 24: Is her sponsor here?
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 10: Okay.
Speaker 4: He's not here right now.
Speaker 24: Does he normally live here or is he still... primarily
living here.
Speaker 18: He's the owner of the of this this land that
land i mean basically all this land all the way
to the road gotcha okay i don't think he's here
right now though is that luis yeah.
Speaker 17: Um and then so she shows up uh i know
it sounds like you're a little late or you you
come in a few hours later uh what prompted the
call for police to show up as like unwanted.
Speaker 18: Or Because she's been problematic, I guess. And my brother just,
I don't know if my dad told him, you know,
get this girl out of here because she just kind
of caught, last time she was here, she fought with
one of the women here.
Speaker 27: Okay.
Speaker 4: She's kind of just problematic, you know.
Speaker 18: We try to help people, but there's just a certain
point where we can't help people and.
Speaker 4: You got to go.
Speaker 24: It's more disruptive than productive.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 24: Was she, do you know if she was being disruptive
today or causing any issues?
Speaker 4: That's what I mean.
Speaker 18: It was kind of just, she's just kind of quiet
and went sat in the chair and didn't talk to nobody.
Speaker 24: Okay, just based on history, didn't want anything developing.
Speaker 21: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 6: You know what chair she sat in? I'm sorry? Where
did she sit down at?
Speaker 18: She sat down in one of these chairs over here.
Speaker 4: I could show you which one she sat in. Inside
or outside? No, inside. That's where we have our meeting room.
Speaker 6: She didn't talk to anybody at all?
Speaker 18: I mean, a little chit-chat saying hi and I'm back
kind of thing, and everybody kind of just gave her
the cold shoulder because, you know.
Speaker 4: Nobody wants to deal with her anymore.
Speaker 6: Does she speak Spanish?
Speaker 4: She does.
Speaker 11: And English? And English. Okay.
Speaker 6: Was she mostly Spanish-speaking to chat?
Speaker 4: Both, a little bit of both.
Speaker 18: Yeah, this is Spanish, mostly Spanish-run program, but people come
here in English, we speak English too.
Speaker 6: Okay. Who was the one that saw her get dropped off?
Speaker 18: It was Jay Sean. It's a black guy that's in here.
Do you know what they call him? I don't think
it was something like that.
Speaker 4: I don't know.
Speaker 6: And is Daniel, your brother, also still here?
Speaker 17: Yeah.
Speaker 6: I can call him, see?
Speaker 4: You guys want to talk.
Speaker 6: To him, too?
Speaker 24: That'd be helpful, if you don't mind.
Speaker 26: Yeah.
Speaker 6: We probably need to get your info.
Speaker 12: Sure.
Speaker 6: What's your phone number?
Speaker 5: Andres.
Speaker 6: Andres.
Speaker 4: A-N-D-R-E-S.
Speaker 6: Barasa.
Speaker 4: B-A-R-A-S-A. My birthday is 1-22-87.
Speaker 6: Phone number.
Speaker 4: 279. Do you have a middle name or initial?
Speaker 6: No, middle initial.
Speaker 24: And then do you have a, is it, you said Barasa?
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 24: Is it single last name or do you have a
second last name?
Speaker 6: No, hyphen.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 6: Perfect.
Speaker 24: And brother's Daniel?
Speaker 4: Yeah, Daniel D.
Speaker 6: Daniel?
Speaker 18: Hey, we've got a couple of sheriffs here. They want
to get some info from you. If you can come
back here.
Speaker 13: Okay, I'll be in a minute.
Speaker 6: All right. Did she go anywhere on the property other
than in the meeting room there?
Speaker 4: From what I know, she got here at 2. She
could have been in there. She could have just walked
around aimlessly.
Speaker 18: Until I saw her and she went in there. I
could ask a few guys. I could ask him when
he gets here. You guys could ask him, but I
didn't see anything else from what I saw. You're really concerned.
Speaker 6: About this kid, right? Of course, yes.
Speaker 25: If she said something to anyone here about the kid
or what she was doing today, that they were important.
Speaker 4: If they did, they would.
Speaker 18: When the sheriff, the woman sheriff came out here and
she had to exit, I told them the situation and
I asked them, too, if she said anything to you
guys about anything, let me know.
Speaker 4: And they said she didn't say anything to anybody. Yeah, because,
I mean.
Speaker 18: If I knew something, why would I hold it back
from you guys, especially from a kid? I got two
little kids of my own, too, so that's.
Speaker 25: And I'm not saying you're going to appreciate that. We're
just trying to figure out who we should talk to
that might have heard something or said where she came
from or, you know, something about that.
Speaker 18: Yeah, I think Daniel might be able to help you
a tad bit more than me, so we can wait
for him.
Speaker 4: He just lives across the field.
Speaker 6: He's come over?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 4: Was it for the transfer?
Speaker 19: Yeah.
Speaker 18: There's just, there's no way that today you went from
Everett to Seattle and met Anita without contacting her somehow
and making some kind of arrangement for your son.
Speaker 21: Right.
Speaker 3: I don't know why you say there's no way that
it happened. So I don't know what else to tell you.
Speaker 5: Well, you told me you went on your Facebook and
found her phone number.
Speaker 2: Right, but then I deleted my Facebook. So I don't
know now. So that's my sister. Like, hey, where's your son?
Where's your son? I need him.
Speaker 3: She's going to fly out in four days, so I
can't wait for that to happen.
Speaker 15: From Pasadena?
Speaker 3: From Pasadena. She's flying out.
Speaker 5: Ariel is your son?
Speaker 11: Ariel?
Speaker 9: Ariel.
Speaker 5: He's my son.
Speaker 3: Ariel Garcia. He's my, he's my baby.
Speaker 2: Ariel. So I'm just, I don't know what else to
tell you guys. I don't know what else you guys
want me to say or to, you know, that's exactly
what happened. Like, We went to this other lady and
I made sure that she stayed with him.
Speaker 3: And now I'm second thinking, I'm second thinking myself because
I'm like, okay, if.
Speaker 2: My mom now is starting to talk to me, then
I should have left my youngest son with my mom
while I came to get help.
Speaker 19: Right.
Speaker 2: Well, I came to come like recover, but she didn't
answer me until barely today. And so now my son's
already with this other lady.
Speaker 7: So that's the lady you stayed with last night.
Speaker 5: This is the blood.
Speaker 2: That's the lady that I stayed with. The two, two
nights ago, but she, that's not the lady who I
left my son with. We left from there this morning.
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 5: But this is where your son fell.
Speaker 7: Was that?
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 5: And you went to the hospital.
Speaker 3: I went to the Swedish Providence.
Speaker 5: This for aerial.
Speaker 3: This for aerial.
Speaker 5: And what time did you go to the hospital?
Speaker 2: We went to the hospital at 12.
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 3: At 11 AM.
Speaker 2: We went to the hospital at 11 AM. We didn't get,
we didn't get fully checked. So then, so we, we
didn't get seen there.
Speaker 3: So we left. And then I took him over to
Anita's house.
Speaker 2: And if she's not answering or if she, if you
guys can't, like, I hope that you can find the
address and I hope that you can find that he's there.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I can't I can't find the address is the
problem so um do.
Speaker 20: You have any way to log him back into Facebook.
Speaker 3: I don't even remember my logins or my password um.
Speaker 7: Let me see cause what was the name what happened
to him he fell from.
Speaker 3: The bed yeah um.
Speaker 5: Alika.
Speaker 9: Alika.
Speaker 13: No.
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 3: Nothing else.
Speaker 20: Alika Vaughn, right? Is it Alika?
Speaker 3: Anita.
Speaker 20: Anita. Same last name, though. Vaughn.
Speaker 6: Vaughn, yeah.
Speaker 10: So.
Speaker 3: And even I hurt myself right here while I try
to pick him up.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 3: So now I'm, like, missing.
Speaker 12: Part of this.
Speaker 5: What's your last name genetically?
Speaker 3: Garcia, just like my son.
Speaker 5: Is it a hyphenated or anything?
Speaker 19: No.
Speaker 20: Were you guys both asleep when he fell out of bed?
Speaker 2: No, I was awake. I was making myself a tea.
And then as soon as I seen him, like, fall,
I'm like, oh.
Speaker 5: How do you spell Anita's last name?
Speaker 20: I'm sorry.
Speaker 3: B-O-N-N. And then I got to make him breakfast and
everything like that. But, yeah, he was falling, so.
Speaker 12: I was like, no.
Speaker 20: Did he fall straight out of bed, just right to
the floor?
Speaker 3: He was jumping, and then he fell on the ground.
Speaker 20: Oh, that makes sense.
Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 20: Then you guys had breakfast after he fell?
Speaker 13: Yeah.
Speaker 3: So he should have been fine.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 3: But.
Speaker 27: Yeah.
Speaker 11: So....
Speaker 5: Is it okay if I look at your recent pictures?
Speaker 4: Um.
Speaker 3: Actually, no.
Speaker 4: No, because.
Speaker 5: Yeah, just leave the phone right here, though. We won't
look at it, but just leave it. That's why I
asked for permission.
Speaker 3: I won't go through.
Speaker 5: You don't want me to go through?
Speaker 3: I'd rather you not.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 5: Is there somewhere else where you live?
Speaker 3: That's the only place. Now I don't know if she
took him. Now I don't know if my son is
in danger at this point.
Speaker 5: We don't either. That's why we need to try to
get to Anita's house.
Speaker 3: Right.
Speaker 7: Somehow we need to get Figure out who Anita is
and where she lives.
Speaker 5: How do I find her?
Speaker 3: Her address is right there in her phone number. That's
all I have.
Speaker 5: It's not a good address.
Speaker 3: Then I don't know anything else.
Speaker 7: What is her name on Facebook?
Speaker 3: Anita Bon.
Speaker 5: How do you spell that?
Speaker 3: Just how I spelled.
Speaker 19: It.
Speaker 7: A-N-I-T-A?
Speaker 21: A-N-I-T-A?
Speaker 2: N-I-R... A-L-I-C-A and then the last name B-O-N-N.
Speaker 5: Do you have Anita in your contacts?
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 7: So when I search A-L-I-C-A phone for people, are any
of these her?
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 7: But you said she has a Facebook. That's how you
got a hold of her.
Speaker 3: That's none.
Speaker 19: Nope.
Speaker 3: None of those.
Speaker 2: She has a Catholic background and like a rosary.
Speaker 5: Is her picture?
Speaker 26: Nope.
Speaker 7: None of those.
Speaker 5: Does her name show something else besides that?
Speaker 4: Nope.
Speaker 12: None of that.
Speaker 5: A-L-I-C-A. B-O-N-N. Who knows Anita?
Speaker 3: I don't know. No one from my family knows her.
Speaker 5: Well, you met her through church, right?
Speaker 12: No, through.
Speaker 3: Through my job.
Speaker 21: Okay, who was the manager at your job?
Speaker 5: She was a customer.
Speaker 27: Yeah.
Speaker 5: She was a customer?
Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: Did she buy anything?
Speaker 3: She would come see me every once in a while,
but no.
Speaker 5: Well, this doesn't make a lot.
Speaker 7: Of sense, right?
Speaker 5: I feel like you're almost making up stuff as you go.
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 3: That's really all that happened so I don't know what
else to tell you guys.
Speaker 5: How long ago was this that you were talking to
Anita and she will randomly show up at your job
this was like.
Speaker 2: Um a few this was like last year two years
ago last year or a few years ago two years
ago and then I messaged her I messaged her not
that long ago and then I.
Speaker 5: What was the reasoning for you messaging her Because.
Speaker 3: I wanted her to watch my kids again.
Speaker 15: But.
Speaker 3: And then I finally got a hold of her again
today and I let her.
Speaker 28: I.
Speaker 5: Let her take my kids. Well, the one, right?
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: Well, we got to keep working through it. We got
to figure out how.
Speaker 3: To find her. That's all I have. That's all I know.
Speaker 11: Um.
Speaker 7: When you were driving south today towards Seattle, do you
stop anywhere else?
Speaker 5: Just her house.
Speaker 3: Just her house.
Speaker 12: Okay.
Speaker 7: What does her house look like?
Speaker 5: What does her house look like?
Speaker 3: It's a big blue house.
Speaker 2: I don't know if it's a blue house or a
different color.
Speaker 3: Just like a regular house.
Speaker 5: How many floors?
Speaker 9: Oh, her?
Speaker 3: She lives in apartments.
Speaker 11: She does?
Speaker 5: Who lives in the blue house?
Speaker 3: In the blue house, that's probably, no, it's not a
blue house. That's like her neighbor's.
Speaker 7: Whose blue house are you describing?
Speaker 3: A different house.
Speaker 5: That belongs to who?
Speaker 2: Probably, I'm probably thinking about my parents' house, but that's
not what I'm talking about.
Speaker 21: Then why would you.
Speaker 5: Bring this up?
Speaker 3: Because it just came up.
Speaker 5: What does that have to do with Anita's house?
Speaker 3: Well, then no, that's not her house. She lives in apartments.
She lives on the second floor.
Speaker 21: I'm going to let you gather your thoughts for a second, okay?
So what you're saying is not making any sense. It's
making you look worse, you know? Less credible, right?
Speaker 13: Yes.
Speaker 5: Because what you're saying is just making zero sense.
Speaker 21: So gather your thoughts and, like, tell me something that
actually makes sense.
Speaker 3: Okay. So she lives in apartments. She doesn't live in
a blue house.
Speaker 2: And from there, that's all I know. I took them there,
and I don't know anything else.
Speaker 5: What color are the apartments?
Speaker 2: Just like regular colors. What are regular colors? Like orange, red,
I don't know, just like regular color.
Speaker 7: Tell me something that you remember about those apartments that
if I drove up to them, I would be like, yes,
those are the apartments she was talking about. Anything, you
can close your eyes, you can think about it, anything
you can remember.
Speaker 3: That's it.
Speaker 5: Did you walk up to the apartment?
Speaker 3: I drove there, and then I walked up to the
apartment place.
Speaker 5: How many staircases did you take?
Speaker 24: Just two.
Speaker 3: Just two staircases.
Speaker 5: And then you took a right or a left?
Speaker 3: A right. Or was it a left? No, a right.
Speaker 5: Okay. How long did you walk until you got to
her apartment?
Speaker 3: Not that much. I don't walk too much.
Speaker 5: How many doors did you pass?
Speaker 3: Not that many doors. I don't think any door at all.
Speaker 5: You went up the stairs and you took your first
ride and that's their apartment?
Speaker 15: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 5: What happened when you got there?
Speaker 2: So when I got there, I spoke to her. I said, hey,
this and this is going on. Like, I want to
know if you can watch my kid for me for
the next 12 months.
Speaker 5: What did you tell her? What's going on?
Speaker 2: I'm having problems with my parents. They're not letting me
back in the house. My mom, she took my son.
My son was staying with me, but she took him
out of school early, and I freaked out.
Speaker 3: And so now she has my son. She doesn't answer me.
She won't let me get my son. I call the cops.
They don't do anything. And so, which is fine. I
don't care.
Speaker 2: But then I was like, I need to go get help.
I need to get sober again. So I want to
leave my kid with you now.
Speaker 5: When's the last time you drank?
Speaker 3: Like, last weekend.
Speaker 5: Last weekend?
Speaker 19: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: So today is Wednesday.
Speaker 3: Today's Wednesday. Maybe not last.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 3: Like Thursday, maybe.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 20: What about meth?
Speaker 9: Meth?
Speaker 2: When was the last time I used? So I recently
relapsed like.
Speaker 7: Two weeks.
Speaker 3: No, not today. Like I recently relapsed like two weeks ago.
Speaker 2: So that's why I'm like, okay, I do need to
come get help because I don't ever do that.
Speaker 3: I don't ever use drugs.
Speaker 2: But that night I did use, I used meth like
just like a single whatever.
Speaker 3: I don't smoke. I don't do any of that.
Speaker 20: Were you with somebody when you did?
Speaker 7: I did.
Speaker 3: I was with someone. And it was easier for me
to do it because I was drunk, like super drunk.
Speaker 2: So I, and I was with, I was with some
friend and then, so I, I left from there and
that's when I was like, okay, I need to come
get help because I can't relapse and do everything.
Speaker 3: That I want to do.
Speaker 4: Right.
Speaker 2: So yes, I have used, um, Ever since that day,
I've been drinking tea, tea, tea, so I can, like,
so I can clean out of me, and I can, like, yeah,
and I can be okay, and I can be sober,
because I don't like to be impaired.
Speaker 3: I don't like, I want, I like to be sober. So,
but that's the best.
Speaker 7: It's been like two weeks since i used meth and
then you haven't had any alcohol since like last thursday
yeah about a week okay so i'm sorry you're there
with anita what's anita wearing she's.
Speaker 3: Just wearing regular like a regular shirt.
Speaker 2: And just pants what's a regular blue pants like um
brown shirt that's it okay T-shirt?
Speaker 3: Just a regular blouse. Like a woman blouse. Okay.
Speaker 5: Does anybody else live with her?
Speaker 7: Just herself and I think her kids.
Speaker 3: How many kids does she have? Three kids or something
like that.
Speaker 6: Three?
Speaker 5: Do you know how old they are?
Speaker 3: I didn't see them.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 5: Do you know how old they are?
Speaker 3: No. Okay.
Speaker 5: How do you know she has three kids?
Speaker 2: Because she was talking to me before, like, when she
would come to the store and, you know, this and that.
Speaker 5: But she came to your store and didn't buy anything?
Speaker 2: No, she would just come to the store and see
how I'm doing or anything with the phone, any help
that I might need with the phone.
Speaker 5: That you might need.
Speaker 3: With the phone?
Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: Why would you need help with the phone?
Speaker 3: No, that she needs help with the phone.
Speaker 2: Sometimes she needs help like, you know, with anything like
opening up different apps or just like.
Speaker 3: Doing different things.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: About how old are her kids when she would talk
about them?
Speaker 3: Or just like different. Sometimes she needs help like, you know,
with phone calls.
Speaker 29: Like, I don't know.
Speaker 3: Yeah.
Speaker 7: How, about how old are her kids when she talked
about them? Are they in school?
Speaker 3: I think they're older.
Speaker 28: They're older.
Speaker 5: Okay. And they're in her apartment with her. So did
you go in her apartment today?
Speaker 3: I went into her apartment.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 5: Tell me what it looks like in there.
Speaker 3: Just regular.
Speaker 5: Regular doesn't cut it. Tell me what it looks like.
Speaker 2: You walk in, there's a TV and then there's like, um,
there's like sofas and the rooms.
Speaker 7: So you walk in, you said TV's in front of you.
Speaker 26: Is it.
Speaker 7: Hanging on something?
Speaker 3: Is it sitting on something? It's just sitting on something.
Speaker 9: Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 5: Do you know what that looks like, what it's sitting on?
Speaker 3: Just regular TV.
Speaker 5: What does it look like when it's sitting on?
Speaker 3: Like a wood, a wooden drawer and like a TV. Okay.
Speaker 4: That's it.
Speaker 5: What about, and you said there's a couch?
Speaker 7: Mm-hmm. Is it like a big couch.
Speaker 5: Small couch?
Speaker 3: It's a big couch.
Speaker 26: How big?
Speaker 5: What does it look like?
Speaker 3: It's just like stretched out like that. It's just like
a big couch.
Speaker 5: Like an L shape you're drawing?
Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: Remember what color it was?
Speaker 7: It's a light, dark pattern.
Speaker 3: Light pink.
Speaker 7: Light pink couch. Okay.
Speaker 5: In like an L shape.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 7: What else do you remember in the apartment?
Speaker 3: And then the other, yeah. And then the other couch
is like a black couch.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 11: So.
Speaker 5: What else do you remember in the apartment? Where's the kitchen?
Speaker 3: Kitchen is to the left.
Speaker 5: So you walk in the door, your TV.
You've got two couches you described and then to the
left is the kitchen. What's the kitchen look like?
Speaker 3: Pans.
Speaker 4: That's it.
Speaker 5: Pans?
Speaker 3: Yeah. Like the stove top and then there's like pans
on top.
Speaker 12: That's it.
Speaker 5: What color is the cabinet?
Speaker 3: Regular wood. Light wood.
Speaker 5: Like a light wood cabinet. Is it a big kitchen?
A little kitchen?
Speaker 7: It's a small kitchen.
Speaker 5: Can you describe it like a.
Speaker 7: If I couldn't see and I wanted to know what
it looked like, how would you describe it?
Speaker 3: It's a small kitchen.
Speaker 2: There's, like, glass windows. And it's, there's, like, what do
you call it? I don't know what you would call it.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 3: I don't even know.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 6: But, yeah.
Speaker 5: Glass windows, like, on the cabinets?
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 7: Um, how many bedrooms are in there?
Speaker 5: Did you see?
Speaker 3: I think only two. I don't know.
Speaker 9: Two.
Speaker 7: Did you see them?
Speaker 3: No, I didn't see them.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 7: Did you see anybody else in the apartment?
Speaker 28: Two, three.
Speaker 3: I think it's three bedrooms actually.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 3: So like one, three, three bedrooms.
Speaker 5: Where are they at?
Speaker 7: Like if you're, when you walk in, if you're living
around the kitchens, where are the bedrooms?
Speaker 3: To the right.
Speaker 7: On the other side?
Speaker 8: Yeah.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Did you go in any of those?
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 6: Good.
Speaker 4: Good.
Speaker 6: Thank you.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: How long were you there?
Speaker 3: I was there for about, like, an hour, and then
I was there for only an hour.
Speaker 5: What did you guys do?
Speaker 13: Just talk.
Speaker 3: We just sat and talked.
Speaker 7: Can you tell me about what you talked about? Do
you remember talking about?
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 7: Because you don't want to tell me or because you
don't remember?
Speaker 3: Just regular things, like, you know, about.
Speaker 2: like how are you you've been using this and that
you need to go back and get help like you
need to go back and get sober and things like.
Speaker 7: That i'm um i'm i'm concerned and i'm not i'm
not judging you for using and you know i've studied
alcoholism and drug use and i i understand the effects
it has on the brain and how it's a disease
and people can't help it um i get that and
and i'm really glad that you're trying to get some
help for yourself. That's really good. I'm concerned now that
you're still, you're affected by.
Speaker 13: It right now.
Speaker 5: Cause I can tell in like your responses, um, you're
a little confused. You're kind of scattered.
Speaker 7: You're having a difficult time remembering things. Um, and that's okay.
If that's the case, it just helps if we know that.
Cause it will help us to ask you better questions
or to help. It will help, um, me understand why
you might be confused. Do you understand what I'm saying?
So have you used more recently than two weeks ago?
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: You're sober right now.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 7: I just want to make sure because like I said,
and like Detective Silverio was saying to some of your questions,
your responses aren't really making sense.
Speaker 5: Um, and you're, and you're giving.
Speaker 7: Some things that are, um, contradicting each other sometimes, um,
Because I spoke to you over at the house and
you said things a little bit differently there than you
say them here. So I just, I want to understand,
I want to find your son. And if he got
hurt and something happened to him, that's okay too. We just,
we need to find out where he's at so that
we can make sure he's safe or do whatever we
need to do to help him.
Speaker 14: Right.
Speaker 5: And I really need you to To help me so
we can get that information from you.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 7: Because I think it's there. I think you know, and
I think you're skirting around it a little bit, and
I get it.
Speaker 5: It's scary, and.
Speaker 7: You're with the police, and you're in this room and whatever,
but we just want to help at this point.
Speaker 5: We're trying to help him.
Speaker 24: Right.
Speaker 5: With whatever happened today, did anybody help you? The friend, yeah.
Speaker 7: Or did Anita help you, or is that someone that
you're just making up?
Speaker 3: No, I gave her my son, and then I said
I have to go, and that's it.
Speaker 21: How were you planning on getting back in touch with Anita?
Because you were planning on giving your son to her
for 12 months. Was she willingly accepting that?
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Why would somebody do that?
Speaker 2: She's a woman that I trust and that I believe in,
and she's a good woman at the end.
Speaker 5: Right, but if you trust her so much, why don't
you even have her contact information?
Speaker 17: I do.
Speaker 3: I do have her contact information and I have her
phone number.
Speaker 7: Have you called her today?
Speaker 3: I've called her, yes.
Speaker 5: How many times have you called her?
Speaker 3: Just one time.
Speaker 5: How long did you talk to her? Right. That's what
I'm trying to get to, right? I want to believe you,
but what you're saying is just.
Speaker 7: Not making sense.
Speaker 5: And even if you did something to her that was
kind of fucked up, that's fine.
Speaker 3: Right.
Speaker 21: We'd rather know what actually happened And you're making a
bullshit story that.
Speaker 7: Doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 5: Like, you know, we know that we don't believe that.
Speaker 3: And you know that.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 7: And we're just, hold on, we'll all just be sitting
here for hours and hours, going around in circles, when
we would like to just get this resolved more quickly.
Speaker 3: I don't know what else to say.
Speaker 11: The truth.
Speaker 5: The truth.
Speaker 3: That is the truth there's.
Speaker 2: Nothing else that I can say or that there's nothing
else that comes to mind like that's it so.
Speaker 5: Um you left your car at her.
Speaker 2: Apartment at her no I left it at the bus
station in Seattle you told me you left it at
the apartment earlier I have it on.
Speaker 5: Video I can show it to you yeah no this.
Speaker 7: Is what I mean that's just what I'm trying to
understand you said I left it at her apartment I
could show you the video from at the house.
Speaker 2: Earlier i left it in the bus station at the
bus station in seattle downtown.
Speaker 5: Downtown seattle like what's it near.
Speaker 3: Um i don't know but it's like i don't know
it's the i don't know i don't know what it's near.
Speaker 7: I'm not very familiar so i know like There's Pike's
Place in Seattle. I know there's the Seahawks Stadium in Seattle. Like,
is it near any of that?
Speaker 12: Is it?
Speaker 3: I think it's, like, near Pike Place. You think?
Speaker 4: Yes.
Speaker 5: What makes you think that?
Speaker 11: Because.
Speaker 3: Like, make me believe this. I think it's near Pike Place.
I'm not too. What makes you think that, though?
Speaker 18: Just because.
Speaker 5: Why do you say Pike's Place? Does she say Pike's Place?
Speaker 20: Or what's Pike's Place near.
Speaker 3: Downtown Seattle what else that's it by the aquarium.
Speaker 19: Or so okay um where are your keys I have
my keys can I see them yeah Okay.
Speaker 5: So you have the keys to your car.
Speaker 7: So you left it there and locked it so nobody
else can drive your car.
Speaker 5: Does anybody else have.
Speaker 3: A key to your car? I believe my mom does.
Speaker 5: Your mom has a key to your car? Can I
see your iPhone again?
Speaker 27: Or dad.
Speaker 5: She can see where she parked her car.
Speaker 19: On the maps.
Speaker 5: Yeah, is it on your maps where you parked your car?
It should be. All iPhones have that.
Speaker 20: Okay. Are you going to give me your little Lego guy?
Speaker 7: No.
Speaker 3: Yeah. I bought this one. I bought this one.
Speaker 5: So you said your mom has a set of keys
to your car?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 5: Nobody else has a set of keys to your car?
Speaker 23: No.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 7: Nobody else drives your car? Did anybody know that you
left at the bus station?
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 5: You didn't tell anybody that you left your car at
the bus station?
Speaker 11: Uh-uh.
Speaker 7: Did Anita know where you were going? She didn't know
where you were going?
Speaker 6: Today?
Speaker 15: No.
Speaker 3: I did tell her that I was going to the group.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 5: Does she know where that is?
Speaker 19: Um.
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 7: What's going on, Jeanette?
Speaker 24: How many people live out here right now?
Speaker 18: Right now we have about 20 people that are staying
here in this sober home.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 18: And I'm like a guy that... It's a 24-hour group.
So my shift is today from Wednesday to 6 p.m.
to 12 a.m.
Speaker 26: Oh, okay.
Speaker 18: And then we've got other people from 12 a.m. to
6 a.m., and so we keep it 24 hours.
Speaker 24: That's awesome.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 24: They're when people need it.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 18: So, I mean, we keep this group open, and, I mean,
we've got 20 guys right now, and it's been working
pretty good so far.
Speaker 6: And did you ask her when was the last time that.
Speaker 7: Jamie was here?
Speaker 18: About last fall, she was here. Yeah, she comes and
goes sporadically, and Her mom don't know what to do
with her anymore. So she just comes here and then
we don't want her here no more because she just
causes problems. So she's just kind of bouncing back and forth.
Speaker 4: This is Daniel.
Speaker 11: Hi, Daniel.
Speaker 7: Nice to meet.
Speaker 6: You. So are you the one they called in today?
Speaker 30: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Can you kind of walk us through what happened today
or what made you call 911?
Speaker 13: We're actually coming back from a job site.
Speaker 31: My dad called me and he told me to call
you guys because I guess she was here. I think
Janet's mom probably called him and told him the situation,
what was going on. That one of her sons was
missing and I think her mom ended up finding wherever
she was staying full of blood or something like that.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 31: So he told me to call you guys and to
let you guys know. Because I think she had filed
a report already over there. And so he told me
to call you guys and let you guys know that
she was here.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 31: Well, he didn't tell me all that part until I
got here. But yeah, so that's why I called you guys.
So I called you guys. I didn't really have.
Speaker 26: All this information.
Speaker 31: But when I got here, he told me that he
talked to Janet's mom. and that she said that, well,
she told them the whole story, I guess, that they're
looking for her son.
Speaker 11: You're talking about Luis Rodriguez?
Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah. Well, he told me, yeah, he told me.
Speaker 15: To call you guys.
Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
Speaker 13: So that's when I called you guys, and I was
just dealing with the other sheriff.
Speaker 6: When did you first see Jared?
Speaker 13: When we got here, let me check my phone real quick.
Speaker 4: You guys got here right after I did.
Speaker 13: Yeah, we got here a little bit after. We were
on our way back from the job site.
Speaker 31: I called 911 to make the report at 536, so
we got here, it was like, Yeah, I was like five.
Speaker 6: But Janet had already been here when you showed up.
Speaker 13: Yeah, she was already here.
Speaker 25: And you just got a call from Luis saying, hey,
they're looking for Janet's kid.
Speaker 31: Yeah, well, he didn't tell me that part to a guy,
but yeah, he told me to call you guys that
you guys were looking for her.
Speaker 6: For looking for Janet.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 13: And I guess she got here around four.
Speaker 6: Who saw her actually arrive here?
Speaker 4: They told me that she got here around like two.
Speaker 11: Oh, really? Yeah.
Speaker 13: I don't know. One of the guys saw her get here.
Speaker 4: You have cameras here?
Speaker 6: No, we don't.
Speaker 19: Yeah.
Speaker 17: Does Janet have any other ties to, like, this area?
Or any other reason that she would come down from, like, Snohomish?
Speaker 8: No.
Speaker 11: We know of none.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 13: Whenever she's come down here, she's only been here, too.
Speaker 4: Because she has nowhere else to go.
Speaker 13: Yeah.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 31: Yeah, but the last time we talked to, well, the
last time she was here, I don't remember the exact date.
Speaker 13: But Luis, my dad, actually.
Speaker 31: Talked to her mom and told her mom that she
needed to probably find her daughter, like, special help, like
a psychiatrist or something like that. Because her problem was
beyond just drugs and alcohol now. It was like, her
mind was there sometimes and it wasn't. So we told
her to come actually get her and find her, like,
a special help.
Speaker 13: And that's the last time we heard from her.
Speaker 17: Okay. Do you know when she was dealing with the
substance issues, what her.
Speaker 24: Like, was she on alcohol?
Speaker 29: It was alcohol.
Speaker 13: Then I know it was alcohol, crystal, and probably everything
in between.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 24: A little bit of everything?
Speaker 6: Yeah.
Speaker 24: Okay.
Speaker 17: Did you have any personal interaction with her today?
Speaker 24: Like, any conversation with her?
Speaker 4: Conversation?
Speaker 6: No. Okay.
Speaker 31: Then I saw that she didn't have any conversations with anybody.
When we got here, like, since we already know, she
just shook our hands. After that, she went back in
and started watching TV.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 17: And from what you saw, where all on the compound
did she go?
Speaker 24: Like what buildings or areas?
Speaker 13: The only place I saw her go was when she
came out of there to shake her hands and then
she went back in.
Speaker 24: Gotcha, so the meeting room or area.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 6: Did she bring anything in there or leave anything?
Speaker 15: Did she have.
Speaker 6: Anything with her bag?
Speaker 11: Did I see? No.
Speaker 4: She just had a little purse on her and a t-shirt.
Speaker 6: Did that go with her when she went with the
police here?
Speaker 4: Yeah, they took that stuff with her.
Speaker 12: Okay.
Speaker 24: And, Daniel, do you know, is she close with anyone here,
or anybody, like, in the area?
Speaker 21: No.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 17: So she just kind of comes down here to hang out,
have a place to go, and everything else is falling apart,
it sounds like?
Speaker 24: Okay.
Speaker 6: Do you know if anyone wants to talk to Janet?
I don't. Why she was here?
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 6: Are there anyone else that we should talk to that would?
Speaker 11: Did I know? No, I don't know.
Speaker 25: Like this year, have you had any conversations with Janet?
Or have you had any idea why she was here?
Speaker 13: No, like I said, when I got here, she was
already here. And I had already called you guys.
Speaker 4: I can ask these guys too. If anybody talks to her,
I can bring them out here. Sure. Let me go
in real quick.
Speaker 6: Yeah, no worries. Thank you.
Speaker 31: Yeah, because when we got here, she was already here.
But she really doesn't really interact with anybody like that here.
Because like I said, when she comes and goes, when
she comes back, there's new faces here. So she didn't
really have, like, friendship like that.
Speaker 11: Not like a good friend that she recognized you?
Speaker 13: No.
Speaker 31: Like, me, like, we recognize her because we've been in
the program already for a while. So we've seen her
come the first time, the second time, third time, all that.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay. Did you hear how she got here?
Speaker 13: Somebody said that she came walking. That she came walking here.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 6: And do you know what time she supposedly got here?
Speaker 13: Well, like I said, the guy that I talked to
said that he's seen her at 4 a.m.
Speaker 31: My brother just hit the, somebody else's little thing, too.
Speaker 6: Yeah.
Speaker 13: So, it's kind of in the air what time she
got here.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 31: But, yeah, because I realized that she didn't drive here.
I don't know what kind of car she has, but
I can realize it when I see it.
Speaker 13: But I've seen that she didn't come here in a car.
Speaker 6: What kind of car do you think it is?
Speaker 31: Like I said, I can realize it when it's here, but, like,
the actual, like, mark and stuff, I can't.
Speaker 13: I think it's a, I think it's some sort of
blue car, kind of like this one.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 13: But not this one.
Speaker 6: More of a sedan?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 21: Okay.
Speaker 23: Yeah.
Speaker 24: And you've interacted with her before, right?
Speaker 17: Like on previous, um, how was she acting today compared
to like her previous baseline today?
Speaker 13: She was calm.
Speaker 7: She was calm.
Speaker 13: She was acting like, like, like nothing, like, like honestly,
like nothing was wrong.
Speaker 26: She was calm.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 13: The same as usual.
Speaker 17: Just, you know, would she have those periods of like
calm or similar to how she was today?
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 31: The only problem like we would have with her was, um,
she would accuse people of stealing from her.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 31: And then sometimes she would, like, steal, like, petty stuff,
you know, like a lighter or a cigarette or.
Speaker 15: Something like that.
Speaker 13: But, I mean, she would have her moments.
Speaker 31: I guess it was kind of like bipolar where she
was fine, and then she would, like, want to start
a problem with somebody, and then.
Speaker 26: She'd be all gone.
Speaker 24: Not what you guys need here, right?
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 18: So they said that since they didn't know her, none
of these new guys know her, that nobody talked to her.
But when she came, she just sat on the couch,
watched TV, and then... Went and sat in there for
a little bit and then was just wandering around. And
one guy said he.
Speaker 4: Went to get some of his clothes in one of
these sheds that we have here.
Speaker 18: And she was coming from that far corner, walking this way.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 18: And she was just kind of wandering around, I guess.
Speaker 17: And do you guys remember, I think you may have
said it, do you remember what she was wearing when
you last saw her?
Speaker 18: It was just a white t-shirt and she had on
some black pants and she just had a little blue purse.
Speaker 4: That's all she had on her.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: It was kind of strange because it's super cold and
she just showed up in a t-shirt.
Speaker 24: Yeah, no jackets or anything. She wasn't like holding anything
with her.
Speaker 4: No, one of the women here gave her a sweater.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 18: That i saw when after she sat down after six
when she was sitting in there and i started a
meeting and then she left with that sweater too okay
but she didn't come with no sweater.
Speaker 17: Gotcha she showed up yeah unreasonably or probably dressed way
too cold for this so super cold especially with all
the rain yeah um Did you see anything on her clothes?
Speaker 24: Like was she, was it like orderly and clean or
was it dirty?
Speaker 18: She, she's usually like really dressed and always wearing makeup.
Like I said, she had long hair. She's always, you know,
dressing up and she just looked raggedy.
Speaker 27: Okay.
Speaker 24: You said her hair was kind of unusual cut or?
Speaker 13: Her hair was like a little bit longer than mine.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 4: Her hair used to be down to here, you know.
Speaker 24: So she's super short now.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 24: Drastically different.
Speaker 11: Drastically different.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 21: Yeah.
Speaker 24: No, you didn't see any blood or anything like obvious
on her?
Speaker 6: No, not that.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 24: And did she, maybe my.
Speaker 17: Boss already asked, but did you hear her say anything
about like her kid or where she came from?
Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 13: No, she didn't mention any of that stuff to us.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Yeah, sure.
Speaker 24: All right, so sometime between two and four we think
showed up.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 4: Yeah, I asked them and they said between two and three.
Speaker 11: Okay. Okay.
Speaker 18: I think they went to go pick up Francesca because
they locked themselves out of the pilot.
Speaker 24: You had mentioned that she sat down on a couch
in there. Would you mind showing us that or where
she was sitting?
Speaker 18: Since the woman sheriff had us empty the room, they're.
Speaker 4: All watching a movie right now.
Speaker 27: Oh, okay.
Speaker 24: I won't interrupt too long.
Speaker 6: No, you're fine.
Speaker 15: No, you're okay.
Speaker 24: What are they watching?
Speaker 11: Anything good?
Speaker 6: I don't know.
Speaker 15: I didn't taste.
Speaker 10: Anything.
Speaker 15: I don't know.
Speaker 5: Hold on.
Speaker 18: She said she sat down right there at the corner.
Speaker 4: Right in the corner.
Speaker 30: Sorry.
Speaker 4: Yeah, no. Go ahead. I just want.
Speaker 6: To take a picture.
Speaker 15: She said she sat right there.
Speaker 4: Are you saying something about Johnny?
Speaker 5: Going to mute.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 12: No lo han visto en otros lugares, aquí en la propiedad?
Speaker 18: Yeah, in the corner over here, there's a red Cadillac.
They said they saw her around there, kind of just
snooping around, I guess.
Speaker 6: Okay. She didn't go back into any rooms or anything?
Speaker 19: No.
Speaker 15: No creo. Yeah, they didn't see.
Speaker 6: Her do it.
Speaker 12: Okay.
Speaker 6: Any bathrooms?
Speaker 4: There's a bathroom over here, I'll show you.
Speaker 12: Did someone talk to Yannick when he arrived here?
Speaker 6: No.
Speaker 8: No?
Speaker 27: None of you?
Speaker 11: None?
Speaker 12: I just asked him his name.
Speaker 15: Because I don't know him.
Speaker 12: And he answered? Yes, he answered kindly. And he didn't
arrive with a child here?
Speaker 10: No.
Speaker 12: She came alone.
Speaker 15: She said she had left me with her mom. What
did she say? She said she had left me with
her mom.
Speaker 6: With her mom?
Speaker 12: Uh-huh.
Speaker 32: And that she came here to rehabilitate herself.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 32: I think that's what she said to my dad.
Speaker 7: It was on Monday here.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 15: I made the call. And she told me later when
we got here that I think my mom.
Speaker 31: So, this guy had a conversation with Janet, said Janet
told her he left.
Speaker 15: The four-year-old with mom. The what? Left the four-year-old with mom.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 20: Can I get her name?
Speaker 26: Isigny Garcia.
Speaker 6: Sydney?
Speaker 15: Yes, Sydney. Can you write for me down here?
Speaker 9: Yes.
Speaker 12: Do you have.
Speaker 5: An ID?
Speaker 9: Yes.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 12: What's your last name?
Speaker 6: Arvizo.
Speaker 12: Oh, you have a second last name?
Speaker 4: Yes.
Speaker 12: Okay.
Speaker 6: Yeah, so...¿.
Speaker 12: Qué te dijo exactamente?
Speaker 32: Me dijo que tenía 27 años y ya empezó a
contar otras cosas ahí con los demás que estábamos alrededor.
Que dejó a su hijo con su mamá y que
ella podía venir a rehabilitarse.
Speaker 12: A qué años naciste?
Speaker 15: 27 de febrero de 2002.¿ Cuánto tiempo tienes aquí? Casi
tres meses ya.¿ Tienes número de teléfono?
Speaker 12: No, no tengo teléfono.¿ Alguien más.
Ah, ya platicaste con alguien en policía?
Speaker 11: Sí. Okay.
Speaker 12: Y agarraron tu información?
Speaker 11: Sí.
Speaker 12: Okay. Y nadie más habló con Yané cuando estaba aquí?
Speaker 28: No.
Speaker 6: No.
Speaker 12: Ustedes, señores, señora, no hablaron con Yané cuando estaba aquí? No,
ni la vimos.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 12: Cuando hablaste con Yané,¿ qué tipo de ropa tenía puesta?
Speaker 15: La misma, pues cuando recién llegó.
Speaker 21: Okay.
Speaker 15: Are they still back.
Speaker 13: Here over there?
Speaker 12: You're a guy?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 12: I think they're checking out the bathroom maybe. This one?
Or is it Red Caddy?
Speaker 20: This way?
Speaker 4: Ah, that's where we are.
Speaker 12: What was.
Speaker 6: Your name?
Speaker 7: Uh, Ellie.
Speaker 19: Ellie.
Speaker 9: Yep.
Speaker 27: Nice to meet you.
Speaker 18: Hey, you guys are free to check out whatever you want,
you know?
Speaker 29: Okay.
Speaker 4: If they start coming.
Speaker 6: This is your car? No, it's one of my buddy's car.
Speaker 4: I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
Speaker 6: Is your buddy here?
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 4: No?
Speaker 20: And she wouldn't know.
Speaker 6: Him Janet wouldn't know your buddy.
Speaker 15: Do you think he knows Janet?
Speaker 4: I don't think he does, does he?
Speaker 13: I think he does, right?
Speaker 19: Yeah, he's seen her, but not.
Speaker 15: Huh?
Speaker 4: Some socks.
Speaker 9: What?
Speaker 15: Up under.
Speaker 6: If you come down here, you can see. You're up
on the boat trailer.
Speaker 26: Up under.
Speaker 6: There you go.
Speaker 5: Oh.
Speaker 27: I thought you said blood.
Speaker 4: Oh, no.
Speaker 12: I was like, well, I don't want to step on it.
Speaker 6: Socks.
Speaker 28: Do you know if she was wearing long socks earlier?
Speaker 13: Her pants were covering whatever she was wearing. I doubt
those are hers.
Speaker 27: It looks like hers?
Speaker 13: No, I doubt those are hers.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 11: Interesting.
Speaker 17: Okay.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 15: Thank you.
Speaker 24: You sure?
Speaker 26: Yeah.
Speaker 13: I doubt she came in here, but.
Speaker 26: We use this stuff too.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: Storage.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 4: Big stuff.
Speaker 14: Pots and pans.
Speaker 6: That's a good setup.
Speaker 19: Yeah.
Speaker 3: Yeah.
Speaker 17: Do you know, did she venture out past any of
these other places?
Speaker 28: Did these guys see her?
Speaker 20: I don't think so.
Speaker 31: They're saying they just kind of wandered around over here,
where we guys showed you in there.
Speaker 13: And then when I got here, she was.
Speaker 26: Just in the main room.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 4: The only other place she could have gone was down there.
There's some rabbits down there, some pigs.
Speaker 13: Okay.
Speaker 4: I mean, I could show you down there too if
you want. Oh, we'd have to go around. Yeah, maybe
if you don't mind. Yeah, sort of.
Speaker 6: No, it's fine.
Speaker 4: Control 5, King 970.
Speaker 17: Can you log Charlie George Adam 4229 and give me that.
Speaker 6: Return, please?
Speaker 18: She would always like to come down here and play
with the ravenous when she was around.
Speaker 12: She used to live here or be at the facility?
Speaker 4: She used to be here.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 22: Just stays here for a while.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 27: Does the program.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 4: Yeah, if you find anything, too, like, suspicious, I mean.
Speaker 17: Yeah, you can always call 311 or 911, depending on
what you find.
Speaker 6: Yeah. And just let them know.
Speaker 17: They can, like, get looked at, or based on, like,
premise history and see that we've been out here recently
and kind of piece it together, so.
Speaker 26: Yeah.
Speaker 12: Can you talk to anyone in there?
Speaker 6: Um, yeah. Do you know, uh... It's Jay Sean, so...
I think you can hear him.
Speaker 11: How's it going, sir?
Speaker 7: I'm Dean.
Speaker 18: Game that's me.
Speaker 17: Just kind of following up on some stuff that happened
earlier um do you know janet i don't know her
don't know her okay um did you see her earlier
today though as far as like the yeah i.
Speaker 11: Told him she got dropped off in the back.
Speaker 28: Corner okay do you remember any other details about the car.
Speaker 4: It's too far because i was down here Was it
like a.
Speaker 24: Car, truck, van?
Speaker 15: It's a car.
Speaker 11: It's a Toyota or a Honda. Okay.
Speaker 6: Do you remember two-door, four-door?
Speaker 11: It's definitely a four-door.
Speaker 6: Four-door.
Speaker 28: And then anything else specific or.
Speaker 6: Unusual about it, like tinted windows, black rims?
Speaker 11: A darker tint, but not like a super tint.
Speaker 4: Not like what I'm used to. No, that's not that hard.
Speaker 11: I'll just be honest with you.
Speaker 27: Like midnight?
Speaker 29: Midnight?
Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 20: It's legal.
Speaker 11: You can tell.
Speaker 28: Any damage to the car?
Speaker 11: No, it's probably looking for like a, I would say
between 2015 and 2012. They kind of all have like
that same kind of like body style, same kind of
paint from the factory model.
Speaker 4: Okay. Is it like a matte black or glossy?
Speaker 11: No, just like a regular.
Speaker 6: Regular.
Speaker 11: Like that.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 11: Like my Padino's car, actually.
Speaker 6: Running the bell.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 11: It was a running meal, typical. And it went that way.
Speaker 17: And you were probably too far to see if anybody
else was in the car.
Speaker 4: Well, someone was driving. Yeah. That's about it. That's all
I see.
Speaker 28: And do you remember what, did she get out of
the front, the rear?
Speaker 11: She got out of the back side of the car,
so I thought it was an Uber.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 11: So I said she got dropped off in the Uber.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 17: And then when she was walking up, did she contact you,
say anything?
Speaker 11: No, no, no.
Speaker 31: I was just like, It's out there, so I'm thinking like,
I don't know, somebody, they could be looking at metal,
they could be looking at anything.
Speaker 11: And then when I walked in here, this is between
about 2 and 4 or 1.30 and 4 p.m. if
you need a time frame. It's about that time.
Speaker 28: And then where all was she hanging out that you
saw while she was here on the property?
Speaker 11: She was here, here, and that's about it.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 12: And.
Speaker 11: The bathroom.
Speaker 4: The bathroom.
Speaker 17: Do you remember, was she talking with anybody in particular
or keeping to herself?
Speaker 11: I mean, she's... Everybody's watching the movie.
Speaker 4: Do you guys know if the bathroom's ever okay?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 4: She's in the bathroom.
Speaker 28: I don't think I peeked in there.
Speaker 24: I didn't want to get super invasive, but.
Speaker 6: She was definitely in there. Okay.
Speaker 4: Was she in there, like, an abnormally long time or
just popped in?
Speaker 11: I would give it, I would say, eight, nine minutes.
Speaker 4: That's typical time.
Speaker 9: Yeah, cool.
Speaker 28: Did she say anything to you that you remember?
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 11: I said, I thought it was a boy at first.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 11: Like a lot.
Speaker 6: Short haircut? Yeah.
Speaker 28: Sounds like, okay. Anything else unusual that you saw?
Speaker 4: Nah, just, just, you touched me to me.
Speaker 15: Ew.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 6: What makes you say that or what gave that vibe?
Speaker 11: The eyes.
Speaker 7: Eyes.
Speaker 11: The conversation, the lack of looking up.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 11: Right there, right there.
Speaker 33: When she was talking with other people, was it like
regular converse? Yeah, she's like regular converse. I don't speak Spanish.
She can speak Spanish, but she does speak English too.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 11: So she's just like a normal day.
Speaker 6: You know what I.
Speaker 4: Mean?
Speaker 17: And then you said she was in there as well
in one of the seats. Would it be okay if
we left her at the door?
Speaker 15: Come in.
Speaker 11: Thanks.
Speaker 5: That's it.
Speaker 7: Does she know where your group is? Like, how much
does she know? Does she know just the town or
the address? How well does she know where your group is?
Speaker 3: I told her I was going to Vancouver.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 7: Did you tell her how you were getting there?
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 7: So nobody knows that you left your car at that
bus station in downtown Seattle.
Speaker 6: Mm-mm.
Speaker 5: And you're the only one with keys to it.
Speaker 7: Mm-hmm. Besides maybe your mom.
Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 5: But your mom lives where?
Speaker 11: Everett.
Speaker 3: Okay. In Linwood. Okay.
Speaker 7: You said Everett and Linwood? They're close by? They're close by, right?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Yeah, we don't know. She hasn't very got up to
date in that area. They all kind of blend together
and get confused.
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 20: So your friend was down by SeaTac, right?
Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 9: Where you went?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 20: And she is a T-Mobile customer?
Speaker 9: Yes.
Speaker 20: But she would drive to Everett to come see you.
Speaker 3: No, she would go to the store whenever she wanted to.
Speaker 20: Which store?
Speaker 3: T-Mobile.
Speaker 4: Which location? In Everett.
Speaker 20: So she would drive an hour to come see you
at that Everett location?
Speaker 3: No, we met there, but she ended up moving to
a different place.
Speaker 6: Oh, I got you.
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 3: But I've only seen her a few times. And that's it.
Speaker 9: No more.
Speaker 5: So SeaTac, you're talking like by near the airport?
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 5: Because that's a little bit, that's south of Seattle.
Speaker 3: It's just in Seattle, not SeaTac. It's just somewhere in Seattle.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 5: Not SeaTac. Are you familiar with what, the town of SeaTac?
Like by the airport?
Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 7: Are you familiar with that?
Speaker 20: Bowenfield?
Speaker 7: No.
Speaker 23: Just regular Seattle.
Speaker 5: So not SeaTac. Because when he asked you SeaTac, you
said yes.
Speaker 3: Not SeaTac.
Speaker 7: So how come you said yes?
Speaker 3: Or SeaTac. The address is right there.
Speaker 19: That's it.
Speaker 6: Which one?
Speaker 5: The first one. That's a.
There's a southeast and it's in Issaquah. Which isn't too
far from there. Is that a possibility? That it's Issaquah?
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 7: Not at all.
Speaker 3: Maybe it is southeast.
Speaker 2: I don't know.
Speaker 7: Because this is a good address if I do southeast.
But not southwest.
Speaker 21: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Or is it in Mount Lake Terrace? Because Mount Lake
Terrace you had on your phone. Is that where it is?
Speaker 15: Yeah.
Speaker 3: It's not Mount Lake Terrace.
Speaker 20: Is that where your church was that we sent?
Speaker 6: Mount Lake Terrace?
Speaker 9: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 20: What's the name of your church?
Speaker 9: St.
Speaker 7: Elizabeth.
Speaker 19: St.
Speaker 15: Elizabeth.
Speaker 20: How long.
Speaker 5: Have you gone there?
Speaker 3: I go there a lot.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Do you share your location with anybody for safety reasons?
Speaker 19: No.
Speaker 5: Who's the closest person to you? In your life right now?
Speaker 3: My son.
Speaker 5: Which one?
Speaker 3: My oldest son.
Speaker 5: Okay. Besides him, who's your closest person? That's it. How
about Ariel?
Speaker 3: Ariel as well.
Speaker 7: Why are you crying?
Speaker 5: What's going on with your head?
Speaker 15: What's the movie tonight?
Speaker 32: I'm not sure what they're watching.
Speaker 5: What are they watching?
Speaker 15: Hasta Cielo. To the sky.
Speaker 11: To the sky.
Speaker 20: Oh, with the planes on it?
Speaker 15: No, it's a pretty good one. I think it's the
main thing.
Speaker 6: The plane. Can someone try to play it for me?
Speaker 7: I think it's the main thing.
Speaker 6: The plane.
Speaker 18: Again, if we find anything on our own, I mean,
if you guys got a car, call 311.
Speaker 15: Yeah, because that deal with your kid, I mean, that's
not good.
Speaker 4: I love you, man.
Speaker 7: I love you, man. I can't just walk out.
Speaker 15: I'm carrying you. I'm like that for the night.
Speaker 6: You're like, fine.
Speaker 7: Thank you guys again.
Speaker 9: Hey, Jason, would you recognize.
Speaker 20: That car if you saw it again?
Speaker 6: If you show me, yeah.
Speaker 4: If you saw a picture of it or saw it
in person?
Speaker 15: 100%.
Speaker 6: You want to take a quick ride with me and
I can show you something? I cannot leave. Okay. I'll
try to find a picture for you. But if you
find a picture, yes. I won't leave with me either.
I don't trust myself either. Don't worry about it. Let's
see if I can make this work. We can step
outside and let them watch their movie. Thank you again.
Speaker 20: You got.
Speaker 6: A great memory. You got a great memory?
Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
Speaker 6: I wish I had that. I have to remember how
to repair this with my camera.
Speaker 3: I just hope they're okay.
Speaker 15: Who's they?
Speaker 3: My kid. And? And that's it.
Speaker 5: You say they.
Speaker 3: I just hope they're okay.
Speaker 5: What do you think happened today?
Speaker 13: I don't know.
Speaker 5: Well, you know Anita more than I do. If you
could guess, what do you think happened today?
Speaker 3: I don't know.
Speaker 15: What's that?
Speaker 5: What's the last conversation you had with Ariel today?
Speaker 3: What did he say? We're going to stay here. His
mom is going to go.
Speaker 5: What did he tell you?
Speaker 3: He said okay.
Speaker 11: Was he crying?
Speaker 12: No.
Speaker 3: That was it.
Speaker 5: What did he think of Anita?
Speaker 3: He liked her.
Speaker 5: Why did he like her? Why did he say that?
Speaker 3: Because they got along good.
Speaker 11: Yeah?
Speaker 5: What kind of things were they doing?
Speaker 3: Just playing.
Speaker 20: How long has he been at your house?
Speaker 3: He's been there since this morning, so I don't know.
Speaker 20: How long were you there with him?
Speaker 3: Um, I was only there with him for an hour.
Speaker 5: What does Anita do for work?
Speaker 2: Is she, um, I don't think, she just takes care
of kids.
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Let me, um, I'm gonna let you kind of like,
just have a second, I want to, I want to
take a look at your shirt.
Speaker 5: And you're a little bit blood splattered on there.
Speaker 7: I want to take some pictures of that, okay?
Speaker 5: Same with your shoes, too.
Speaker 7: So go ahead and stand up for me.
Speaker 5: We're going to take your purse off.
Speaker 7: You can just put it right here. Go ahead and
take your sweatshirt off. Is this your sweatshirt?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 5: This is yours? This one?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: Go ahead and just take it off all the way.
Speaker 7: You can take your sleeves off when you're waking.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 20: This is what you were wearing this morning when you
were making tea?
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 7: I'm just going to do a couple photos.
Speaker 5: Is that what that is on there? Some of this
blood they got on you? And then on your shoes.
Poor little guy. He was bleeding.
Speaker 7: Can you leave your shoes too?
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Lift your arm up for me. Turn to the side.
Just stay right there. Just hold right there. Come to
the back for me.
Speaker 5: Stay right there.
Speaker 7: And then turn to the side. There you go. Lift
your arm.
Speaker 4: For me.
Speaker 20: See you later.
Speaker 7: Okay, nothing else on your hands and arms.
Speaker 5: Can you lift the bottom of your shoe? And your
other shoe?
Speaker 4: Thank you.
Speaker 5: Okay, thank you.
Speaker 3: No worries. So I don't know what now.
Speaker 7: We got to keep trying to work through this somehow.
So you said you opened your Facebook today and then
you deleted it. What is your name on your Facebook
normally before?
Speaker 3: I don't have any... I don't remember my username.
Speaker 13: I don't remember my log.
Speaker 7: I don't remember any of that. How did you get
onto it?
Speaker 2: I think like it was already open on my phone,
but I deleted it and I tried to reopen it,
but I don't remember my username, my password.
Speaker 3: I don't even remember my email on there.
Speaker 5: Why did you delete it?
Speaker 2: Because I didn't want my, because the more that older people,
the more that like past friends would, or past people would,
communicate with me the more that I feel like I
was kind of digging more deeper into like alcoholism which
I don't want any of that so that's why now
like I was like okay a fresh new start so
I deleted everything and I try to go back to
find the like to reopen my Facebook but I don't
remember my username I don't remember my logins I don't
remember my like my password or anything like that.
Speaker 7: Okay when you when you deleted it was it before
or after you dropped off your son.
Speaker 3: It was after.
Speaker 5: After you dropped him off?
Speaker 16: After.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 4: So.
Speaker 13: Yeah, after.
Speaker 7: Where were you?
Speaker 3: I was at, already leaving her house.
Speaker 7: Okay. And you're like, hey, I'm going to delete my
Facebook for you in your car or?
Speaker 3: Just, yeah. In my car, yeah.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 7: How long did it take you to get from her
house to the bus station in your car?
Speaker 3: From her house to the bus station?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 3: I think it took me like another, like 30 minutes,
maybe 40 minutes.
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Okay. Do you remember what direction you had to go?
Like if you went back.
Speaker 5: North, south, or east or west?
Speaker 3: South.
Speaker 7: Went south from her house to the bus station, and
it was about 30 minutes. Maybe this is hard to answer,
but what makes you think it was 30 minutes? Are
you just estimating?
Speaker 3: It was 30 minutes for sure.
Speaker 5: What makes you say that?
Speaker 3: Just because.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 7: Can you, um, the bus station that you went at
and you left your car, is it a large parking
lot or large? Like, like are we talking, it could
fit like a hundred cars or smaller than that. Would you,
just an estimate? I know it's hard to tell, but.
Speaker 3: Like, it's a pretty big parking lot.
Speaker 12: Okay.
Speaker 7: Is it just an open parking lot, or do you
remember if there's any trees, or plants, or... What could
you tell me again, so that if I pulled into
this bus station, I know that this is the bus
station where your car was left?
Speaker 6: Yeah.
Speaker 7: What's around it?
Speaker 11: Nothing, that's it.
Speaker 5: Well, so it's not nothing, there's gotta be.
Speaker 3: Like, different, like, buildings around it.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 5: Like, tall buildings, or... Short buildings?
Speaker 3: Short buildings.
Speaker 7: Okay, so there's a lot of businesses. Do you remember
the names of any of those businesses? You couldn't name
one business that you saw while driving to this bus
station that was close by?
Speaker 15: That's it.
Speaker 5: How did you get there?
Speaker 3: I drove there.
Speaker 5: Right, but how do you know where the bus station was?
Speaker 2: Because I drove to downtown Seattle and then... I parked
my car there, and then I got a bus ticket.
Speaker 5: How do you know how to get to downtown Seattle?
Speaker 3: Because I remembered.
Speaker 20: What kind of bus was it?
Speaker 3: Do you know what.
Speaker 20: The name of the line was?
Speaker 2: I want to say it was the Greyhound, but it's
not a Greyhound. I went to get my ticket from
the Greyhound, but it's not that one.
Speaker 5: Where did you buy your ticket?
Speaker 3: At one of those places, like the Greyhound thing.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 7: And what was your ticket for? Like, what was your destination? Like,
how much was your ticket?
Speaker 4: Richfield.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 3: That's it.
Speaker 7: So you bought it from Seattle to Richfield?
Speaker 3: Yes.
Speaker 7: How much was it?
Speaker 3: Like 30 bucks.
Speaker 7: And how did you pay?
Speaker 3: Cash.
Speaker 7: Okay. So $ 30, your ticket you got from Seattle to Richfield.
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 7: Do you have like a stub of it still or
a receipt?
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 19: Um.
Speaker 7: Was the place that you bought it near the parking
lot or did you have to drive somewhere else after.
Speaker 15: You bought your ticket?
Speaker 3: It wasn't near the parking lot.
Speaker 7: It wasn't near the parking lot?
Speaker 16: Yeah.
Speaker 7: So you got your bus ticket and then you had
to drive to the bus?
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 5: How did you pay for your ticket?
Speaker 3: Cash. Of course.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: Um.
Speaker 5: How much more cash do you have on you now?
Speaker 3: I don't have any money.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 5: Do you normally carry cash on you? Yeah, but not
right now. Where's your cash?
Speaker 3: I just have like $ 5.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 5: How much was it taken?
Speaker 9: $ 30.
Speaker 3: $ 29.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 3: This is all I have.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 3: What's this ticket all you had in there? Yeah, it's
just my address.
Speaker 19: Where I moved.
Speaker 3: But I'm here now.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 7: So my concern is that some things you're like, yes,
I can tell you this. And then it's very strange
that you deleted your Facebook and your contacts with Anita.
That's strange.
Speaker 5: That's not normal. Can you agree with that?
Speaker 3: Do you understand why it's strange?
Speaker 5: Why did you delete.
Speaker 7: Because you have a lot of contacts on here. You
have all of your calls, all of your text messages,
except with Anita.
Speaker 5: Why is that? Just because.
Speaker 7: I need something better than that. We can work through
whatever we need to work through. Really, like.
Speaker 3: That's where he's at. I have no, I have nothing
else to say. I don't know anything else.
Speaker 5: Okay. You have nothing else to say? Like you don't
want to talk to us anymore?
Speaker 3: Yeah. Like I'm done.
Speaker 2: I don't know what else to say. And you guys
are pressuring me for no reason.
Speaker 7: I'm just very worried about your son. And I want
to find him, but that's fine. If you want to, um,
it's a nine 15. We're going to turn off the
recording device.
Speaker 6: Turn my camera off too.
Speaker 12: Is it already on?
Speaker 9: I don't know.
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 6: It's a separate video, but it has not been uploaded yet. Gotcha.
Speaker 12: Do you have the app?
Speaker 6: That's what I'm trying to do.
Speaker 7: Come on.
Speaker 6: I could do a priority upload, I guess. Let me
go to my computer and maybe pull it up for you.
Speaker 20: That sounds fine.
Speaker 6: What do we need in there?
Speaker 9: Non-reliance with them again?
Speaker 15: Keep trying us.
Speaker 7: Paying for it the next day.
Speaker 11: Pay your ad for the next three days.
Speaker 3: Can't do video playback while you're recording?
Speaker 6: That's the question.
Speaker 11: He's quick, but he got a long stride.
Speaker 6: Which is better. I can only run fast in a
straight line.
Speaker 28: I know it's not the best angle.
Speaker 6: I guess we.
Speaker 26: Know we can look the make and model up.
Speaker 6: It had full stock in it.
Speaker 17: I don't think the windows were tinted, but, I mean,
with the overcast, it could have given that light off, but.
Speaker 6: It was a four-door, it looked like that. That's crazy.
Do you think that... Not the same car, or.
Speaker 26: Could be.
Speaker 6: If not, a little darker.
Speaker 25: Yeah, I don't know if what you saw there is
that similar.
Speaker 6: See, from that video, it looks more like it.
Speaker 11: When the light's not on it?
Speaker 6: Yeah.
Speaker 23: Yeah.
Speaker 6: That look similar to what you saw?
Speaker 15: It looks similar.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 4: Cool.
Speaker 11: It definitely looks similar.
Speaker 9: Cool.
Speaker 4: Right there.
Speaker 6: Thank you, Ryan. Thank you, guys. Appreciate it.
Speaker 28: Have a good night, guys.
Speaker 6: You too.
Speaker 27: What do you.
Speaker 8: Need, Sarge?
Speaker 20: We're going to wait until everybody gets here.
Speaker 24: Hold it.
Speaker 13: What did you guys do to Louis?
Speaker 9: You made a change.
Speaker 6: Weight issue.
Speaker 4: Thyroid.
Speaker 29: How have you been?
Speaker 6: Thyroid.
Speaker 26: Is Richie still in prison?
Speaker 11: No, he's still in prison.
Speaker 9: Brewing. I think the address here is... 2415 Northeast, 259th Street.
Speaker 26: Calling up on the lead of a missing four-year-old.
Speaker 9: Mom apparently went missing a couple days ago.
Speaker 26: Vehicle's now here. She is up the street at a
care facility.
Speaker 9: There was apparently some blood at a scene up in
Everett where they were last known to be. And reported
some blood or oddly colored fluid.
Speaker 26: In the car here.
Speaker 9: So we are, I'm here with Detective Hershberger and Deputy
Maskman who's sitting on the car.
Speaker 26: And we're going to begin a canvass of the area.
Speaker 9: We're going to do a hand check in the local
area to make sure we don't have a body stored anywhere.
But it's understood that the mother walked north from here
without the vehicle to the care facility where she was
last contacted.
Speaker 26: She's presently at West Precinct. So I'm going to go
on mute now. Coming off mute, the windows smashed.
Speaker 9: Deputies made entry to the truck and agency looking for.
Speaker 26: A body, potentially.
Speaker 9: And I can clearly see that the trunk is empty here.
There's broken glass on the driver and passenger seats. Some
sort of a pink bag in the back here. And
a very small stain on the center console there.
Speaker 26: It looks like it might actually be coffee. But it
does have kind of a red-brown coloration to it, like blood.
Speaker 9: Um, looks like children's clothing in the back seat, child's seat,
some sort of a Sansun bag, and a shopping bag
over there with, uh, looks like towels and, or blanket
and a water bottle. Children's toys on the floor. Remnants
of candy. Nothing else really.
Speaker 26: Exceptional about the vehicle's interior at this point.
Speaker 9: So, Detective Hershberger is presently trying to contact the occupants
of the business here and see if we can obtain
security camera footage because there is a camera that faces
towards the road here.
Speaker 26: Going back on me now.
Speaker 3: She's making so much noise. How could she not hear me?
Speaker 27: I was like, I probably shouldn't have.
Speaker 5: You want to come in?
Speaker 7: Sure. I probably shouldn't have kept it in. I'm like,
everybody come and ask me something.
Speaker 30: So I'm kind of new to the party, but there's
cameras outside.
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 14: Okay.
Speaker 3: Is there a way I can... We can't look at
them here.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 7: And I know the officer earlier called, has Kelly's number.
I can give it to you as well.
Speaker 30: Can I?
Speaker 7: And Kelly, I'll give you Kelly and Carrie's.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 7: Carrie's going to be better.
Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
Speaker 7: She can do like, she.
Speaker 10: Can screen record off her phone.
Speaker 13: Oh, okay.
Speaker 7: I don't think Kelly is good at that.
Speaker 23: Okay.
Speaker 21: Okay.
Speaker 7: And, okay, so I'll give you both. So Carrie's number.
Speaker 30: And is it Carrie with a K?
Speaker 7: C-A-R-R-I-E.
Speaker 5: C-A-R-R-I-E.
Speaker 7: Beckwith, B-E-C-K-W-I-T-H.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 7: And then her number is 9-5-7.
Speaker 4: 2-4-5-8. 2-4-5-8.
Speaker 5: And then Kelly, I know I'm pretty sure you talked.
Speaker 7: To her earlier, was 3-6-0-K-E-L-L-Y.
Speaker 19: Oh.
Speaker 7: 3-6-0-K-E-L-L-Y.
Speaker 9: 76.
Speaker 26: 1-7-6-0-K-E-L-L-Y.
Speaker 30: And I would do Carrie first because she can screen
record and send you anything.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 7: And she's going to be.
Speaker 28: Better about it.
Speaker 9: And is hers 3-6-0-2?
Speaker 4: Yes. Okay.
Speaker 7: Perfect.
Speaker 26: I'm sure.
Speaker 30: And then can they do it like from their house?
Speaker 9: Yeah.
Speaker 7: She can just pull it off from home.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 7: I don't know when they'll be in tomorrow. I know
she's working with me tomorrow night. So if you call her,
she can do it for you.
Speaker 9: Oh, perfect.
Speaker 6: He did it earlier.
Speaker 7: He got the time earlier.
Speaker 11: Oh, he did?
Speaker 4: Okay, perfect.
Speaker 30: I mean, I don't know if the other officer called,
but he found out when it was like 3.40 or
something when he pulled in.
Speaker 21: Okay, perfect.
Speaker 12: Yeah.
Speaker 3: Perfect.
Speaker 30: And then is Carrie and Kelly, are they, what's their, owners?
Speaker 26: Owners, yeah.
Speaker 7: Okay, perfect.
Speaker 20: I just want to make sure.
Speaker 26: Owners.
Speaker 7: Okay, perfect.
Speaker 30: And then what's your name?
Speaker 2: Colleen.
Speaker 12: C-O-L-L.
Speaker 26: E-E-N.
Speaker 7: C-L-L-L-E?
Speaker 6: E-E-N.
Speaker 3: Yep.
Speaker 7: And then, well, it's Doran or Macaulay.
Speaker 3: Like, I'm in the middle of changing it.
Speaker 21: Oh, okay.
Speaker 16: I feel you there.
Speaker 7: I'm still, like, pocket, but I'm first. D-O-R-A-N. But my
license is Macaulay, so I don't know.
Speaker 19: That's okay.
Speaker 4: M-A-C.
Speaker 26: M-A-C.
Speaker 6: A-U.
Speaker 9: A-U.
Speaker 26: L-A-Y. L-A-Y.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 13: What's a good phone number?
Speaker 17: Okay.
Speaker 4: 270-765.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 3: Did you witness any of that?
Speaker 7: No.
Speaker 30: But I was pretty sure when Kelly was looking him up,
I'm like, I was 99% sure it wasn't here when
I got here.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 5: And I got here at 2.30 today.
Speaker 7: So I want to say when he told the officer
it was like 3.40.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 28: I think it was 3.40 is when he saw it.
Speaker 7: And you said you got in around 2.40?
Speaker 11: 2.30.
Speaker 5: 2.30.
Speaker 7: What time did you say that they possibly saw it?
Speaker 9: 3.40. 3.40.
Speaker 7: Sorry.
Speaker 21: Okay.
Speaker 30: In my ear and it makes me i know distracted
and you guys are towing it tonight.
Speaker 3: Right yeah and it doesn't get locked up.
Speaker 30: Okay we're waiting for everett pd because that's where this
all originated from oh okay i'm assuming they're gonna want
it but yeah they're on their way here okay so
we're just waiting I was like, are you safe?
Speaker 7: And I'm like, I'm safer than I've ever been.
Speaker 3: I've got a police cruiser out front.
Speaker 7: I was like, no, I'm good.
Speaker 3: Thank you.
Speaker 5: No, that's okay.
Speaker 7: I was like, I can hear her, but I can't.
Speaker 26: Thank you.
Speaker 7: Yeah, of course.
Speaker 3: Good morning to you guys.
Speaker 30: How are we doing, Sergine?
Speaker 3: It's highly unlikely we're going to find.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 6: But still. Yes. Starting from 47th.
Speaker 27: Yeah, let's just start from 47th and work straight down.
Speaker 9: Are we going to work this side of the street?
Speaker 6: Sure.
Speaker 13: Did they say how far they want to go?
Speaker 22: I think they want to go from just from here
to halfway down the block of Vesper. Like to the
South of the apartment square.
Speaker 9: But I mean like how far that way?
Speaker 3: Like into the yard there or just the street?
Speaker 22: I say we work into the yard a little bit
just in case, you know, like people's trash cans and
stuff like that, just in case.
Speaker 27: So, straight off of this person's house. From one of
the apartments there.
Speaker 4: Yep.
Speaker 14: The only kid I saw was with a loose.
Speaker 4: Short, red-headed lady with a kitty.
Speaker 28: A little short girl.
Speaker 5: That was.
Speaker 14: Quite a while ago. It's still light out. She was
with an older, really older, skinny lady that could hardly
keep up with... Okay. No problem.
Speaker 4: Thank you.
Speaker 6: That doesn't even open.
Speaker 5: Oh, I can see it, man.
Speaker 26: It's very shallow.
Speaker 27: They want us walking through backyards.
Speaker 6: Holy, did you get all the way up to 47th down?
Speaker 11: From 47th?
Speaker 13: Well, not that side of the street.
Speaker 20: Not the north side of the street.
Speaker 9: Hello, how we doing?
Speaker 3: What's going on?
Speaker 9: We're not entirely certain.
Speaker 26: I'm recording right now.
Speaker 9: We're looking for a missing child under a really kind of.
Speaker 26: Odd, suspicious case.
Speaker 9: Do you guys work here? You just stopped here?
Speaker 26: What's going on?
Speaker 7: We just stopped here.
Speaker 4: My car's over there.
Speaker 27: We were really just kind of waiting for you guys.
Speaker 26: Is that you right there?
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 26: Okay, gotcha. You guys out on a date or something?
Speaker 27: No, we used to work together.
Speaker 3: We just met at this because he just moved into
the area.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 7: And I live, like,. 4 miles down that way.
Speaker 9: Okay, so you live down the block.
Speaker 26: Where do you live at?
Speaker 4: The Acero Apartments. That's over where the Papa Murphy's and
the Taco Bell is.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 15: Yeah, over by there.
Speaker 11: The Rosario's.
Speaker 9: Okay, cool.
Speaker 26: Is the car registered to you?
Speaker 6: Yeah.
Speaker 9: Okay, cool. Let me grab your info real quick.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 9: We probably won't need to contact you.
Speaker 26: But just so I can say that I talked to you. Yeah,
might as well.
Speaker 30: Sure.
Speaker 9: So how long have you guys been parked here?
Speaker 4: Well, my car's been in here since we've been inside.
Speaker 24: We got here around 6.30.
Speaker 21: Here?
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 26: Oh, okay.
Speaker 17: We've been here since about 6.30, 6.40, and then we
came out right before close, and then we've just been
catching up before he heads out for the night.
Speaker 9: Okay, gotcha.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 9: I'll just take your names and phone numbers.
Speaker 11: Oh, okay.
Speaker 24: I'll start with you.
Speaker 4: Oh, my name's Taryn.
Speaker 12: It's T-E-R-R-E-N.
Speaker 11: Last name is Hillstrom.
Speaker 4: Hillstrom. H-I-L-L-S-T-R-O-M.
Speaker 26: T-R-O-M. Middle initial for you? A.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 26: And your phone number?
Speaker 15: 262544.
Speaker 4: Sorry.
Speaker 9: Sorry, could I get the date of birth for you too?
Speaker 4: Yeah, 07-16-2001.
Speaker 20: Okay.
Speaker 13: Your name?
Speaker 24: Sarah Perkins with an H.
Speaker 26: Say R-A-H Perkins.
Speaker 9: Middle for you? C. P-E-R-K-I-N-S?
Speaker 30: Yes.
Speaker 17: Your date of birth?
Speaker 6: 0-2-23-1993.
Speaker 9: 23-93.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 19: 35-7938.
Speaker 11: 7938.
Speaker 15: Okay.
Speaker 19: Have you guys seen anything suspicious.
Speaker 26: In the area?
Speaker 30: No. I mean, when we came up about 640, we
were here for maybe an hour, and then we saw
one of the sheriffs come up and talk.
Speaker 3: To the lady, but... Uh-huh.
Speaker 26: What lady?
Speaker 5: I think the girl who was running the bar.
Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
Speaker 11: Gotcha.
Speaker 6: Gotcha. Okay.
Speaker 3: But I mean, that's kind of, we.
Speaker 9: Were kind of like, oh, what's going on?
Speaker 3: And then we came out here and while we were
catching up, we noticed a lot.
Speaker 12: Of activity over there.
Speaker 7: And we were like, huh, but that's pretty much all
we've seen.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 9: And that's why you've been holding your distance.
Speaker 6: Yeah, pretty much.
Speaker 13: A little bit, yeah.
Speaker 9: Okay. That makes perfect sense.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 9: You're good to get your car whenever.
Speaker 4: Okay. Okay. Sounds good.
Speaker 23: Yeah.
Speaker 9: So the guy over there looks scary, but he's fine. Yeah,
that's Taryn's car right there.
Speaker 26: It is right in the middle.
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 9: So it's right next to the car that we have
a lot of interest in at the moment.
Speaker 6: Sure.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 7: All right.
Speaker 4: Thanks, guys.
Speaker 13: Have a good night.
Speaker 26: Sorry about.
Speaker 11: That.
Speaker 4: Yep.
Speaker 3: Somebody had already called and asked about the video footage.
Speaker 30: They can pull it up and stream it from their phone,
and they streamed it earlier. I also got their phone
numbers too to call them, but the vehicle arrived around 3.40,
and it was not here at 2.40 when the lady
that's working right now got here.
Speaker 20: Gotcha.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 26: I've got to grab Taryn's plate number here.
Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
Speaker 9: I'm going to come over, check the ditch here, and
then check the dumpsters.
Speaker 13: What's that?
Speaker 5: I can start doing that if you.
Speaker 26: It's not really any very good stuff, a four-year-old.
Speaker 9: Yeah, start with the obvious and work our way out.
Look under all the things here. There's a security camera there,
but they're closed. So we've already got a request in
to these folks?
Speaker 30: Yes.
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's the owners.
Speaker 30: We just call them and they can stream it off
their phone and.
Speaker 11: So I can.
Speaker 26: Okay. Okay, cool.
Speaker 9: I guess we'll make a note to try and contact
these folks later. I went up there and came back.
Speaker 20: I already checked all that.
Speaker 9: I went up there and came back.
Speaker 7: Two block radius?
Speaker 19: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 4: So going way up there.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 12: Let's pop back up there then.
Speaker 23: Are we going in the people like backyard knocking on
doors and asking just in the common areas?
Speaker 5: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 9: Got it.
Speaker 22: Split off and check two blocks this way and sit around.
Speaker 9: Yeah, this car here belongs to this kid sitting in
the car over here.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 9: So he'll probably want to back out at some point
in time, and he's good to go.
Speaker 30: Yeah, he's good.
Speaker 9: Yeah, so if you see some nerdy-looking kid walking up
on you, it's all good.
Speaker 4: Don't let that be him.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 9: Told him don't be afraid.
Speaker 3: My name is Detective Ashley Hershberger.
Speaker 30: I'm with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Hey, I got
your number from Colleen, who's at the restaurant still. And
I know that I think someone talked to a detective
or an officer already about video footage, but I just
wanted to know. that we're here kind of looking into
things I wanted to see if I could either get
a copy of it or get a pretty good idea
of what you guys saw on there for when this
car got here.
Speaker 3: Okay No, we can get it tomorrow.
Speaker 30: I just, if I could just get kind of a
good idea of what you saw, so that way I
have something to work with tonight. So it pulled in,
a lady got out, and then she walked which direction?
Speaker 11: Sorry.
Speaker 3: Northbound on 10th.
Speaker 26: Walking.
Speaker 3: Light, did you say, or white? Light, okay, light.
Speaker 7: And jeans, shirt and jeans.
Speaker 30: By chance, could you see what kind of shirt?
Speaker 3: Like if it was a T-shirt or a sweater.
Speaker 30: Long sleeve.
Speaker 26: Okay, okay.
Speaker 9: Oh no, I'm sorry.
Speaker 30: Okay, yes.
Speaker 9: Yes.
Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
Speaker 27: Okay.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 3: Yes, no, that's totally fine.
Speaker 30: We just are looking for, we're looking for someone else
that's missing. And so we really were just wanting to
get a good idea of when she was here. So
we kind of knew where to start to look for
this other person. Anything else about, or what time, sorry,
did she pull in and leave? 340 and did she
get pull in and get right out 340 to 340
and I'm assuming you didn't see anybody else with her
or around her nope okay no kids okay okay uh
okay so 340 343 perfect okay um anything else that
you saw that you think we should know okay no
that's perfect um then we'll just probably get in touch
with you tomorrow um just see if we can get
that a copy of that from you that's perfect i

send that okay.
Speaker 7: Thank you okay okay.
Speaker 9: Bye hello it's please anybody home Hopefully somebody comes and
talks to me.
Speaker 3: Hello, it's the police.
Speaker 9: See something resembling a front door on that side?
Speaker 7: No.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 27: What's that?
Speaker 26: Oh, somebody coming?
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 9: Of course.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 5: Um, she can give me phone numbers, but she had
ice there this day.
Speaker 10: Okay.
Speaker 7: But also she can't, um, send the video.
Speaker 30: I'm so sorry to bug you again. Do you live
in the house that's right on this property?
Speaker 11: Okay. Okay.
Speaker 3: Do you, oh, you do.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 21: Okay.
Speaker 30: Do you by any chance know, um, have any con
it is your tenant.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 9: Perfect.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 30: We're going to try to make contact with them.
Speaker 3: Um, and just see if they saw anything.
Speaker 9: What's their, what's a name for them? Dave?
Speaker 14: Okay, okay, perfect.
Speaker 3: Thank you.
Speaker 30: So the owners live in Longview. These are their tenants.
They own this, but they don't live here.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 30: The ones that own the property.
Speaker 20: Hopefully somebody comes and talks to me.
Speaker 13: Yeah, Dave.
Speaker 3: That's his name. No, let me look closer, though.
Speaker 26: This cat wants out.
Speaker 30: I said this cat wants out.
Speaker 15: Is somebody coming?
Speaker 9: No.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 20: It's kind of a mess inside.
Speaker 30: Um, she can give me phone numbers, but she had
eye surgery today, so she can't see.
Speaker 3: That's the problem. So that's why she can't, um, send
the video.
Speaker 30: She just had somebody else review it, got the info
of the times, and she'll send it tomorrow.
Speaker 6: Oh, perfect.
Speaker 4: So, that's... Yeah.
Speaker 9: But, uh, Yeah, 3.40 is when it came.
Speaker 30: She sat in the car for maybe a minute, and
then by 3.43, she was walking up the road.
Speaker 26: And that's it?
Speaker 32: That's it.
Speaker 3: Nobody was with her.
Speaker 30: Nothing else. She immediately got out of the car and walked.
Speaker 26: Sure, I'm going back on you here. I've been bad
about that today. Oh, I didn't mean to power off.
Speaker 13: That's not what I meant.
Speaker 9: All right, so, I mean, that pretty much concludes the run.
Speaker 27: Good, how are you, sir? Good.
Speaker 22: Yeah, I just finished 47th to about this red Volkswagen here,
and then went over to Marble, checked that.
Speaker 27: It looks like Bennett and Anderson.
Speaker 26: Were checking the alley over there. Appreciate it.
Speaker 6: Thank you. Yeah, pleasure, sir.
Speaker 27: I checked down Meadow. I didn't see anything. It looks
like Bennett and Anderson took over that side.
Speaker 4: Okay. I did, yeah.
Speaker 9: I did that street and Castle.
Speaker 27: Okay.
Speaker 9: And then I went Silvertip all the way down.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 27: Sounds like it.
Speaker 22: Last I saw, I think Ben and I were working
down the alley just behind 47th Street Market.
Speaker 27: And those, yeah. And then, I don't know where everybody
else went. I'm assuming they considered working south?
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 20: There he is, like that.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 27: Do you know the context of this call?
Speaker 20: I read just the CAD stuff.
Speaker 27: Yeah, that's all I had, too.
Speaker 20: But that's about it.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 5: I don't know too much, you know, about it.
Speaker 11: No.
Speaker 27: Like, it kind of sounds like there was blood in
the house.
Speaker 3: Yeah.
Speaker 22: She's kind of not supposed to have a kid because
there's an order pending.
Speaker 7: Right?
Speaker 27: It's not served.
Speaker 13: I thought Swedish said that they had the kid on
the 24th or something.
Speaker 15: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Yeah.
Speaker 27: That sounds like Clark County has the mom.
Speaker 7: Right?
Speaker 27: I think they found her. Some house down there.
Speaker 26: No, I'm.
Speaker 27: Assuming not. With a drone up, yeah.
Speaker 26: That's when the call came out.
Speaker 27: The call came out at like 3.40. Or 4.30.
Speaker 22: Yeah I mean yeah I know that didn't add up
so I think are.
Speaker 27: You guys on ERT? what if I pop with you?
or are you going in your.
Speaker 23: I can pop with you because I have one of
our oh dude no problem we'll take one because I
got the spotlight and all that stuff let me just
throw my bag in the back real quick I'd.
Speaker 18: Rather not have that on the.
Speaker 22: Video yeah definitely not No, we'll take mine.
Speaker 27: Let me switch, too, for.
Speaker 24: You're getting some stuff, because it.
Speaker 27: Sounds like that's kind of leaving it, so... That might help.
Speaker 26: I'm going to throw my bag in the back.
Speaker 22: Hopefully my floorboards aren't too messy.
Speaker 27: If so, I'll blame my car partner.
Speaker 4: I appreciate it, Oleg.
Speaker 2: I went on 47th here.
Speaker 27: That was just like.
Speaker 4: It was just around the corner, wasn't it?
Speaker 26: Yeah, on Evergreen.
Speaker 13: As soon as you start going down Evergreen Way, it
should be on the right.
Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, yeah, okay.
Speaker 20: Yeah, there used to be, like, you know, people camping there.
I don't think there is anymore.
Speaker 26: We'll see.
Speaker 20: I mean, it's a big open area. There's some trees
and stuff there, too, so.
Speaker 22: Yeah, we can use a spotlight to scan it a
little bit, too.
Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 4: That'll make it a little bit easier.
Speaker 20: Yeah, yeah, I don't have that spot.
Speaker 23: Yeah not even on my durango i don't have to
take down my but it's definitely not the same.
Speaker 6: So it's.
Speaker 9: Just up here on the right yeah i think or
i mean that's the one on the left yeah yeah
it'll be on the right let's check like the bicycle
center and all that there's a bunch Yeah, we used
to have people hanging out here all the.
Speaker 26: Time.
Speaker 6: Just start over.
Speaker 28: I don't see her trekking too far out.
Speaker 3: Yeah.
Speaker 27: I mean, it's a four-year-old, right? Like, how far can
a four-year-old get, realistically, right?
Speaker 22: And like, depends too, like, do we know for sure
a four-year-old tricked out or did mom, mom drive, yeah,
did mom drive and drop her off somewhere, right?
Speaker 27: Like, so, I feel like.
Speaker 22: Too, four-year-old was just walking down Evergreen like, probably would have.
Speaker 9: Got a call about.
Speaker 22: That someone right like somebody like they were in the
backyard or went there right like that would be my
thought so i can't imagine like gonna hike that far up.
Speaker 27: Right yeah exactly right like.
Speaker 26: Probably just call it about here.
Speaker 9: You know, it's been abiding by the no trespassing sign.
Speaker 5: Everyone does it.
Speaker 6: You know? Says no trespassing.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 27: It's affordable, right? Like, there was some rules, I think.
Speaker 24: It's a good one.
Speaker 22: It's exactly how I'm feeling right now.
Speaker 27: I'm like everything. I'm just sinking a little bit.
Speaker 22: Probably I just loop around we're not going through this Yep,
let's hope not.
Speaker 27: So we'll probably have to walk up and.
Speaker 6: Can we get through there?
Speaker 9: Yeah, as soon as it became apparent that we were
not going to find a kid there.
Speaker 3: Is it too far? Hold it.
Speaker 6: I'm going to beep.
Speaker 27: Just try to think of him in like.
Can I get him in here?
Speaker 11: Yep.
Speaker 21: Alex.
Speaker 22: Dude, I have nothing other than to search these areas. Yeah,
it's pretty much it. No, Bennett just sent for me
and Oleg.
Speaker 6: To go search this area.
Speaker 12: Oh, okay.
Speaker 22: Yeah, so we just floated over here. Yeah, no, I mean,
that seems like a good conclusion. Like, there's really nothing
else at this point. Like, the only info that we
have is just to search around and look. But, I mean,
I don't even know how certain we are that this
kid is still even in the area. Because if mom left, right,
it sounds like mom's down in Clark County.
Speaker 6: So....
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 27: Sounds good.
Speaker 6: All right, bye.
Speaker 27: Should we just head back to.
Speaker 7: The incident location then?
Speaker 14: Yeah.
Speaker 5: We'll see if we get those sponsor checks in the
FBI or something.
Speaker 28: Yeah.
Speaker 22: That was Bryant, and he was just telling me he's
just checking random parts at this point.
Speaker 4: Cool.
Speaker 13: Hi man, good luck.
Speaker 27: Probably already happy because.
Speaker 7: You guys have a bunch of patrol cars out here, right?
And Scandal Road is probably, I haven't looked yet, is
already talking.
Speaker 5: About what's going.
Speaker 7: On at 4800 Westbrook, right?
Speaker 23: So maybe we can cordon off something now, which then
kind of buffers when we do something like that.
Speaker 6: Just drive around.
Speaker 7: Huh?
Speaker 27: Just drive around, though.
Speaker 6: No, you're good. You can take the call.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 20: Sorry, I was limiting the call.
Speaker 6: Still here, good.
Speaker 20: I'm just going to shut the door.
Speaker 11: Oh, okay.
Speaker 5: Okay.
Speaker 8: If you need anything, just knock on the door, okay?
Speaker 17: The problem is, it's 340 right now, and it says
scouting today.
Speaker 15: That's fine.
Speaker 19: Okay.
Speaker 20: We're gonna have to move this crew down.
Speaker 26: Control, Sam, 70 to that one, I guess. And we'll
be on route two.
Speaker 10: Control five, two boys, 23, you have a name?
Speaker 5: 23.
Speaker 10: The fall ocean nation, Ida, Ziva, Ziva, Ida.
Speaker 3: First of Joseph.
Speaker 28: State of birth.
Speaker 7: 1959.
Speaker 10: Do you have a team number?
Speaker 13: That number is.
Speaker 10: Williams, Steven, Lincoln, Warren, Noah, Tom, 3-3, Frank, Jude, Sam, Boyd.
I don't have a team number. I don't have a
team number.
Speaker 7: Hey, can't even female.
Speaker 3: Thanks.
Speaker 20: Yeah, getting down here now.
Speaker 23: The only issue now is getting a female officer to, yeah.
Speaker 10: We'll see how that goes.
Speaker 27: Did they let Nico in and take it, or no?
Speaker 6: As far as the clothes?
Speaker 4: Yeah, they should. Uh, yeah.
Speaker 5: Oh, that would be great, because I.
Speaker 7: Also need to take the clothes.
Speaker 4: Oh, well, perfect. Sounds like a deal.
Speaker 6: You guys all secure?
Speaker 11: Yes.
Speaker 20: All right.
Speaker 5: There are sites.
Speaker 6: In there.
Speaker 2: Perfect.
Speaker 6: You want me to go this way?
Speaker 4: I'll stay out of here. Hey, man, what's going on?
What's that?
Speaker 20: Uh, no, not tonight, but.
Speaker 6: She's with MCU.
Speaker 20: This chick probably will see.
Speaker 15: Garbage back seats, you know what.
Speaker 4: I'm talking about?
Speaker 3: I think they're okay.
Speaker 29: Okay, so just so you know, we have body cameras on, okay?
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 11: My partner's going to.
Speaker 4: Go to the other side.
Speaker 28: The seatbelt's a little weird.
Speaker 3: Okay.
Speaker 13: So he's just going to buckle you on that side.
Speaker 4: Yeah, no worries.
Speaker 2: I thought I was getting released.
Speaker 11: Oh, it's a little confusing.
Speaker 7: I get it.
Speaker 29: So we're from Everett, okay?
Speaker 13: Drove down here.
Speaker 29: We are kind of the taxi drivers, okay?
Speaker 3: Yeah.
Speaker 29: Uh, I am here to tell you you are under
arrest for murder one. Um, I'm not going to ask
you any questions about anything because I'm the taxi driver.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 29: If you do want to talk to somebody, I can
call the person who's in charge.
Speaker 13: That's not the taxi driver and you can talk to them.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 29: So we're going to take a drive. It's going to
be a long drive. That's why we had you go
to the bathroom beforehand.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 29: You're going to have a camera right here just so
you know what's going on.
Speaker 13: Okay? Yeah.
Speaker 11: Okay, cool.
Speaker 4: So it's going to be long.
Speaker 29: Sometimes people like to like shift sideways to let their
hands kind of just hang out in this spot here.
So you do what you need to do to get
comfortable here, okay?
Speaker 21: All right.
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 5: So it's going to be long.
Speaker 29: Sometimes people like to shift sideways to let their hands
hang out.
Speaker 20: In this spot here.
Speaker 13: So you do what you need to do to get comfortable.
Speaker 4: Okay?
Speaker 7: All right.
Speaker 6: I drew mine up.
Speaker 9: Okay.
Speaker 20: It's going to be a little bit of a drive.
I apologize.
Speaker 5: It's okay.
Speaker 3: Is there any way I can put my handcuffs in
front of.
Speaker 5: Me instead of the back?
Speaker 8: Let me, uh, our policy says we can't do that,
but let me, uh, talk to this guy when he
comes back out. It might end up just having to
have him behind you, but maybe sit, like, while you're
leaning on.
Speaker 20: Your shoulder, you know? I have found a comfortable spot.
Speaker 26: Okay.
Speaker 8: I just don't, just, I don't want your hands to
go numb, so let me just keep us posted, I guess.
Speaker 20: We're gonna hopefully get Get out of here quickly. They
said you ate a little bit ago. Do you have New.
Speaker 4: World up on your computer?
Speaker 23: Yeah.
Speaker 20: You just put.
Speaker 15: Oh, yeah.
Speaker 5: If the call is still up, I would just do.
Speaker 13: It on the call.
Speaker 11: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Otherwise, we can do whatever.
Speaker 26: There might be a transport.
Speaker 20: That might be a thing.
Speaker 26: If not, follow up.
Speaker 7: Escort?
Speaker 20: Oh, there is an escort.
Speaker 26: Sure.
Speaker 4: Big truck.
Speaker 6: Just a little curb.
Speaker 15: Sorry, Janet.
Speaker 20: I'm a little crazy here.
Speaker 26: I don't got big trucks down here, apparently.
Speaker 29: Let me know if you get too hot or anything, okay?
Speaker 13: I don't, I'm sorry.
Speaker 20: I believe they said they wrote you a check. For $ 5?
Speaker 13: Does that sound right, $ 5? So that'll be a question
for the J- Say that again, I'm sorry.
Speaker 15: Right, right, right.
Speaker 26: I got you.
Speaker 29: So that'll be a question for the jail when we
get to our jail, okay?
Speaker 27: Okay.
Speaker 13: I think so, but I don't want to promise you, okay?
Speaker 11: Okay.
Speaker 18: I love it.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 13: We've never caught, like, an orphaned pro.
Speaker 4: I do look at work, and I just want.
Speaker 15: I talked to her.
Speaker 4: She called me earlier about the orders, so I'll call
her back.
Speaker 20: Driving around, and we.
Speaker 6: Saw this really nice car.
Speaker 20: So he said he rents them out all up here. Okay,
let me call you if they got it. Ready?
Speaker 11: We got it.
Speaker 4: Okay.
Speaker 26: Thanks for checking.
Speaker 20: Yeah, it's not big.
Speaker 29: The layout's honestly a little mean.
Speaker 13: It's like in a neighborhood.
Speaker 4: Doing alright?
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 13: Probably 15 minutes or so.
Speaker 4: Before you can get there.
Speaker 29: I'm sure those cuffs aren't comfortable, huh?
Speaker 23: Yeah.
Speaker 26: Get you out of them as.
Speaker 11: Quick as we can.
Speaker 28: Hey, Everett with the female.
Speaker 7: Everett, come on in.
Speaker 6: Thank you.
Speaker 29: Jenna, we're just gonna throw our vests on and we'll
walk in, so not much longer in.
Speaker 20: Those cuffs.
Speaker 26: Okey dokey.
Speaker 13: I don't know, we'll come around the back of the
truck here.
Speaker 7: Perfect.
Speaker 4: Feel good to stretch your legs?
Speaker 6: Me too.
Speaker 13: Truck's angry at me.
Speaker 9: All right, we're gonna go right in this weird little.
Speaker 6: Okay.
Speaker 4: I'm going to leave the key right here for you.
Straight from Clark County Jail. So this is kind of
her stuff from Clark County.
Speaker 6: She's here.
Speaker 24: Janet Garcia, Murder One.
Speaker 1: The interview focuses on investigators' efforts to establish where Garcia's
son was left. Garcia is later identified at Clark County
Jail on a Murder One charge. You've been listening to
True Crime from Podcast Studios. Thanks for being here, and
we'll see you in the next one.
