Mother Stabs Her 4-Year-Old Son 41 Times Till Death , Thinks She's Going Home - Interrogation - Part TWO

After blood was found at an Everett apartment, officers worked to locate Ariel Garcia and check on his safety. Their coordination involved phone pings, an alert for the missing child, and attempts to verify Janet’s account of a fall, a hospital visit, and a caregiver in the SeaTac area. The police interview captures officers pressing for details while the search continued.

Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to your True Crime Podcast. Police in Everett, Washington,

were searching for Ariel Garcia after blood was found at

an apartment where he had been staying with his mother, Janet.

The episode follows officers' coordination and their interview with Janet

as they try to verify her account and locate the child.

Speaker 2: Uh, Kyle.

Speaker 3: Coleman.

Speaker 4: Coleman?

Speaker 3: Yep.

Speaker 5: I have to, her policy, I have to CC him

on the Everett.

Speaker 6: Okay.

Speaker 3: Hey, he's aware.

Speaker 4: He's aware?

Speaker 5: Yep. And then, uh, we're supposed to.

Request Selmish County 9-1-1, notify ICART.

And then provide them with an instant commands phone number.

Is that gonna be you?

Speaker 7: Uh.

Speaker 3: The circuitry. Phone's off or in airplane mode.

Speaker 8: Huh?

Speaker 3: The phone is off or in airplane mode.

Speaker 9: Okay.

Speaker 10: Okay.

Speaker 3: Yep. Uh, let's go for the next two hours.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 12: Uh, can you give me a notification or call whoever

relieves me to let, let us know when the pings

are reaching the end so we can extend it. All right,

let's just go. Uh, let's go for the next, uh,

I don't know.

Speaker 3: Eight hours.

Speaker 12: It's going to be Paul Stewart. He signed in as 430.

Speaker 3: Probably. Yeah, it's going to be pstewart at everettwa.gov.

Speaker 11: Yep. Yeah.

Speaker 3: And his last is s-t-e-w-a-r-t.

Speaker 7: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: Thank you. See ya.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 5: I have to put an incident summary.

Speaker 14: So I wrote, severe blood loss at scene, child missing,

mother texted roommate that.

Speaker 13: Child fell and she was taken to the hospital.

Speaker 14: Suspect later called mother and said she gave child up

for adoption. Mother has told parents that she checked into

rehab in Vancouver and turned off her phone. Local agency

states mother did not check in a facility. Police contacted

local hospitals and learned child has not.

Speaker 3: Been checked in for care.

Speaker 4: Yep.

Speaker 12: Child is in danger or something to that effect that

we believe child is in danger and in need of

immediate medical care.

Speaker 3: Do we have a photo of her?

Speaker 15: Huh?

Speaker 3: Do we have a photo of Ariel?

Speaker 5: I have a photo.

Speaker 3: I got a photo.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 5: Yeah, I got a photo of her.

Speaker 7: Ariel's a boy? Yes.

Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you said something in there about a

her in the report, in your summary.

Speaker 5: I only refer to the child as child. I say

her as in the suspect.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 3: Does that work? Yeah, as long as you're not referring

to Ariel, who is a boy, as a girl. Okay. Hey,

you called me.

Speaker 16: Okay.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 17: We're working on a plan to try to get the

scene turned over to Paul Stewart and his crew.

Speaker 18: Okay.

Speaker 13: So you don't sit out there all night.

Speaker 17: Major Crimes is going to start working the angle to

see if they can get a search warrant based upon

what we have to go look for more evidence of

an assault in the apartment and then dumpsters and.

Speaker 13: Things like that. Okay.

Speaker 17: So he's making notifications and phone calls to prosecutors to

try to figure out that angle. Uh, any updates from

you at your end?

Speaker 3: Uh, so all we've got is that, uh, we did

the exigent ping. It's through T-Mobile.

Speaker 12: Um, and T-Mobile says that the phone is either turned

off or it's in airplane mode.

Speaker 13: Uh, so that even, and I don't know, for me,

that seems odd.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 13: Uh, which adds.

Speaker 3: More to the criminal side or to the criminal side.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 12: Um, so I have talked to the prosecutor about this already.

Speaker 3: He said to go this route.

Speaker 12: If we're now thinking more of the criminal side, do

we need to get ahold of that prosecutor again?

Speaker 3: Or is Russ or whoever going to go their route?

Are they going to take over and go?

Speaker 17: I guess Russ has a prosecutor over there that he

consults with and not the phone call, but, uh, he's,

he's doing those.

Speaker 5: So, um, Hey, Mike, you're on scene, right?

Speaker 8: Yep.

Speaker 9: This is on 4807.

Speaker 3: Okay. I'm sure you guys have.

Speaker 21: Already talked about this. Any homes around with any cameras, ring, anything.

Speaker 15: Like that that you guys might be aware of or

have already checked?

Speaker 3: Nothing stands out. These are all apartments that are on

the east side of Vesper. The houses that are on.

Speaker 12: The west side of Vesper kind of face all different directions.

I'm not seeing any sort of ring or surveillance cameras,

but we'll do a good sweep while we're out here.

Speaker 13: Is there any wooded areas or other areas that we

could start... putting some resources out just.

Speaker 12: To look well it'd be on the east side of

this building that's where i think they take their trash

and everything down to the alley it's right it's on

the west side of evergreen so it backs up to

evergreen with that alley right there.

Speaker 13: Okay all right um.

Speaker 15: And you're aware uh i think uh jeff has already

told you that they we got a flock alert out of.

Speaker 3: Kent right yeah Will we get any other alerts if

that vehicle is spotted?

Speaker 17: I'm going to run it about every 15 minutes to

try to keep tabs on it. But since I'm borrowing

another agency's account, I don't want to set up a

hot list alert for every case on a Marysville account.

Speaker 13: Type of thing. The other thing I could do, I

could reach out to the Marysville, whoever their... on duty

as a CFO.

Speaker 7: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Oh yeah.

Speaker 3: Oh yeah.

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 13: Anyway.

Speaker 3: Uh, yeah.

Speaker 17: And it might be worth, uh, kind of letting them.

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 17: We'll start working on the notifications of, of letting those

guys know, especially since they all have flock down there.

Speaker 11: Okay. Great.

Speaker 12: So right now, as far as the phone's concerned, too,

I asked them for an extended ping, like a continual ping.

So I've got to, you know, until we tell them otherwise.

But I think we're going to do pings for at

least the next eight hours.

Speaker 13: Okay. And they'll announce those over May when we get them?

Speaker 12: I'm not sure if they're going to announce them or

they're going to put them in the narrative.

Speaker 3: I can clarify that.

Speaker 13: I guess it doesn't work.

Speaker 17: Some people have that cell phone tracking ordeal, but it

doesn't work if the phone's off.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 5: Mike's still there?

Speaker 19: Yep.

Speaker 5: One last thing.

Speaker 13: Did I hear that Titus talked to her.

Speaker 5: On the phone?

Speaker 3: So, yes.

Speaker 12: There was a brief conversation where she said that the

child was fine, that she was in Oregon. And I

think that was kind of the extent of it, that

she dropped the kid off somewhere in maybe Seattle or

maybe somewhere in, I think you said Mount Lake Terrace.

It was like, she's so scatterbrained, she just was throwing

out just basically lie after lie. Just saying that kids

with somebody who she doesn't know who they are, and

she's down somewhere in Oregon.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 18: Yeah, maybe we get a hold of Kent and let

him know their watch can enter, let him know we

got a hint on a plate off of one of

their cameras, and have them contact or alert their.

Speaker 5: Medical police down there.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Hey, Kevin, hang on a second.

Speaker 5: They have eyes on her down there in Vancouver.

Speaker 3: In Vancouver?

Speaker 15: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Okay, they have eyes on her down in Vancouver, apparently.

Speaker 22: Oh.

Speaker 9: No kid, though.

Speaker 3: Okay, but no kid.

Speaker 11: Uh, I don't know, Chase.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 13: Did she go to the rehab place?

Speaker 3: So is she at the rehab center?

Speaker 5: According to the info I just got, she is sitting

in the rehab center in her room.

Speaker 3: Oh, she's in her room at the rehab center. So

we have the address that's in the narrative.

Speaker 5: All right.

Speaker 3: That's the one in Richland, right? The rehab center. Hey, guys,

the rehab center. Is that the one that's in the narrative?

Speaker 9: Yes.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the one that's in the narrative.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 17: I mean, did Clark County happen to, like, look in

the car to see if there's any blood evidence or

anything like.

Speaker 5: That in the car?

Speaker 3: We don't know.

Speaker 12: We haven't gotten that far yet. So I can reach

out to them directly and start getting some questions going.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 17: I think we're kind of at a little bit of

a pause until we get a little more information, and

hopefully they can question her to try to figure out

where that kid is.

Speaker 12: Okay, why don't, do you want me to turn this

over to Doug to start looking into.

Speaker 3: Or do you want me to keep going here?

Speaker 13: Yeah, we have a missing child.

Speaker 15: Well, we'll turn it over to Paul Stewart, the crime

scene itself, and then the investigation will.

Speaker 13: Leave him with Doug in major crimes.

Speaker 12: Okay, I just want to be clear as to how

far I should go further into this. If I should

just go ahead and relinquish to Paul and Doug, or

if I need to keep doing more.

Speaker 13: Now, the only thing I ask is, can we cancel

that Amber Alert?

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 3: And we'll stop the ping, apparently, too.

Speaker 17: Yeah, if we can do those two things, and I

don't care if you have Paul Stewart do that or

if you just make a phone call or two on

the way home.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 12: I'm willing to stay however long I'm needed, so you

just let me know.

Speaker 15: If you think you have information that's necessary and you

want to stick around for another hour, cool. But if

you think that you're at a point where you can

transfer it over to those two guys, that would be

good too.

Speaker 12: All I am doing right now is being a helping hand.

I have no more information than what I've already shared.

Speaker 13: Then go ahead and work on a plan to secure.

Speaker 23: Okay.

Speaker 3: Sounds good. Yeah, we'll let you know if there's anything

in the next few.

Speaker 4: Perfect.

Speaker 9: Okay.

Speaker 3: Thank you.

Speaker 5: All right, sir.

Speaker 9: Sorry, guys.

Speaker 3: What did you have for that? Sorry, we're going to

cancel the umbrella, right?

Speaker 5: I haven't done the umbrella yet.

Speaker 20: Okay.

Speaker 5: I was about to send it, but I haven't.

Speaker 3: So who's talked to him directly down there?

Speaker 4: I have.

Speaker 24: You have.

Speaker 3: Okay, so deputy. And she's been identified as Janet Garcia.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 25: Did she know that you guys were picking up the

kids today?

Speaker 11: No.

Speaker 25: She asked about him. He's safe, right?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 25: She asked about him and who had him.

Speaker 16: She didn't want to give any information on Ariel.

Speaker 25: As far as we could tell.

Speaker 4: We just proceed. You guys have to check everything, right?

Speaker 19: Cars and everything.

Speaker 26: Yeah.

Speaker 7: It's under her name, right?

Speaker 20: Yes.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 2: It's the Nissan that she's driving, right?

Speaker 22: Yeah.

Speaker 25: Most likely.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 9: The photo is on my phone.

Speaker 5: I have it there.

Speaker 25: Is it blue, gray?

Speaker 15: Yes.

Speaker 27: Blue?

Speaker 21: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 5: Okay. It's blue or blue?

Speaker 2: It's blue.

Speaker 4: It's blue?

Speaker 9: I have it on my phone.

Speaker 3: Light or?

Speaker 9: My phone.

Speaker 25: I gave it back to.

Speaker 5: Okay. Let me pitch.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 20: That was a dream.

Speaker 7: That was a dream.

Speaker 2: That was a dream.

Speaker 4: That was a dream.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 16: You can tell mom to keep trying to call. I've

tried to call a moment. She goes straight to voicemail.

Speaker 25: Either she turn off the phone.

Speaker 3: Or she blocked it.

Speaker 5: So how did she call you back?

Speaker 16: She called on the phone, and then I picked up.

Speaker 2: Oh, your mom's phone.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Her mom's phone. She thought that she was supposed to

pick up.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 9: That one?

Speaker 28: It's that one.

Speaker 4: Okay. Is her hair still long like that?

Speaker 8: Yes.

Speaker 4: No, she shaved it. She shaved it?

Speaker 19: Yes.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: Short.

Speaker 2: It's just short hair.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 16: 234 in height, because she chopped it all off. And

then the, I don't know if we got the color

of the vehicle, but it's.

Speaker 25: Going to be confirmed like a light blue.

Speaker 5: Hello, sir. I don't know whose battery that was.

Speaker 25: I'll get it back. We came from the south, please.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 29: So Clark County is going to go.

Speaker 25: Try to see if they can locate her at this

very rural, sketchy.

Speaker 29: Rehab place?

Speaker 25: Rehab facility.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: And.

Speaker 29: Yeah, because they.

Speaker 25: Because initially they said that.

Speaker 3: She wasn't there. And then.

Speaker 25: And then.

Speaker 30: Now I think they're getting a call from the facility

saying we don't want her here anymore.

Speaker 20: Okay, so it sounds like she's there.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 29: But we don't have any police eyes on her at

the time?

Speaker 2: No.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 25: And they said it's pretty rural, so there's no... They're like,

there's no way she walked.

Speaker 2: Out, though. Do you have PC for anything?

Speaker 29: Custodial interference?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 26: Because that was the only other thing, was like, we

need to, like, I can write a warrant for custodial interference,

but I haven't done the amount of work that you have.

Speaker 29: Plus, if we need to arrest her, do we have

the ability to arrest.

Speaker 26: Her?

Speaker 2: I'm working under.

Speaker 31: Was she not allowed to hug the kid?

Speaker 16: Well, the paper was filed for, like, temporary guardianship to, like, mom, like, yesterday.

But she didn't have, like, knowledge of this. She just

knows that there's a custody battle going between her and

her mom.

Speaker 29: So grandma has filed for it.

Speaker 2: Has it been approved?

Speaker 10: Yes.

Speaker 25: It looked like it was filed and they shut it

to me. I can ask for it again.

Speaker 7: What was filed?

Speaker 16: It just looked like it's the Homage County Temporary Guardianship.

It's not even like an order.

Speaker 25: It's like a civil.

Speaker 32: It's a petition?

Speaker 25: Yeah, it looks like.

Speaker 23: Okay, so there's no.

Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no, like.

Speaker 3: Criminal order.

Speaker 29: She doesn't have any, necessarily, custody rights over Mama.

Speaker 2: I don't think so.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 2: Well, that makes things a lot more difficult.

Speaker 7: Because the civil order will usually say that.

Speaker 20: Because it's a sole guardianship, so it'll normally say, like,

it's a sole guardianship order.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 9: I think.

Speaker 25: Officer Leia, please. Hey, how's it going? Oh, she's in there?

Speaker 16: Okay, so we have eyes on her.

Speaker 25: She's watching a movie. And then you guys haven't tried

contacting her?

Speaker 3: Yeah, I think.

Speaker 25: Sure, I appreciate you doing that. Could you guys locate

her car?

Speaker 13: Our bus service just to make sure.

Speaker 16: We found a color it's going to be like a

light blue for the Nissan that would be her car.

Speaker 19: Did you say light blue?

Speaker 25: Yeah light blue almost.

Speaker 16: Gray perfect as long as you guys can keep eyes

on her I think that's fine Um, we're trying to

work things out on our end. Um, but obviously the

main concern here is the kid and the safety of

the kid.

Speaker 5: So.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 5: And we need to find the kid. I, yeah.

Speaker 22: So if you guys don't find anything, I have no

problem going up and saying, Hey, where's your kid?

Speaker 7: This is serious.

Speaker 23: You know, blah, blah, blah.

Speaker 5: Um, but I didn't want.

Speaker 13: To do that too early. And then all of a

sudden we're stuck.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 16: I will keep you posted. And, uh, Yeah, I think

as long as you guys keep eyes on her. It

was pretty rural.

Speaker 25: I'm not too worried about her, like, fleeing away or

anything like that.

Speaker 16: But if it is, you just try to keep eyes

on her, I guess, as much as we can.

Speaker 23: Okay, thank you.

Speaker 16: Yeah, I'll call you back here in about five minutes.

We're trying to see what this civil order that the

mom has in regards to, like, the custody of the kid.

I'll call back and confirm things with you.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 25: Do you have the paperwork still?

Speaker 9: She's filling it out right now.

Speaker 25: No, no, the temporary guardianship.

Speaker 23: Oh, they're here.

Speaker 5: Can you just see that?

Speaker 9: That's temporary.

Speaker 7: And from the Corp....

Speaker 2: No, these are the ones that are.

Speaker 23: Where are they, son?

Speaker 4: Don't wet them.

Speaker 3: Here they are.

Speaker 5: This is Ariel's.

Speaker 25: The piece, stay away.

Speaker 4: And we have Corte.

Speaker 29: 100 feet of these places.

Speaker 2: But you guys haven't.

Speaker 25: Served her with this paperwork, right?

Speaker 27: Yeah, they have eyes on her, but I told them

not to go up and talk to her just yet.

Speaker 25: Because we don't know what we have.

Speaker 5: Does Grandma have an approved petition?

Speaker 25: So this is a petition, but she hasn't been served

with it. It's limited guardian.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Yes.

Speaker 18: Okay.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 20: So we don't have custodial interference.

Speaker 5: Because she hasn't been served. Because she hasn't been served.

Speaker 25: It's a file death, we're not going to serve her today.

Speaker 5: And we won't have criminal mistreatment until we see the

status of the kid.

Speaker 3: Which we can't do because we don't know where the

kid is.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 25: We're basing Terry for something.

Speaker 11: Terry, yeah.

Speaker 23: Criminal mistreatment.

Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 20: Unless we call every hospital between here and Vancouver. Most

of them have records, but.

Speaker 3: I don't see.

Speaker 7: So here's the thing.

Speaker 20: I don't see how she got from here to Vancouver

in rush hour in two and a half hours.

Speaker 7: While stopping at a hospital. That's what I'm trying.

Speaker 3: To figure out.

Speaker 25: So the last known we have of her was 8

o'clock this morning.

Speaker 5: This morning.

Speaker 16: When she texted at 3 saying he fell and hit

his head.

Speaker 25: Fell and hit his head.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 7: So, but she could have texted, that could have been

5 hours after it happened.

Speaker 25: She told me and she got them off before noon

or something.

Speaker 23: At the hospital?

Speaker 25: At a friend's house.

Speaker 7: Why is the blood still red?

Speaker 28: That's what I can't figure out.

Speaker 11: Parsley.

Speaker 25: Some of it was coagulated.

Speaker 23: Coagulated.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 25: Some of it was like it was like half right

from what I could see.

Speaker 20: It wasn't very dry when I swapped it like all

of it.

Speaker 16: Was still pretty wet yeah and they said they don't

have visual of the car and I guess she told

the rehab place that uh she took the bus but

they don't have any like bus like they don't think

there's a bus.

Speaker 25: That runs out there that runs out there but they're

gonna check so you don't.

Speaker 16: Know where the car is cause they don't she just

stashed the cars that's what.

Speaker 13: I'm saying so.

Speaker 5: Okay. So.

Speaker 28: I haven't done the interview yet.

Speaker 5: I was just about to send it, but I haven't yet.

Speaker 3: So, who's talked to you about it?

Speaker 5: I have.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 16: The sergeant just called me. He said that they have

people seeing her in the room watching TV. She seems

very calm.

Speaker 3: And she's been identified as manicurist.

Speaker 25: That's what they said.

Speaker 16: They said that she told the facility people that she

took a bus down there, but from their knowledge, they

don't know if there's buses that run down there because

it's in a very rural place.

Speaker 25: No way you can walk out there, they said. But

they can't find her car.

Speaker 5: Yeah. That's a concern now.

Speaker 9: Uh, do they.

Speaker 3: They said that.

Speaker 25: I told them, as of right now, just.

Speaker 16: They're like, we have no problem detaining her or questioning her,

but we just don't want to step on her head

or toes.

Speaker 25: Uh, I told them just to keep loose eyes.

Speaker 16: And if she, like, tries to take off, then they

said we'll do our best to stop her.

Speaker 3: Uh, Yeah. So we, yeah. Do you have the name

and phone number.

Speaker 5: Of the person you talked to?

Speaker 11: Yes.

Speaker 16: I think Beck was the one that called, and then

his sergeant just called me.

Speaker 25: Yeah. His sergeant just called me, so if you want

to talk to the supervisor directly.

Speaker 12: Let me just put that number in the call, because

I think at some point we're going to start turning

this over to the night guys.

Speaker 7: Which is the name?

Speaker 32: Were you talking to him for the paintball?

Speaker 10: Who what?

Speaker 5: Which DPA are we talking about?

Speaker 9: Uh.

Speaker 19: I.

Speaker 25: Don't know if you saw, I looked at the... Okay,

hold on. We have this order, we have the petition.

Speaker 19: It's like for the limited.

Speaker 7: It's not served yet.

Speaker 25: But it's not served yet.

Speaker 3: So we don't have.

Speaker 7: We don't have.

Speaker 32: Do you have.

Speaker 16: Actually, it's the same one that he called.

Speaker 4: 0947-7351.

Speaker 25: That might just be Beck.

Speaker 7: 3-6-0-9-4-7-1.

Speaker 25: 7-3-5-1.

Speaker 20: Adam Beck.

Speaker 11: Deputy.

Speaker 3: Is that number in the... Yeah, it already is, I think.

Speaker 25: I just realized you called me from the same number.

I thought it.

Speaker 5: Was the same.

Speaker 8: 7-3-5-1.

Speaker 3: Okay, and then did somebody.

Speaker 5: Else call you or is that?

Speaker 25: That's the whole number. So it must have been him.

Speaker 8: Cool.

Speaker 25: Do you want me to just at this point just

tell him keep eyes on?

Speaker 3: Yeah, she cannot leave our site for now.

Speaker 25: Okay, if she tries to flee, we're good with detaining her?

Speaker 7: Yeah, I would say so.

Speaker 3: We have a child who's injured and we have no

idea where she's at.

Speaker 25: Hey, it's Lay again.

Speaker 16: Um, so we confirmed, uh, we confirmed the order, uh,

was not served on her.

Speaker 23: No, you're good.

Speaker 16: Uh, so I think at this point we're, we're good.

If she tries, like you guys just keeping loose eyes

on her. If she tries to like take off, I

think we're good with detaining her just because we still

have a very injured kid that's missing, um, uh, under

those grounds. Uh, So that's what we have. We're in

the middle of a shift change, so we've got a

lot of moving parts. So I apologize if I'm not

the one that talks to you next. But yeah, that's

where we're at. We're trying to work up PC and

a warrant to go into the apartment again.

Speaker 4: But that's where we are.

Speaker 16: Our major contractors are coming after us.

Speaker 25: We have an emergency ping on her phone.

Speaker 3: And then.

Speaker 16: We also have, we're working on an Amber Alert for the.

Speaker 25: Kid, just so you guys know.

Speaker 3: All right.

Speaker 25: You got any questions for me?

Speaker 16: And have you guys confirmed it's her? Like, she's got, like,

a bob cut or something, according to the family now? Like,

short hair, thin Hispanic female.

Speaker 11: You guys?

Speaker 3: The thing is canceled. The thing is canceled.

Speaker 25: But you guys have confirmed it's her, right? Oh, okay.

So they said that she's in there.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 25: You guys haven't gone in to confirm.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 7: Alright.

Speaker 25: I think we're good with that information. If the facilities

work for them, then that's.

Speaker 3: Good.

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 25: Any other questions for me?

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 25: Okay, we're still looking for the car.

Speaker 12: Hey, Peter, this is Sergeant Drake again. So apparently Clark

County does have eyes on her. They're actually out with

her down at this rehab center by Vancouver. So I

think we're good because the phone's apparently not sending a signal.

Speaker 3: We just stopped the ping.

Speaker 12: Yeah, if something changes, we'll have to, you know, start

that whole thing back up again. But it sounds to

me like we're at, like, 100% that's her.

Speaker 11: Okay, thanks.

Speaker 3: All right, bye.

Speaker 33: All right, ping's been canceled. The ping is canceled. So

we're going to have to do a missing endangered then

for the child. That sucks we don't have a car now,

and we don't have a person who she may be with.

Speaker 5: Well, the concerning thing is.

Speaker 25: Okay.

Speaker 3: We're still looking for the car.

Speaker 28: Yeah.

Speaker 10: Okay.

Speaker 11: Appreciate it.

Speaker 12: So they haven't... Hey, this is Sergeant Drake with Ever PD. Hey,

so just want to verify with you guys, you have

100% positive ID on Janet Garcia?

Speaker 31: Yeah.

Speaker 3: I need eyes on her. I need her identified, 100%.

Speaker 12: Yeah, she's not free to go until we can figure

out where this child is. We have a missing, endangered

six-year-old right now who's likely injured severely and a missing car, apparently. Um,

if you guys are okay with having her there in

a room or something where you can keep eyes on her,

if she's, she's there on her own, right?

Speaker 3: She walked in and she's there as a patient or whatever.

Speaker 14: Okay.

Speaker 12: If we can get her ID and just keep eyes

on her, she's not free to go.

Speaker 3: So she walks in there voluntarily.

Speaker 12: She's not going to be leaving voluntarily until we figure

out where her child is. So, yeah, we need to

detain her if she's wanting to leave. But if she's

just there, then if somebody can just babysit with her.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 12: Yeah, and just ask her about her car, where her

car is, how she got to the facility, and then

where Ariel is, if she's willing to talk about it.

And then we're with a detective up here right now

trying to kind of coordinate things on our end up here.

Speaker 3: So we'll have somebody get back in touch with you

here shortly. to give you more.

Speaker 12: But, yeah, could you just give me a call back

when you get 100% confirmation on her?

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: Thank you. All right, bye. So we don't have 100%

on her yet.

Speaker 23: Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3: Yeah, I just figured that out.

Speaker 5: You were just talking to Debbie earlier.

Speaker 3: I'm ready to go home.

Speaker 23: We need them to go in there and fucking confirm it.

Speaker 7: Exactly.

Speaker 12: I don't know why they wouldn't fucking do that.

Speaker 3: All right.

Speaker 11: So.

Speaker 23: It's all yours.

Speaker 3: I'm out of here. It's a nightmare.

Speaker 2: So.

Speaker 12: Clark County is down there at the facility. They have

it surrounded. They're not letting anybody go and all that.

But they haven't gone in to identify her yet. So

I just ask the sergeant to send somebody or two

people and whatever in there to talk to her, identify

her as Janet Garcia. And then if they want to

strike up a conversation, hey, how's.

Speaker 11: It going here?

Speaker 3: Where's your car? Hey, how about that little kid? Then, see,

but he's going to call me back once I have

100% confirmation on her. Oh, I guess it's called... I

have the Amber Alert ready to send off. The Amber Alert.

Speaker 5: It's been like, oh, we have her, we don't have her,

we have her, we don't have her.

Speaker 7: I talked to Chuck.

Speaker 2: I have her all ready to go.

Speaker 20: My thing is Seattle.

Speaker 5: If you get there and.

Speaker 12: You don't hear from us, I say just do it.

Speaker 5: Our role is not to get involved with the actual investigation.

Speaker 7: You guys never have this role.

Speaker 20: What if we send it off, though, and the person

that is watching... The apartment's locked down, right?

Speaker 3: She's not going anywhere.

Speaker 7: Oh, shit.

Speaker 20: You guys are doing a good job so far.

Speaker 12: So the question that they have, which I don't know

how to answer at this point, is what do they

do with us?

Speaker 2: So I was asking if there's any PCM at this point.

Speaker 14: If you read the policy, we have to have a suspect,

outstanding suspect and outstanding endangered child.

Speaker 5: All we have is the endangered child right now. We

don't have a suspect.

Speaker 7: Or false misleading.

Speaker 5: Oh, we might have to suspect at the facility.

Speaker 3: I mean, what did she do to her?

Speaker 33: Well, by the time we get there.

Speaker 3: Well, the child's... Well, no.

Speaker 12: The child's injured, though, under her care. And she's... Unless

she can give us a hospital where the child is

right now, we can go confirm it.

Speaker 3: We have a.

Speaker 5: She said that, right?

Speaker 7: She said that.

Speaker 32: She took a kid to Swedish.

Speaker 3: Right, but we confirmed the child has not been there

since the 24th.

Speaker 11: To.

Speaker 3: I don't even.

Speaker 32: Know why you're... One Swedish, right?

Speaker 19: Oh!

Speaker 26: We don't know if they chucked, like, every Swedish around, right?

Speaker 5: So, I mean, it's terrible.

Speaker 23: I hate it, right?

Speaker 26: I was talking to Adam about it, and I was like,

take care of it.

Speaker 20: If you drug paraphernalia on her, take her on that, right?

But that's the kind of development. I'm going to call

Kellstrup right now, because I was just talking to Crawford

about it, too. Because apparently, admin is pushing.

Speaker 5: For us to write a warrant and get inside.

Speaker 20: And I was like, search for what?

Speaker 11: Like, ants.

Speaker 20: Also, like, it's locked down.

Speaker 11: Nothing is disciplined. Right.

Speaker 20: And I'm here for, uh, for any shit I can

get involved.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 23: I'm gonna call Kelstrup and talk to him a little

bit about it, so.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 20: Do you, uh, do you have his phone number, actually?

Speaker 3: Kelstrup's?

Speaker 18: Yeah.

Speaker 20: I don't know.

Speaker 7: Do we have the homicide phone, or what is it?

Speaker 4: I called the 328 number.

Speaker 19: Um.

Speaker 12: All I'm gonna be hearing is that one.

Speaker 7: Where'd you.

Speaker 4: Guys get that here?

Speaker 9: It's like, they come by.

Speaker 4: 0656.

Speaker 3: Because you.

Speaker 2: Guys have been doing it all day.

Speaker 5: That's what day.

Speaker 23: Shift does.

Speaker 12: They don't work.

Speaker 3: I know. So, while you guys get out of here,

I think I know everything that's going on. Okay. You're

still in contact with the Clark County guy?

Speaker 12: Yeah, so once he calls me back, you want me

to just call him and say I call you?

Speaker 3: Yeah, any updates? I mean, they're supposed to go into

the Sylvan identifier, so they shouldn't take that away.

Speaker 11: No.

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 31: Uh, I told them to go, I told him, so you,

you can head to the cell person too, is if he,

by the time you guys get there, if we haven't

heard anything about, if it's not mom, uh, then we

have a sense of.

Speaker 5: It yourself and some child plans will do it.

Speaker 7: The Amber Alert at that point.

Speaker 23: I have one after.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 3: But we don't have a car. And we don't have

an adult with it. Doesn't she have a car? Well,

she does.

Speaker 12: Well, yeah, we have an outstanding car. So you're saying

that the gal that's in the facility is not her.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 3: We are coming back to Scarlet.

Speaker 2: Great.

Speaker 5: What type of report am I writing right now?

Speaker 3: Civil.

Speaker 5: Is there an informational tag?

Speaker 11: Disturbance.

Speaker 23: Suspicious?

Speaker 5: That's it?

Speaker 3: I mean, it is suspicious right now. Four-year-old loses like

a quarter of his fucking head.

Speaker 12: What I would do is just get everybody entered into

the report, and we'll figure out titles later.

Speaker 3: I'm going to tell Mason we're all bouncing.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Good dog.

Speaker 23: I'm going to be here for a while because I've

got to.

Speaker 2: Finish the sports.

Speaker 3: That's right. You sure you don't want to work?

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 23: Hi, how are you?

Speaker 19: Good.

Speaker 4: Are we allowed to get in our apartments?

Speaker 7: In your apartments, yeah, not this one.

Speaker 19: Can you record?

Speaker 23: Can you record, please?

Speaker 4: Washington, Charles Edward May, 5402. And the lady in the back?

Let me show that.

Speaker 7: For Detective Doug here.

Speaker 24: Yeah.

Speaker 7: True that.

Speaker 11: What kind of report am I writing? Is this a circumstance?

Speaker 5: Huh?

Speaker 11: I'm so emotional.

Speaker 4: Medical?

Speaker 5: Did you say CPS? Did you say.

Speaker 7: CPS?

Speaker 2: What is he for?

Speaker 5: I don't know.

Speaker 25: He showed up with the flashlight, knelt down, the cement,

looked at the flashlight and said.

Speaker 23: I'm not here to step on anybody's toes.

Speaker 25: But we're coming out for this.

Speaker 3: You know.

Speaker 16: There's this theory in the military where if you walk

around with a clipboard and you just look busy.

Speaker 5: Like no one's watching you, no one's asking you anything.

Speaker 2: Do you guys have the statements?

Speaker 25: You guys gave it back already?

Speaker 5: Yeah, it's almost done.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 25: Wait for me back.

Speaker 16: Has she called you guys at all?

Speaker 5: No?

Speaker 15: Nothing?

Speaker 14: No.

Speaker 16: So the facility called and said she was at the

rehab place. So they have deputies going out there and

trying to ID her for.

Speaker 5: Sure that she's in there.

Speaker 25: The rehab place said there's no kid. And according to

the rehab place, she took a bus.

Speaker 13: Something that we can tell.

Speaker 25: That we can see. This is all information from down there, right?

Speaker 4: So you're.

Speaker 25: Just going to read the statement of perjury there. Once

you've read it, check I have read. It's just saying

everything in here is the truth as far as you

know it. So check the I have read box.

Speaker 3: Like to the left a bit?

Speaker 11: That one? Yeah.

Speaker 16: And then you're going to put your initials in those

parentheses there.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 25: Above that, there's like a space for a number of pages.

Speaker 30: Just put one page. And then you sign decorant. And

then just below that, Everett and then date.

Speaker 25: I'm going to back your car up.

Speaker 8: Is that okay?

Speaker 5: Is this your car?

Speaker 25: Yeah, I'm about to take off.

Speaker 13: Oh, okay.

Speaker 25: It doesn't work that fast. We swabbed it, but it

needs to go to, like, a lab.

Speaker 12: Thank you.

Speaker 26: Do you.

Speaker 16: Guys have any questions for me? I'm heading out, but

you are in capable hands. We're changing over shifts, and

then the detective's still here, okay? So if you have

any questions, you can probably ask the detective.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 25: Okay, good luck, okay?

Speaker 4: All right.

Speaker 3: Did Titus already leave?

Speaker 5: I think this might be his.

Speaker 3: Where's Piscoli from?

Speaker 2: And I don't know that there's any necessarily.

Speaker 29: I asked.

Speaker 2: The officers if there was any evidence inside that.

Speaker 29: Would help them find Ariel quicker, and they can't lift down.

Speaker 4: Points on them.

Speaker 29: So I don't see that.

Speaker 13: And then the other question.

Speaker 19: Is this safe?

Speaker 25: Is this safe?

Speaker 4: Did Titus come here?

Speaker 7: No, Titus is back there somewhere.

Speaker 3: He's back there somewhere.

Speaker 5: Mason, I'll take over in just a minute.

Speaker 3: We're going to work this as far as we can.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 12: Are you heading back to the station?

Speaker 3: Are you just going to go home? Okay. Do you

need anything from me on this one?

Speaker 4: That's right.

Speaker 5: I'm just checking it all right.

Speaker 3: If I looked like I was doing it, but you

or anything doing this? No, I'm good.

Speaker 12: That's when communication breaks down.

Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of moving parts. Okay. Yeah, especially with

little kids. That's the one that gets me.

Speaker 15: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Are you back in the morning?

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 34: Okay.

Speaker 8: See you later.

Speaker 3: Yeah, the bomb down the road.

Speaker 20: Do you.

Speaker 3: Want me to take the statements to him?

Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're heading that way. Do you.

Speaker 3: Want to just sign off on them real quick? If

you write another.

So the phone number up there is... Oh, that's... That's

something different?

Speaker 28: Okay.

Speaker 3: Is this it?

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 3: Who's got the other one?

Speaker 4: Okay, great.

Speaker 26: So, the questions that we've had essentially are one....

Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll be on there.

Speaker 3: See ya.

Speaker 33: See ya.

Speaker 5: Hey, Sergeant Beck with the Sheriff's Office.

Speaker 32: Hey, before I talk to you, do you have any knives, weapons,

anything like that on you?

Speaker 35: No.

Speaker 20: Okay.

Speaker 32: Do you mind if we just pat it down real quick?

Speaker 14: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Nothing on you?

Speaker 8: No. Okay.

Speaker 22: Could you guys give us some privacy?

Speaker 10: Hey.

Speaker 4: I'm Daniel.

Speaker 23: Oh, yeah, Daniel.

Speaker 4: Was I talking to you? Yeah.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 3: Thank you.

Speaker 5: I appreciate your help.

Speaker 3: Yeah, no problem.

Speaker 7: We'll catch up back up with you in just a minute.

We'll just give her a few minutes with this.

Speaker 5: Yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 23: Okay, thank you.

Speaker 32: So do you know why we're here?

Speaker 4: Are you okay if I open the zipper?

Speaker 9: No, why?

Speaker 2: Why are you guys here?

Speaker 32: What's going on today?

Speaker 4: Can I open the zipper?

Speaker 32: What's going on today with you? And, like, sounds like

the cops have been talking to you already.

Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 27: So, my, um.

Speaker 4: So, I.

Speaker 32: You got something.

Speaker 20: Blood drops on your shoes.

Speaker 36: Yeah so my son fell this morning earlier oh no

yeah so but i was able to take him to

the doctors and everything was okay i took him to

with another lady so she can watch him for me

because i was i wasn't staying at home i had

problems going on with my parents and they didn't let

me in the house so i um i was staying

at with another lady she was super sweet that's where

my son fell and then but we left so i

was like okay you know um so i went to

another lady's house and i told her if she could

watch him for me i wanted to come get you

know i wanted to fully recover i'm an alcoholic so

um i was like if you can watch him for

me for 12 months that'd be amazing because i'm not

talking to my mom and she's the one that has

like just like a notarized paper saying that she has

legal custody of them but i have legal custody of

them she's not letting me see.

Speaker 4: My older son so That would be really hard.

Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm a little bit upset about that one.

Speaker 36: So I'm here now and everything's okay.

Speaker 9: So I don't know what else.

Speaker 4: Well, we obviously, we just, we want to make sure

that he's safe and know where he is. Who's the

friend that you left with? I left him with another lady.

I don't have her information. Well, that's not going to

cut it. We got to figure out where he's at.

Where can you like come to the location where somebody

could go and check on him and make sure he's okay?

Speaker 9: In Seattle. Like SeaTac area.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 8: Seattle.

Speaker 4: More specific?

Speaker 9: I don't have an address.

Speaker 8: No.

Speaker 4: Who's the friend? How do you know the person? How

did you pick the person?

Speaker 9: She's a longtime friend that I know.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: What's her name?

Speaker 9: Alika. That's all I know. Alika Bone.

Speaker 4: Alika Bone?

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: And you've known her?

Speaker 3: I don't remember her or anything.

Speaker 14: Okay.

Speaker 4: But you've known her for a long time? So how

did you reach out to her?

Speaker 36: So I reached out to her because I needed help.

Speaker 4: How did you reach out to her?

Speaker 5: Um.

Speaker 9: I found her number on my old Facebook, but I

no longer have.

Speaker 20: A Facebook anymore.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 7: Is this something you can sign back into?

Speaker 19: No.

Speaker 29: No?

Speaker 7: You just deleted it all together?

Speaker 4: I delete it all the time.

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 4: You found it today on your old Facebook? And her

name is Alika?

Speaker 9: Alika Bone.

Speaker 4: Alika Bone? Like B-O-N-E? Mm-hmm.

Speaker 25: Okay.

Speaker 4: And she lives in the SeaTac area. Mm-hmm. So you

drove him from the first house you were at to

her house? Or the doctor first?

Speaker 19: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 4: What doctor did you take him to?

Speaker 3: Swedish.

Speaker 4: Swedish.

Speaker 9: Swedish, and that's it.

Speaker 7: Swedish where?

Speaker 9: I think it's Providence, actually.

Speaker 4: In Everett.

Speaker 5: In Everett?

Speaker 4: Providence? You understand we just need to make sure that

he's okay, and then we can just do that, and

then we can leave you be, you know?

Speaker 9: Yeah, sure.

Speaker 4: So how do we find Alita? I don't know. Can

you describe to me how you got there from Providence?

Speaker 9: So I just drove from there to.

Speaker 4: Seattle, and then the place You drove from Providence to Seattle?

To Alika's house?

Speaker 13: Yes.

Speaker 9: Okay.

Speaker 4: Did you drive on the freeway? Mm-hmm. Okay.

Speaker 9: How long did it take you? Like two hours.

Speaker 3: Two hours.

Speaker 4: And what car were you driving?

Speaker 9: My car. So just like one hour or so.

Speaker 4: And what kind of car do you have?

Speaker 9: I have a Nissan. Okay.

Speaker 4: Where's that car now?

Speaker 9: I don't have it with me.

Speaker 20: Okay.

Speaker 32: Where's it at?

Speaker 9: I left it at her house and then I came

over here on the bus.

Speaker 15: Okay.

Speaker 7: You left it at SeaTac?

Speaker 15: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 23: Okay.

Speaker 4: Okay, do you remember what exit you took? I don't know. Okay.

Speaker 22: So just to clarify, you go from Everett to the

hospital in Everett, you get him checked out, you drive

to your friend in SeaTac, you leave the car there,

you leave him there, and.

Speaker 5: You take a bus from SeaTac down here?

Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 5: Okay. And that all happened today?

Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 37: Is that a pretty expensive ticket to get a C-Tram

bus to come down here?

Speaker 9: No, actually it was only like 30 bucks.

Speaker 3: Oh really?

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 7: That's not bad.

Speaker 4: What's your first name again? Jeanette. Jeanette.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 15: Jeanette.

Speaker 4: You're not, you're not.

Speaker 21: Lying.

Speaker 4: You have a longtime friend that you reach out to

to leave your son with, who you obviously care about

very much.

Speaker 9: Of course, I love him with all my heart.

Speaker 4: And again, you're expressing how upset you are about what's

going on between you and your mom and the custody

of him and your older son. That's horrible. So I

know that you're not going to go leave your son

with somebody and you don't know where he is.

Speaker 11: Yeah, no.

Speaker 4: So you do know where he is.

Speaker 9: No, I know where he is. I know where he's at.

Speaker 4: Tell me where he's at.

Speaker 9: I don't have the address for him.

Speaker 4: Okay, how can we find the address for him? I

don't know.

Speaker 9: Did you put it in your phone?

Speaker 18: No.

Speaker 4: To get there?

Speaker 12: Okay.

Speaker 4: Alika, you know where your son is because you're a

mom who loves her son very much.

Speaker 9: I'm not Alika.

Speaker 3: I'm Janelle.

Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Janelle.

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 4: You took him somewhere and you're going to go back

to him and you know where he is. So tell

me where he's at so we can make sure that

he's okay or what's going on.

Speaker 9: So he's not. I mean, he's there. He's with her.

Speaker 4: Tell me how to go check on her.

Speaker 9: I can give you an address.

Speaker 4: And what's the address? I don't know.

Speaker 9: You have to write it down.

Speaker 4: Okay, I can do that.

Speaker 3: Do you.

Speaker 7: Have a phone number for her, too?

Speaker 9: Um, I don't.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: I don't have a phone number for her, but.

Speaker 7: When he fell, where did he get hurt?

Speaker 9: Just on his head. He fell on the ground and

he hurt himself.

Speaker 7: Heads are the worst.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 4: I'm just trying to find... I don't even.

Speaker 7: How old's your son?

Speaker 9: He is five. So I don't know if this is

the right one.

Speaker 2: And Seattle, Washington.

Speaker 9: So 57... 57... 01... Yep. 230... I mean... Seattle, Washington.

Speaker 4: Where did you get that address from? Just now.

Speaker 9: From the top of my head.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Okay. So that's where you remember leaving him.

Speaker 9: So, yes, Alika.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 7: That's Alika?

Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 7: How do you spell that?

Speaker 4: A-L-I-C-A.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 9: Last name is B-O-N-N.

Speaker 3: B-O-N-N?

Speaker 15: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Vaughn?

Speaker 9: Uh-huh.

Speaker 36: So, and if you guys can't find him or whatever,

this is where I'm going to be for the next

12 minutes.

Speaker 7: But I mean, he's there. They check you in.

Speaker 4: How did you guys discuss that you're going to, you're

obviously going to communicate with him still. You want to

check on him and all that. How are you guys

going to communicate?

Speaker 3: Closer.

Speaker 15: Oh, yeah.

Speaker 12: I think I've got things kind of figured out. We

were kind of bouncing back and forth with our Accident

Ping and Amber Alert. And so part of the Amber

Alert was to have dispatch.

Speaker 3: Start up ICART.

Speaker 12: So I needed to verify with you because you're now

the I-Cart person, aren't you?

Speaker 11: I am not.

Speaker 3: Oh, who's the I-Cart now? Okay. I figured I'd run

it by you.

Speaker 12: Anyway uh just see where we wanted to go with

that um but yeah that's kind of my thing is

that if we instituted icart we're just kind of stepping

on our own toes so we've kind of already got

that part of it going, it would just be a

matter of checking the box, I think.

Speaker 11: Right?

Speaker 3: I mean, I haven't done one of these. I haven't

done an Amber Alert, I don't think, for years.

Speaker 11: So.

Speaker 12: Yeah, and I know they've changed procedures and forms and

all that, so.

Speaker 3: You know, it might not be a bad idea just

to kind of have.

Speaker 12: She's got maybe a PowerPoint or something that she can

send for some refresher training. You know, because how many

times we do amber alerts, right? But when we need to,

we're kind of sitting there stuck.

Speaker 11: But, yeah.

Speaker 8: Oh.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 12: Well, so things have kind of slowed down a little bit.

So they were able to, well, we're at about 99.9%

sure that this gal is down at a rehab center

in Vancouver. Clark County is down there right now. I

just talked to the sergeant. He's got the building surrounded,

but they haven't gone in to identify her yet. So

I asked him to please go inside and a hundred

percent identify this gal as the.

Speaker 3: This is Clark County, apparently. So, yeah.

Speaker 12: Yeah, I asked them to go in there, and I

guess they were concerned that if they go in there

and start talking to her and she wants to run away,

can they detain her? Well, we don't even know what

we've got right now, but we need to find out

if that's her. And so they're doing that right now, apparently,

is 100% identification. Then we're done with the ping. We're

done with the Amber Alert. And then we have to

now figure out where she hid the kid. And if

the kid's still alive. Yeah, it's a good amount. It's

about a foot by foot diameter and that's deep red,

like bright red, fresh blood. So it's a lot of

blood in one area. That child is definitely hurt. Yeah,

that's what we were working on right after I got

the phone with Albright. So we're kind of canvassing the

area right now.

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Yeah. Sure.

Speaker 13: Yep. Okay.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 3: All right, well, I guess it doesn't definitely sound like

it's going down now.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 12: Yeah, now there's just even more questions to be answered,

so we'll hopefully get something.

Speaker 13: Yeah, I was out on my evening run, so I

did not get your phone. Gotcha.

Speaker 14: Okay.

Speaker 3: I can't carry so many phones. No, I get you.

I get you.

Speaker 12: So I'm going to be turning this over to Paul Stewart.

Doug Purcell is over here helping us out, so I'm

going to kind of hand it off to them, so.

Speaker 19: Sure.

Speaker 3: No, thank you for calling back.

Speaker 11: All right.

Speaker 3: We'll see you. Yes, sir.

Speaker 12: Yeah, so we have up to 72 hours, right?

Speaker 8: Oh, 48.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 12: Yeah, we'll try to figure it out, because I've not

done one of these, so.

Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be a learning curve, so.

Is it in vector?

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: Oh, oh, okay. Yeah, what would it be under if

I have to go looking for it? Oh, XGP. Okay.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: All right. Thanks for your help.

Speaker 12: That was awesome to hear that iFlock was, or.

Speaker 3: iFlock, that flock was working. Yeah, iFlock. Everything's i, iFlock.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 11: So, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3: Hopefully pretty soon we'll have that too.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I'll be.

Speaker 12: Yeah, so Adam, I think, is going back to the

station to write up his side of it because he's

not here tomorrow. So he's primary, so he'll be here

writing on this for a bit. I'm going to check

in with him before I go home, so I'll be

down at the South Precinct here in a.

Speaker 13: Little bit.

Speaker 5: Okay, I'm safe.

Speaker 13: Bye.

Speaker 3: Thank you.

Speaker 19: Yeah, no problem.

Speaker 20: Do you still need me for anything?

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 10: Okay.

Speaker 13: I'm going to take this off and.

Speaker 12: Because you said this one is just the sheer face

in the back right here.

Speaker 20: Yeah, that's kind of what it sounds like.

Speaker 3: That's what Titus said, and I kind of looked in the.

Speaker 7: Back, and it's like... This is like a second story.

Speaker 20: Yeah, it's like a second story, basically. So don't worry

about that. Yeah, we don't have to worry about it,

it looks like.

Speaker 7: All right, see you later, Josh. There's a Nissan out here.

Speaker 13: I need to know when it got here. I'm scared.

Speaker 7: Oh, sorry.

Speaker 11: Didn't mean to.

Speaker 3: I got a camera on me, by the way.

Speaker 9: Okay, which one?

Speaker 12: The blue Nissan that I'm parked right in front of,

right over here.

Speaker 7: See that blue Nissan right there? When did that get there?

Speaker 4: I don't know. I can check.

Speaker 9: We can pull the cameras up. Do you want me

to call the owner and have her pull the cameras

up and see what time?

Speaker 23: Yes, please.

Speaker 9: It might take a minute.

Speaker 3: Is that okay?

Speaker 7: Yeah, and if there was one or two people that came.

Speaker 3: Out of it.

Speaker 4: Okay, and you don't think the people are here anymore?

Speaker 3: I know where one of them is, but I'm looking

for a second one. It would be a child.

Speaker 4: Okay, you'd like me to pull it up, so give

me a minute.

Speaker 11: Okay, thank you.

Speaker 22: Okay.

Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 32: I drove by and it... Yeah, I drove by and

it made sense. Okay, we'll keep.

We'll keep working.

Speaker 22: this then but i'm just there's also a blood stop

spot on her shoe so this is not looking.

Speaker 19: Good okay well we'll be here.

Speaker 22: Perfect well like i said she's she's lying about it

so stay on it and i'll update you when i

know more okay all right.

Speaker 32: Thanks this sergeant back.

Speaker 22: Hey yeah it's her she's got a blood spot on

her shoes her car's parked like 20 blocks away uh.

Speaker 32: Yeah, so she's.

Speaker 22: Telling, she's lying, she's telling us that the car is

up in Sea-Tac, where she dropped her son off. She's

claiming that she took her son to the Providence Hospital in.

Speaker 32: She submitted, it was not a formal court order.

Speaker 19: Nope.

Speaker 26: And I covered custodial interference, false misleading, criminal, sorry, criminal abandonment.

I was talking to Kelstrup, and I was like, let's

get creative on this, and he was like, I don't

think any of these are going to work.

Speaker 29: The strongest thing off-sea is the false misleading. You're not

there yet. He's like, honestly, try again.

Speaker 12: Hey, this is Drake with Everett. Were you guys able

to confirm? Oh, you guys got a car. Okay, so

they're seeing something that might be blood.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 3: Are you guys able to snap photos on your end

down there? Oh, perfect. Yeah.

Speaker 34: Okay.

Speaker 3: Could you give me, uh.

Speaker 12: Just text me the address where the car's at?

Speaker 3: When you get it. Uh, sorry, let me get paper.

Speaker 19: They have.

Speaker 34: Alright.

Speaker 3: Uh, so Alicia.

Yeah, I got you.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: Okay, and this is an address that came from her?

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 12: Okay, and she's saying she dropped her car off, but

obviously it's down there.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: Blood on shoe and blood on passenger side.

Speaker 11: Possibly.

Speaker 5: Oh, good.

Speaker 3: Okay. Okay. Why don't I... So, I'm at.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Go ahead. And it's three peaks? Yeah.

Speaker 11: Okay. Chavern. Oh, okay.

Speaker 19: Great.

Speaker 6: Well, I'm not going to use my phone because I'm

going to be here for the next 12 months.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 9: So if anything, I don't know.

Speaker 20: What else?

Speaker 4: Okay. That's it. You didn't discuss that with Alika before

you left?

Speaker 6: Yes, I discussed it with her. I'm going to be

here for 12 months. But before that, I don't.

Speaker 36: Speak to my parents or anything like that because we

got into an altercation. But this is where I'm going

to be.

Speaker 4: Okay. I'm going to give him that address.

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 4: And then.

Tell me about your alcoholism. How long have you been

dealing with that?

Speaker 9: I've been drinking alcohol.

Speaker 4: Or if you don't mind telling me.

Speaker 9: Yeah, it's okay. I've been here... This is like my third... Okay,

I've been here like... That was like my third year here.

Speaker 20: Okay.

Speaker 36: So I did 11 months in recovery because I was

never like an alcoholic.

Speaker 9: I was more like of a drug user. So the

only drug I ever used was meth.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 9: And I used it for roughly like four to five years.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 36: I came to finally get clean on and off, on

and off, right? I tried it one time and then

years passed and then I do it again and.

Speaker 9: Then years passed.

Speaker 19: Right. Sure.

Speaker 36: So I'm here now. Um, I did a full year

of recovery, 11 months. And then I did my second year, um,

like coming back and like, you know, doing the group

and stuff like that. So two years, this is my

third year clean. I started drinking a lot because I

was like, okay, I'm not a drinker. I'm like, I was,

you know, I was a, I was a drug user.

Speaker 4: So alcohol is okay.

Speaker 20: So alcohol is fine.

Speaker 9: I'm like, it's a socialized thing that everybody does.

Speaker 4: I'm going to go out.

Speaker 9: I'm going to have dinner. I'm going to do this.

Speaker 6: Well, I drink to the point where I can drink

a whole bottle of just like liquor.

Speaker 36: So I'm like, that's now I'm an alcoholic. So I

started to have all kinds of problems. And then now

I'm back here hoping I can get clean again.

Speaker 9: It just depends.

Speaker 4: Well, I'm glad you're in a space where you feel safe,

that you feel like that can work for you. I

hope it does.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 4: That's great. I'm ready. Good. Well, I hope I just

want to figure out where your son is. Obviously, there

was some concerns. And once we can do that, his

injury was pretty bad. Yeah, was there quite a bit

of blood and stuff? What did he do?

Speaker 36: He jumped from the bed that we were sleeping on

to the ground. And then he just got blood on

his head. And so I had him taken to the doctor.

Speaker 9: So he's doing good.

Speaker 4: Okay. Okay. What did he hit it on?

Speaker 9: Just on the ground.

Speaker 4: Okay. How did it start bleeding?

Speaker 9: It just started bleeding.

Speaker 4: Can you show me, like, what side of his head?

Do you remember what side of his head it was?

Speaker 9: I don't remember exactly what side of the head it was, but...

It's starting to rain.

Speaker 4: A little bit.

Speaker 3: Yeah, it.

Speaker 31: Is.

Speaker 4: Okay, so what time did it occur today?

Speaker 9: Like early, like at 10, 11. 10 or 11, okay.

Speaker 4: Do you know what time it is now?

Speaker 9: It's already 6, 6.30, or about.

Speaker 4: To be 7. So how long were you guys at

the hospital?

Speaker 36: We were only there for a little bit. I don't

even think he got checked. We got there, but I

didn't wait enough for him to get checked out.

Speaker 4: So he didn't actually go back and get checked.

Speaker 11: Gotcha.

Speaker 4: Did you actually go inside and check him in?

Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 4: Okay. And then did you tell him you were leaving? Mm-hmm.

You did? Okay. You just said he's not going to

be seen and left?

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 4: And how is he acting?

Speaker 6: He's okay.

Speaker 4: Yeah?

Speaker 7: What happened to him when he fell? Nothing.

Speaker 9: He just cried.

Speaker 3: Just cried?

Speaker 16: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 9: Just... Just like, you know, just like, yeah.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Do you want to sit down? I can put you just,

I can leave the door open. You can sit right there.

So you're out.

Speaker 5: Of the room.

Speaker 9: Because he was bleeding from his head.

Speaker 3: That's why.

Speaker 4: And you can stay dry. Yeah.

Speaker 9: Well, that's scary.

Speaker 4: He's four.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 4: Did he vomit or anything?

Speaker 19: No.

Speaker 9: He didn't vomit or anything.

Speaker 25: Okay.

Speaker 4: Well, hang tight for just a minute. Well, hopefully we

can quickly locate him and move.

Speaker 19: On.

Speaker 4: You said it took you two hours to get from

Providence to your friend's house.

Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 4: And you left for there about 10 this morning?

Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 4: Do you know how long you were at the hospital for?

Speaker 9: Um, I was only there for a little bit of time.

Speaker 34: Again, I didn't want to wait.

Speaker 4: So I was like, let's go. Can you describe to

me what that Providence looks like? Do you know what

road it's on or what is, um, did you park

in the emergency room parking lot or? I don't remember.

Speaker 13: I don't know.

Speaker 4: Or was there a parking garage or anything?

Speaker 9: I don't remember at the top of my head.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 4: Do you remember when you walked in, like, can you

describe to me when you walked in what it looked like?

Speaker 34: It, just the hospital, just the hospital.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: But can you describe, like, when you walk in the door,

where was the check-in?

Speaker 6: In the front, like the, I walked in, as soon

as I walked in, the front desk was checked in

right there.

Speaker 9: And I just, I said my son had to be

seen for something. And then I just, his name and everything.

Speaker 25: Okay.

Speaker 4: You're going like this, so you wrote it down, or

was there like a check-in thing?

Speaker 9: There was a check-in, but I think they checked me in.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 4: So you didn't write anything on there. Okay. Have you

been there before? No. No, that was your first time?

Speaker 34: That was my first time.

Speaker 4: When you checked into the desk, was it just an

open desk, or was it behind a, like, did they

have like a glass wall, or?

Speaker 9: Just an open desk.

Speaker 4: Okay. Was there a lot of people in there?

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 4: That's why you didn't want to wait, because it was

too long. Do you think he needed stitches or anything?

Speaker 9: No, he's fine.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: You didn't remember where his injury was?

Speaker 19: Mm-mm.

Speaker 4: Is it front, side, back? Do you remember?

Speaker 9: It's the side.

Speaker 34: It was the side.

Speaker 4: Definitely one of the sides that you recall?

Speaker 9: The front, yeah.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 4: Front. You're kind of pointing above the eyebrow?

Speaker 8: Mm-mm.

Speaker 4: Okay. All right. And then you contacted your friend through Facebook?

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 9: Or I got her information through Facebook.

Speaker 4: Oh, okay. And then what information did you get?

Speaker 36: Just her number, and then I went to her house

and dropped off my kid there, and then now I'm here.

Speaker 4: Okay. You got, like, her phone number? Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 4: And did you call her from your phone?

Speaker 9: From my phone.

Speaker 4: Okay, the one that's in your purse there you called

her from?

Speaker 16: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 9: I think I erased it, though, but I have her number.

I don't know if you guys want to call her,

but I don't think she's going to answer anymore.

Speaker 4: This is California. 4-5-0-2-2-0. That's her number. 6-2-6-5-4-5.

Speaker 9: Again, I don't think she's going to.

Speaker 4: 0-2-2-0?

Speaker 9: I don't think she's going to answer.

Speaker 4: How come? What makes you think that?

Speaker 9: Because I don't know if she's still going to be there.

Speaker 4: Did you send her any text messages?

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 5: Hey Jen, do you guys have state insurance? Is that

how you go through when you go to the hospital?

Is it the Apple?

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Do you remember what your son was wearing today when

you took him to the hospital?

Speaker 9: Pajamas, blue pajamas.

Speaker 19: Poo?

Speaker 4: Like Winnie the Pooh?

Speaker 9: Just regular blue pajamas.

Speaker 19: Oh, blue.

Speaker 5: So I just passed that information on.

Speaker 32: They'll see if they can get a hold of her, check.

Speaker 4: She gave maybe.

Speaker 5: A phone number too.

Speaker 23: Yeah.

Speaker 22: Yeah, he's working on it. He's also working on getting

video of when it was left. It's left at a

tap room, so he's trying to get video of when

it was left and if he can see anything.

Speaker 19: Uh, So, yeah.

Speaker 5: Yes, I will. I will.

Speaker 22: And then I've also got another address, so.

So she's claiming she dropped her friend off at SeaTac

with Alicia.

Speaker 5: Alika. Alika?

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 32: Is that how she spelled it?

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 23: A-L-I-C-A.

Speaker 7: Bon.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 23: Let me know when you're ready.

Speaker 7: She didn't give any directional markers on it.

Speaker 32: Tavern, and it's like.

Speaker 22: 20 blocks from the facility that she's at.

Speaker 5: And it's three peaks?

Speaker 32: Three peaks like a mountain peak?

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 21: Okay.

Speaker 32: I can give you.

Just hang on just a second. I can give you

the actual address.

Speaker 38: Oh, okay, great.

Speaker 32: It's 244... Okay.

Speaker 3: And that's Vancouver?

Speaker 32: Ridgefield, Washington.

Speaker 4: Oh, Ridgefield.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 11: Great.

Speaker 13: Are you guys.

Speaker 11: She's offering.

Speaker 32: I mean, she's pretty cooperative. She's offering to.

Speaker 5: Stay here.

Speaker 32: Okay.

Speaker 3: And that's Vancouver?

Speaker 2: Oh, Ridge.

Speaker 34: Okay.

Speaker 11: Great.

Speaker 3: Um, are you guys, you got somebody that's going to

stand by them?

Speaker 7: Huh?

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 12: If it gets to a point where she just goes

quiet and doesn't want to talk anymore or something like that,

we'll figure out where we're going to go from there.

But we're still trying to work through what we got

up here and without her giving us more, I we

just don't know we don't know what's going on with

this kid so yeah so our dispatchers called around all

the ones that are in our area and he had

been like Ariel is the kid's name had been at

the hospital at Swedish Mill Creek uh three days ago

so there's actually a hospital band that we've got showing

that he was up there um but he has not

been back she has not been back since then um

so we know that there's no hospitals up here that

has seen either.

Speaker 3: One of the two.

Speaker 11: Yeah yeah.

Speaker 12: Not in the amount of time that she did too

apparently well i don't know she might have left earlier

too because i guess she was her car was seen

in kent around one That's some of the info we got. So, okay,

if we got more, I'll give you a call back.

Either way, we'll touch base. No, because I'm getting relieved.

So I'm going to, the sergeant that's taking my spot

is on board, knows everything that's going on. So I'm

going to turn it over to him. And we've got

our major crime detective.

Speaker 2: Here, too.

Speaker 3: So he'll probably want to reach out to you guys.

Speaker 12: Yep.

Speaker 18: Yep.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 11: Great.

Speaker 3: Thank you. All right.

Speaker 10: Bye.

Speaker 3: Hey, Doug, when you got a minute.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Have you got a minute?

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: So Clark County has made contact with her a hundred percent.

It's her.

Speaker 12: She says that she dropped the kid off with a

friend in SeaTac with a name and an address.

Speaker 20: Cool.

Speaker 12: Um, She says she took the bus from SeaTac down

to this place in Vancouver. But they ended up finding

her car about 20 blocks away from the rehab center.

So there's an officer that's out with the car right now.

It's over at some place called Three Peaks Tavern.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 12: So they said that Janet, the mom, has some blood

on her shoe. There's also blood in the car.

Speaker 20: Okay.

Speaker 3: They're not.

Speaker 12: The deputy that's out there, he told them that there's

blood in the car, but which side of the seat, whatever,

they're not sure.

Speaker 3: So there's definitely some blood that's in the car.

Speaker 12: So they've got the car. They're taking photos of it.

apparently they took some photos of her, I think, with

the blood on the chute.

Speaker 20: And no injuries to her, I'm assuming.

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 3: And she's cooperative, but she's just giving them a bunch

of lies.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 20: So, and we have CTAC en route to this location?

Speaker 3: Not yet.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 12: So that's why I wanted to check with you, because

I'm basically being told to turn.

Speaker 3: Over what I got and go.

Speaker 20: Wait, is Paul still here?

Speaker 3: I don't know where he went.

Speaker 20: I'm going to call Serge back, Crocker back, who just called.

Speaker 26: Me, but I think that the next step would be

to get CTAC moving to that location unless you think

of anything better but I don't think there's any obvious

PC on her just yet unless they have false misleading

or criminal trespass but I mean like if we can

get her booked let's get her booked.

Speaker 12: Right so she's supposedly checked in or she's there as

a patient she's cooperative right but again she's just kind

of given some take.

Speaker 26: Her on DUI if she's coming from a tavern or

something right like I'll go down.

Speaker 20: There I'll do SMS.

Speaker 3: You'll find something.

Speaker 4: Can I ask who you're messaging with?

Speaker 9: Yeah, my sister. I was just talking to her about

her flying out here.

Speaker 4: Oh, nice. Where does she live?

Speaker 9: California.

Speaker 4: Oh, okay.

Speaker 5: What part?

Speaker 9: In Pasadena.

Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to move over there.

Speaker 5: It's nice and sunny down there right now.

Speaker 21: Yeah.

Speaker 7: It's really good.

Speaker 2: Some advantages.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 6: So if you guys don't, like, locate my son, what's

going to happen?

Speaker 3: Hey, are you still in the area or did you clear? Oh, yeah.

Are you still in the area or did you clear?

Speaker 12: Well, I'm getting ready to take off here and probably

be good to have a supervisor who's kind of aware

of what's going on here.

Speaker 3: Because it's just Doug. Everybody else is gone.

Speaker 12: Yeah, do they have the same amount of intel or

the information that we've talked about?

Speaker 23: Okay.

Speaker 3: So, she's there. They're talking to her.

Speaker 12: She's cooperative, but she's lying. She says that she dropped

the kid off at some friend down in SeaTac. So

I'm gonna get on the radio and have them go

check this address in SeaTac. But I'm supposed to also

be turning this over to somebody else.

Speaker 32: So.

Speaker 12: Okay, the deputy, or the sergeant down in Clark County,

his guys, one's with the car. They found the car

about 20 blocks away from the rehab place.

Speaker 3: Yeah, there's blood in the car.

Speaker 12: They're not 100% sure like he wasn't sure if it

was on the driver's seat or passenger seat but there's

definitely blood in the car she has blood on her

shoe so there's definitely some more.

Speaker 3: To this but she's got no visible injuries.

Speaker 12: She they're taking photos of her and of the car

and they're wanting to send those up to us so

I'm wanting to give them somebody who's going to be

hear somebody that can give him to I was going

to just basically turn it over to Purcell but Purcell

is also being told to kind of hang back because

this isn't criminal yet so well yeah it is I

mean to me everything about it sounds criminal but he's

gone through all his stuff with Crocker and there's nothing

that's been met yet to say that this is a

criminal investigation so We have to have patrol keeping this

thing rolling.

Speaker 3: Okay, sounds good.

Speaker 7: All right, thanks.

Speaker 3: Hey, Roger, this is Sergeant Drake. Hey, I need to do.

Speaker 12: An assist law for SeaTac. I have SeaTac doing an

assist law for us, basically. And I'm not 100% sure

if this is going to be SeaTac or if it's

going to be King County. So I can give you

an address, yeah. Okay, I can just go to data

and just give it to him.

Speaker 3: Would that be easier? Okay, yeah, whatever works.

Speaker 12: I'm putting out an attempt to locate or assist law

down at SeaTac.

Speaker 3: I'll give you more info here in a second.

Speaker 12: Hey, this is Sergeant Drake 230. Hi, so I need

an assist law open for CTAC to go check an address.

Speaker 3: It's going to be.

Speaker 12: I don't know if it's northeast, northwest, or whatever. And

we're going to be trying to contact an ALICA, and

it's spelled A-L-I-C-A-B-O-N-N, like Boy Ocean, Nora Nora.

Speaker 3: And we're trying.

Speaker 12: To check the welfare, establish if she knows where Ariel is.

Speaker 3: Ariel Garcia, the child that's in our call.

Speaker 8: Yep.

Speaker 3: And we're checking the welfare of that child. If the

child is there, we need to know immediately. Let me give...

It's going to be Sergeant Stewart.

Speaker 4: 430.

Speaker 3: Okay, cool. Thank you. All right.

Speaker 25: Bye.

Speaker 12: What you want to know, there's a whole lot of

silliness going on here.

Speaker 3: So has Doug kind of caught you up to him?

Speaker 11: Not really. So what I know is four-year-old missing mom's

found down Clark County or somewhere down there. Apparently there's

an order to take the kid from mom, but it

hasn't been served.

Speaker 33: Right.

Speaker 11: Okay. Apparently there's a ton of blood inside.

Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty good.

Speaker 24: And then mom made a comment about kids being hurt.

Speaker 11: Right.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 12: So initially, mom and child have been staying here for

a couple days.

Speaker 3: This is not her residence. It's ex-boyfriend's mom's place.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 12: So she's couch surfing here. Ex-boyfriend's mom is the only

other person here at the apartment.

Speaker 3: She leaves this morning around 7. So it's just mom

and child.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 3: Somewhere later on this afternoon, mom, the Janet, the mom of.

Speaker 12: The kid, texted the boyfriend's mom, ex-boyfriend's mom, saying... that

Ariel felt and got hurt and that she took him

to the hospital and she's on her way to rehab

down in Vancouver.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 12: That's the last anybody really had heard from her at

that point. Uh, Her mom was coming over to serve

her with that court paperwork. And so she ends up

over here at 3 about, that's when ex-boyfriend's mom also

comes back to the apartment, finds the blood on the carpet,

they call us.

Speaker 15: Okay.

Speaker 3: While we've been here, Janet did, Janet is the mom

of Ariel. Okay.

Speaker 12: Janet did reach out to Titus, or Titus was able

to get a hold of her and had conversation with her.

And she said that she took the kid to the hospital.

Speaker 3: He's fine.

Speaker 12: And didn't disclose where he was, but she said that

she was down in Oregon. Oh, she said she dropped

him off with a friend down in Seattle.

Speaker 3: And she's in Oregon. And that was it.

Speaker 12: She did not answer the phone after that. No text, nothing.

We tried to ping on the phone. Phone just turned.

Speaker 8: Off.

Speaker 4: So.

Speaker 5: Sent.

Speaker 12: Clark County down to the rehab place where she was

a patient before down in Ridgefield.

Speaker 8: Right.

Speaker 3: And they went. Vancouver, right?

Speaker 11: Vancouver.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 3: Right. They went down there.

Speaker 12: Initially, I guess they talked to someone who said, no,

she wasn't there. And then we were told initially that

she was there, but she's not. And then later, and

I'm guessing there's just been some miscommunication because there's some

non-English people. speaking to folks there at the rehab place

and stuff like that.

Speaker 3: So some bad information. They did establish that, yes, she's there.

She's a patient. And so I just got off the

phone with the sergeant down there. They did go in.

They did identify her as Janet. She is mom. Child's

not with her. Mom has blood on her shoe.

Speaker 12: Mom says that she took a bus down to the

rehab place, but they found her car about 20 blocks away.

Car has blood inside of it.

Speaker 23: So they're just.

Speaker 3: Basically static with her in the car right now.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 3: But we still don't know where the kid is.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 3: Mom is still on the phone.

Speaker 29: Mom is still on the phone. She's still on the phone.

Speaker 3: On the scene.

Speaker 11: That's why I thought you were coming.

Speaker 3: Out of the scene.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 17: Okay.

Speaker 29: I think SeaTac is our next move.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 12: I mean, that was what we got from them down

in Clarktown.

Speaker 2: I'll go down there.

Speaker 11: We'll do the hands-on.

Speaker 4: I'll use PC.

Speaker 3: So, yeah.

Speaker 12: I mean, we'll have to work on maybe trying that

name that she gave.

Speaker 3: I've been trying to see if we can come up

with something. So, I'll talk to you more about it

when you do. Okay. So, apparently.

Speaker 12: That SeaTac address doesn't pan out.

Speaker 20: Doesn't what?

Speaker 3: Doesn't pan out.

Speaker 29: As in, like, there's nobody there?

Speaker 3: There's no address.

Speaker 20: There we go.

Speaker 3: There we go.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 5: So, I'm.

Speaker 26: Going to pursue the avenue of false misleading against her

for giving us a bad address for where he supposedly

is and arresting her for that.

Speaker 20: I know Paul was working on getting you out of here.

Speaker 24: Is someone on the way in to help you?

Speaker 26: Uh crocker's on the line with me right now but

he's he's we're very much on the same page of

like if someone came here right now all they'd be.

Speaker 2: Doing is sitting here staring at you.

Speaker 26: So we're waiting for the pc trigger to start bringing

more resources so so.

Speaker 12: The only thing i'd say to that doug is because

we couldn't verify the address doesn't mean it doesn't exist

so they weren't able to give us a northeast southeast

southwest or anything like that which would probably there's some

all they.

Speaker 3: Got was the street and the avenue So.

Speaker 12: I can give them a call back and see if

they can give us more, like a northeast, northwest, whatever.

Speaker 31: Yeah.

Speaker 12: And then we can just go as far with that

address as we can to verify if it's a good

address or not.

Speaker 20: Are you okay with hanging out and doing some extra.

Speaker 7: Work on this?

Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll work on that side of it. Okay. And

then Paul's on his way over.

Speaker 11: Okay, cool.

Speaker 3: And I'm going to turn it over to him. Sounds good.

But he's kind of like right at the point where

I was.

Speaker 26: because if we can get false misleading because like we

were this close with adam like and i talked to

prosecutors and they're like yeah if you can that's like

a good one like they were talking about doing criminal

trespass down at the rehab center so if we can

get her on false misleading there's which gates clark county

we'll get her book and we'll we'll come up here

and do what we got.

Speaker 3: To do okay um what about the car and clothes

and all that stuff.

Speaker 26: I mean we're gonna we'll take it right so the

uh i mean because that's evidence of her misleading us

to where the lie is, which is where he's at.

So we'll take all that, but I think the first

part is getting that PC solidified.

Speaker 3: So how about the information that she provided to Titus initially?

Speaker 26: So I spoke to Adam about it, because she spoke

to Adam, and that was about the hospital information, but

the problem there was that it was vague about which

hospital that she was supposed to take him to.

Speaker 3: Didn't she tell him that she had gone to Oregon?

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 26: She said Seattle wait no Portland or something like that

she was she was very off about which location it

was but it wasn't a clear definable thing so and

I think versus.

Speaker 20: She if she had said like hey I took him

to Swedish Mill Creek and they call.

Speaker 26: Swedish Mill Creek and they go no he didn't get

checked in nor have we had any four year olds checked.

Speaker 3: In well didn't she say she took him to Swedish Mill.

Speaker 26: Creek Swedish and there's a lot of Swedish's around okay.

Speaker 3: Um what okay.

Speaker 29: So I think the next step is trying to find

out if.

Speaker 3: He's suitable for the boat.

Speaker 12: Hey, it's Drake again. So we're looking at the SeaTac address.

Apparently it's not a good address. Can you verify, have

one of the deputies verify with her?

Speaker 3: And maybe I wrote it down wrong. 232nd Avenue. Is

that a northeast, southeast, northwest? Do we know?

Speaker 12: Hey, hold on a sec. I got a picture of it.

Just a second. Oh, you got a picture of the house?

Speaker 5: No, a picture of what they wrote down.

Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.

Speaker 12: Um, so what we're trying, what we're trying to do

is we're trying to, for.

Speaker 3: This gal, for Alika.

Speaker 5: Okay. What's that?

Speaker 13: 545-8220.

Speaker 9: 8220.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 13: Uh, go ahead.

Speaker 3: Okay. I'm not on speakerphone with her around there, right?

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 12: So we're looking at trying to find something that we

can detain her on.

Speaker 7: If you guys.

Speaker 12: So there's two things we're trying to find out. She

says that she took him to the hospital and he

got treated. She's saying that she went to Swedish... hospital

can one of the deputies there ask her which swedish

hospital okay.

Speaker 3: Okay are you able to ask.

Speaker 12: Her is it providence pacific campus or providence.

Speaker 3: Colby campus.

Speaker 12: Okay, and if you can find out anything else from her,

like did she take him to the emergency room? Does

she know the doctor that looked at him or anything

like that? Anything that we can just go right back

and say no, that's BS.

Speaker 5: Yeah, so I've.

Speaker 14: Got a detail detective that she needs to.

Speaker 13: Like and start talking to.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 3: Yeah, we're trying to lock her into anything that we

can verify on our end up here that's false. And

then we've got a criminal charge we can detain her on. Okay.

That may work.

Speaker 12: If you can go a little bit further so that

we maybe have it up here as well, that would

just solidify things on our end up here. And if

you could also find out from her, whether you ask

or whoever, what that full address is.

Speaker 3: Okay, and then we'll work on the, sorry.

Speaker 12: So I'm still waiting for the sergeant to get back

over here to relieve me, but I'm going to turn.

Speaker 20: Man, it's wet.

Speaker 7: Man it's wet.

Speaker 28: What is your son's birthday.

Speaker 9: My son's birthday January.

Speaker 7: Just passed did he just turn.

Speaker 36: 5 we didn't get to do anything but we had

fun he's an amazing.

Speaker 7: Baby yeah what's he like what's he like doing.

Speaker 9: Nothing he just he's a really good kid yeah.

Speaker 19: Hello what.

Speaker 6: He I already told you that sister yeah she wants.

Speaker 36: To know where the baby is and I'm like I

already gave you guys the address and the phone number

so there's nothing else.

Speaker 3: I can do yeah no.

Speaker 7: Just get into any sports or anything Yeah.

Speaker 9: They like to play soccer, football.

Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.

Speaker 7: Those are the typical kid things.

Speaker 3: Right.

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Has he started school yet?

Speaker 5: Is it about kindergarten time?

Speaker 34: He's supposed to be in kindergarten.

Speaker 3: Yeah?

Speaker 7: Is he supposed to... He was supposed to start this

year or didn't start?

Speaker 9: He was supposed to start in August.

Speaker 7: Oh, okay.

Speaker 9: But I was busy with, like, so much.

Speaker 23: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Was that when you were down here?

Speaker 15: Yeah.

Speaker 13: Oh, okay.

Speaker 5: Yeah, he deserves so much better.

Speaker 7: Well, you know, he'll get there.

Speaker 9: Yeah?

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Does he know he's about to get ready to start

school yet?

Speaker 9: Yeah, he knows. He's going to be a year late,

but it's okay.

Speaker 7: That's all right. We started my kid a year late, too.

Speaker 3: Really?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 3: You know what?

Speaker 7: There's advantages to it. I mean, they can start.

Speaker 28: They're a little bit more mature when they start to play,

you know, like football and stuff.

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 7: They're a little bigger than the other kids. There's some advantages.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 9: So if you guys don't, like, locate my son, what's

going to happen?

Speaker 3: That's what we're working on at the moment.

Speaker 7: Why do you think they wouldn't be able to locate him?

I mean, if you got the address to where he'd be.

Speaker 9: Because, like, I don't know.

Speaker 6: I'm just saying, if you guys are not able to

find him, like, what can happen?

Speaker 4: What it's looking like right now is that we're going

to need to stay with you until we find him.

Because it sounds like you said you know where he is,

you know where you left him.

Speaker 3: Right.

Speaker 4: So it shouldn't be an issue, right?

Speaker 7: Right.

Speaker 4: You should be able to locate him.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 4: So that's what we just need to stay with you

until we locate him.

Speaker 34: Okay.

Speaker 4: I have another favor to ask.

Speaker 2: Yes.

Speaker 4: Because it's raining and it's cold and I'm shivering. And

we're going to be with you, I think, for a

little bit. Are you listening to me? We're going to

be with you for a little bit. Would you mind?

We have a precinct right at the road. It's comfortable

and dry that we can all sit in so we

can chat. So we're all out of the rain. Would

that be okay?

Speaker 9: Where is it?

Speaker 7: It's just right down by the fairgrounds.

Speaker 4: Yeah, just on 179th. And then we can give you

a ride back and all of that if that's okay.

Speaker 9: Can I get a coffee from here before we go?

Speaker 7: We got coffee there.

Speaker 3: We have coffee?

Speaker 2: Yeah, we got coffee.

Speaker 3: We can get you coffee.

Speaker 7: You can grab that seatbelt around your backside.

Speaker 5: This one?

Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 4: And then the only other thing, too, when he travels,

I just got to put your purse on the front

seat right there. He's not going to get into it,

but we don't like bags where we can't see him.

Speaker 9: No worries.

Speaker 4: Thank you. Yeah, no worries. Rolls in.

Speaker 32: I guess go, buddy.

Speaker 4: So now we can all be dry and comfortable and

sit and you can get some coffee.

Speaker 7: You're welcome.

Speaker 4: Yay, thank you.

Speaker 9: I appreciate it.

Speaker 3: Absolutely.

Speaker 7: Yeah, we can brew some there.

Speaker 4: She's got some specs on her shirt. She's got a

couple of shoes. She's not really making... I can stop

and get her a coffee or something.

Speaker 34: So we're... We're in... Okay.

Speaker 4: Can you... We just send them to another... I need

everybody out of here. There's no, like, if ands or

buts about it.

Speaker 39: No, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4: We're investigating a crime right now. And because she's been

in here, I need everybody out.

Speaker 23: Okay.

Speaker 4: Please.

Speaker 9: Okay, let me just tell the coordinator real quick.

Speaker 4: I'm going to come with you.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: Thank you. Okay.

Speaker 37: We're going to.

Speaker 4: Have to move everybody out of here, out of this building.

You guys are welcome to be over there, but we

have to get everybody out of this building here. I apologize.

I'm sorry. Sorry. Thank you. Hi, how are you doing? Hi,

I'm sorry.

Speaker 15: How long do you need the room?

Speaker 4: It's going to be a little bit.

Speaker 5: Oh, that's fine.

Speaker 4: Yeah, I apologize.

Speaker 5: It's okay.

Speaker 15: Don't worry.

Speaker 4: I'm sorry.

Speaker 3: No, it's fine.

Speaker 4: I'm sorry. I'll try to make it as quickly, as

quick as possible.

Speaker 2: Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 4: It didn't look like it would be. very long put

this up everybody's no other bathrooms or anything in there

okay perfect thank you.

Speaker 28: It has its good days and bad days.

Speaker 7: Like anything else Joel Samson he'll be in route to

west with.

Speaker 3: One are you working at all.

Speaker 7: Have you worked before in the past or just kind

of stay-at-home mom?

Speaker 34: Yeah, I've been a stay-at-home mom.

Speaker 3: Oh, that's nice.

Speaker 7: So you guys spend a lot of time with your

son then? Do you have any other kids?

Speaker 9: I have one other son.

Speaker 34: He's my oldest son.

Speaker 7: How old is he? I don't know.

Speaker 8: Yeah?

Speaker 7: What kind of stuff does your older son like to do?

Speaker 9: He likes to play football.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Same things. Does he live with you, too?

Speaker 34: He lives with my parents.

Speaker 25: Oh, okay.

Speaker 7: What's your son's name? Both your sons.

Speaker 38: Uh, * * * * * *.

Speaker 9: And the other one is Ariel.

Speaker 7: Okay, the older one's Ariel?

Speaker 3: Uh, okay.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 3: The * * * * * *.

Speaker 7: Is the five-year-old now.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 19: Cool.

Speaker 7: I like that name.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 18: Yeah.

Speaker 7: William's the oldest one. Ariel's the younger one.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 7: Ariel would get hurt a lot?

Speaker 19: No.

Speaker 23: Oh, really?

Speaker 7: My kids, they would fall down and do stuff all

the time.

Speaker 28: Felt like I was constantly taking them to the hospital.

Speaker 7: Still happening. Crazy how fast they grow up.

Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 5: What's that?

Speaker 7: Oh, no, nothing.

Speaker 11: Oh, sorry.

Speaker 7: How was the drive down here today? It was good.

Speaker 4: Yeah?

Speaker 7: Not much traffic?

Speaker 8: No.

Speaker 28: That's kind of nice. I don't mind driving when it's

not bad like that. Do you have to stop for gas?

Speaker 19: No. No?

Speaker 13: Just smooth sailing?

Speaker 7: Smooth sailing.

Speaker 16: What kind of car you got?

Speaker 4: I have a Nissan.

Speaker 5: Oh, okay.

Speaker 7: So you get good gas mileage.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 7: That makes it nice. I got a truck. I got

to stop for gas every.

Speaker 28: It feels like every time I pass an exit. It's

so expensive to fill up anymore, too. Do you like

creamer in your coffee or just black coffee?

Speaker 7: Creamer's fine.

Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.

Speaker 32: I'll see what I can find. I know we've got

the coffee.

Speaker 9: Okay.

Speaker 7: It's a crapshoot on what we got for creamer, but

we'll figure it out.

Speaker 4: Adam, are you monitoring? If there's a unit available to

respond to the address I'm at, 10th Ave? for some

scene security.

Speaker 26: I took a bus here, but her car is down there,

20 blocks away. And she said like that or just

false information, but I think they're in communication with her.

Speaker 20: They have the car.

Speaker 23: They have her.

Speaker 2: Parts are frozen.

Speaker 26: So it's just now the solidifying of the cosmos being.

Speaker 2: Part of it.

Speaker 11: I'm going to call Sarge. Are you on the way in?

Speaker 24: All right, well, I'm gonna relay frustrations to you and

then I'll let you deal with it. So apparently there's

only one detective here. No other detectives are coming in

because they'd only stand here and look at it. Apparently

we found her. She has blood on her clothes. They

found the car. There's blood on the car. That's all

down in Clark County. But they want to wait until

they get some sort of PC before they bring detectives in.

I have some concerns that was Russ Crocker well I

knew this would be a safe space between me and

you so I just want to make sure you knew

what was going on so perfect he it's a little

boy I think it's a little boy four yeah they've

been inside and they look and there's blood on the

carpet I don't know if they've actually searched stem to

stern though that is actually a good question.

Speaker 18: Right.

Speaker 4: Agreed.

Speaker 11: I'll check on that right now. Alright, thanks.

Speaker 7: Bye. Yeah, it's okay. You can't open the doors from

the inside.

Speaker 9: It's okay.

Speaker 4: All right.

Speaker 7: Let me hear it first.

Speaker 19: How long.

Speaker 7: Oh, I'm sorry.

Speaker 34: Go ahead. So, usually, is it busy? Like, is this

part of.

Speaker 3: The county?

Speaker 9: Uh-huh.

Speaker 7: Yeah, it can be.

Speaker 4: That's good.

Speaker 36: I'm going to go right here for a second.

Speaker 11: I think.

Speaker 7: I'll probably have you in one of these rooms.

Speaker 11: Here, you can have a.

Speaker 7: Seat in here.

Speaker 4: Here you go.

Speaker 7: I'll be right back.

Speaker 28: I'm going to start making some coffee.

Speaker 9: Okay.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 7: Thank you. I haven't done this yet.

Speaker 24: Are we searching the entire apartment in confidence he's not

in there? somewhere like shoved in a closet or somewhere

like that?

Speaker 12: I wasn't here for the search, but both Adam and

Titus went in pretty deep into that apartment.

Speaker 11: I'm sorry if we stuffed my drawer somewhere, right?

Speaker 3: I thought we talked to Doug.

Speaker 11: I thought we talked to Doug real quick.

Speaker 12: Yeah, I was going to do something, because it sounds

to me like they actually have PC.

Speaker 3: Down on their end.

Speaker 11: Do they? Perfect.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 12: Solidify this address so that we can confirm that's not

right well actually she said that she took him to

Providence Hospital so I'm going to have them confirm is

it Providence.

Speaker 3: Colby or Pacific both those said no that he wasn't

there so if she says that then I.

Speaker 20: Think we'll be there.

Speaker 12: So she's cooperating they're going to take her back to

their station and talk to her little bit more uh

they've got a detective that she's got a rapport with

and she's going to talk to her okay i gave

them just some addresses and some verifying things that they

can try to get a verified address for this gal

um and everything that's 100 not true she also said

to them down there that she took or i guess

she told no she told them that she took them

to uh providence Providence.

Speaker 11: You're right.

Speaker 20: Okay.

Speaker 3: Yeah, here in Everett.

Speaker 20: She said Providence, Everett?

Speaker 3: Right.

Speaker 12: So I asked them, can you just confirm with her,

was it Colby Campus or Pacific?

Speaker 16: Okay.

Speaker 3: And then we can just.

Speaker 13: Lock that down.

Speaker 20: Sounds good. And then that's also a very viable lie,

so we'll be able to book.

Speaker 11: Her on it.

Speaker 12: They probably have PC down there from making false misleading

statements just for the car itself because they asked her

where the car was. She said she took a bus

or a train from SeaTac. She did not bring her car.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 20: Did anybody pop a trunk on her car?

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 24: Yeah, I was told they ripped the place apart, and

they're confident they're not in there. So the other thing

is they found the car right down there, and there's

blood in there. Uh, we're going to ask them to

do an exit search in the trunk just to make

sure the kid's not dead or dying in the trunk.

Speaker 15: Right.

Speaker 24: Or bleeding out in there. So, uh, look at that done. Uh,

they have her in custody and she's talking to him.

So that process is starting to, so, uh, but I mean, yeah,

I appreciate you getting some people in and I appreciate

you back at work. Yeah. I, yeah, I would expect

it a bigger response, but yeah.

Speaker 19: I have a Keurig if you want.

Speaker 4: Oh, do you?

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 19: That might be easier. Yeah, just hang, just a second,

I'll grab it. Okay.

Speaker 4: Really much easier.

Speaker 5: They have the little single-serving pet things.

Speaker 7: So is Ariel in daycare or anything?

Speaker 4: He used to go to daycare, but not anymore.

Speaker 33: No?

Speaker 34: He used to go to daycare, but.

Speaker 5: Now you're home with him?

Speaker 10: Nice.

Speaker 19: What's his favorite TV show?

Speaker 34: He likes Pocomelon.

Speaker 4: Oh, yeah? He likes.

Speaker 29: That's a funny one.

Speaker 34: Pocomelon.

Speaker 9: I've been out.

Speaker 7: Of the kids' shows for a while, so I'm sure

they're all new. Barney was the last one I remember.

Speaker 5: This is Adam.

Speaker 19: Let me.

Speaker 32: Let me call you back in just a second, all right?

Speaker 13: Okay, we're mostly concerned about the trunk.

Speaker 5: Yeah, I know.

Speaker 31: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 11: I get it.

Speaker 19: Let me call you back.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 3: Not yet. They didn't want to mess with it.

Speaker 20: I'm kind of thinking that we popped the trunk, right?

Speaker 11: Like, we don't know.

Speaker 20: This kid's hurt and bleeding.

Speaker 11: That's the same question I had about the house. Do

we do a super good search?

Speaker 20: Adam himself said we tore that place apart every.

Speaker 2: Inch looking for him.

Speaker 32: Yeah, and I even.

Speaker 20: Asked, like, hey, Is there anything in there right now

that would help us find her real fast? Because if

there's nothing, so I said, okay, we'll back out and

seal it.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 12: So I'll get a hold of him and see if

they can do an X-ray and search on the car?

Speaker 20: I would say, yeah.

Speaker 26: Like, I think there's reason to look in that trunk

right now because this kid is hurt and.

Speaker 20: There's blood in the car, blood on her.

Speaker 26: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Okay. We're mostly concerned about the trunk at this point, right?

Speaker 7: So, okay.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 7: Okay, thanks.

Speaker 4: Can I chat with you guys for a minute? Is

that okay?

Speaker 2: For sure.

Speaker 4: Do you know the female?

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 4: That left here?

Speaker 13: No.

Speaker 4: Okay, were you here when she showed up here today?

Speaker 5: Yes.

Speaker 2: Okay. I'll be honest with you, yes.

Speaker 4: That's fine.

Speaker 32: Okay.

Speaker 4: I'm not accusing you of anything.

Speaker 11: No, no, no.

Speaker 2: I was just saying I'm going to be honest with you.

Speaker 4: Yeah, did you chat with her or anything?

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 7: She's off.

Speaker 2: You can tell mentally.

Speaker 23: Yeah.

Speaker 7: So it's the same.

Speaker 4: Is this the first time you've seen her here?

Speaker 15: Okay.

Speaker 4: Do you know her name or anything? Janet.

Speaker 8: Janet.

Speaker 1: I know her.

Speaker 4: You know her? Yeah. But you don't know her?

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 2: No.

Speaker 4: And did you chat with her here today?

Speaker 2: Just once, just for like a few seconds.

Speaker 4: That's it. What did you guys chat about?

Speaker 20: Anything?

Speaker 2: Nothing, just like she's been here before and some shit

like that.

Speaker 11: Okay. Nothing?

Speaker 2: Nothing too crazy.

Speaker 4: Strange or anything like that? Mind if I grab your

info from you just that I spoke with you?

Speaker 2: Yeah, you can.

Speaker 4: What's your last name?

Speaker 5: Bryant, B-R-Y-A-N-T.

Speaker 4: What's your first name? J.

Speaker 2: Sean, J-S-H-O-N. J.

Speaker 3: S-H-O-A.

Speaker 4: Sorry, middle initial. T. What's her birthday for you?

Speaker 18: 2-10-94.

Speaker 4: Is there a good phone number to reach you?

Speaker 2: No, I don't.

Speaker 22: We don't have phones here, so you have.

Speaker 2: To contact this man right here.

Speaker 4: No problem. Thank you. I appreciate you. Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 23: You're welcome.

Speaker 4: You know her, so did you chat with her today

or anything?

Speaker 38: Just when I pulled up, I saw her, and I said,

what are you doing back? And she said she's trying

to Get sober again. She cut her hair like Britney Spears.

She had really long hair.

Speaker 4: Oh, she used to have really long hair?

Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 38: And she just kind of looked washed up, you know.

Speaker 2: And I said, well, you know, be good and listen.

Speaker 23: That's what I told her.

Speaker 4: When's the last time you saw her?

Speaker 38: Probably in the fall, last fall.

Speaker 20: She was here.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 23: She's been here like four or five times.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: But not since like last fall?

Speaker 15: No.

Speaker 4: Okay. And are you kind of a... like an employee here,

or you.

Speaker 20: Deal with people here.

Speaker 4: So you haven't seen her since like last fall. You

said her hair's different. You guys talked today at all? Besides,

you said she's back.

Speaker 23: Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 38: When I pulled up, I didn't even get out of

my car, just a little chit-chat. And then she went

and sat down there. And I started the meeting.

Speaker 23: And that was it.

Speaker 4: Was she out here when you pulled up?

Speaker 7: Yeah, she was out here.

Speaker 32: I don't know how she showed up.

Speaker 2: You said that she might have took an Uber or something?

Speaker 7: Yeah, because she.

Speaker 5: She has a blue car, like some kind of Hyundai car.

Speaker 4: Oh, okay.

Speaker 2: Yeah, she came walking up. And then they came. And

then she hit her.

Speaker 32: But you didn't see no car drop her off or anything?

Speaker 2: No, she got dropped off up there.

Speaker 4: When you say they, you mean us?

Speaker 2: Yeah, that came earlier.

Speaker 4: Okay, you saw her, oh yeah, yeah, when they were

up here earlier. She hid from them?

Speaker 5: Hell yeah.

Speaker 4: Okay, where was she hiding?

Speaker 15: Huh?

Speaker 4: Where was she hiding?

Speaker 23: She hid?

Speaker 2: Yeah, she like hid. She like hid right, like she

was standing and then she disappeared.

Speaker 4: Did you see her get dropped off in a car?

Speaker 2: She got dropped off up there.

Speaker 23: But did you see her?

Speaker 4: Did you see it?

Speaker 2: I just, I know it was an Uber.

Speaker 19: Uber.

Speaker 2: They were like, she drove. I said, no, she didn't.

Speaker 20: She got dropped off in the Uber.

Speaker 19: You saw her get out of the car?

Speaker 28: I saw her get dropped off right there by the metal.

Speaker 4: By what kind of car?

Speaker 2: It was a, it could be, it's a Toyota or

a Honda.

Speaker 4: What color was it?

Speaker 2: It was black.

Speaker 4: Black one?

Speaker 11: It was a black car.

Speaker 4: You're positive you saw her get dropped off?

Speaker 2: I'm 100% positive she got dropped off in the black car,

but I didn't think she was coming here until... I

walked in there, and I said, hola, senor.

Speaker 5: I thought she was mad.

Speaker 2: I thought it was a man.

Speaker 4: Do you know, like, what time she got dropped off?

You said it was just before we showed up?

Speaker 2: It was about 45 minutes before.

Speaker 23: Well, I got here at, like, 6.05 or something.

Speaker 32: No, they got here.

Speaker 2: They came earlier.

Speaker 4: Yes, earlier today we did.

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 2: And then I was just like, that's no good. And

then that's when I called you and was like, there's

some chick here. And then, Janet, I don't know. I

don't know what's going on.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 2: Because they popped up.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 2: And when y'all pop up, it's never.

Speaker 4: Going to be me. Where did the black car go?

Speaker 18: I don't know.

Speaker 4: Did you see it, like, turn.

Speaker 3: Around or anything?

Speaker 2: No, it just went straight down the street, that way.

Speaker 4: So you saw it lead back south?

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 31: Okay.

Speaker 4: All right.

Speaker 11: Straight towards the freeway, my best guess.

Speaker 4: Okay. All right. Any other conversation you had with her today?

Speaker 23: No, I'm sorry.

Speaker 7: That's all I got.

Speaker 4: Yeah. That's all.

Speaker 7: Right.

Speaker 9: That's it.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 2: But like I said, I said, hola, senor.

Speaker 5: And they all.

Speaker 2: Started laughing at me. They were like, what? I thought

it was a boy.

Speaker 4: But she just.

Speaker 2: Came walking up, though. It's true. Just whatever. No questions.

Speaker 32: So you're going to have some investigators come and take

a look.

Speaker 23: Around in there or something?

Speaker 4: Yeah. Hopefully it won't be too long. We just got

to get some legalities figured out and make sure we

do things right.

Speaker 3: Of course.

Speaker 5: You got to do your job.

Speaker 4: What's your last name?

Speaker 5: Barasa. B-A-R-A-S-A.

Speaker 4: What's your first name?

Speaker 23: Andres.

Speaker 5: A-N-D-R-E-S.

Speaker 4: Middle initial? I don't know how long.

Speaker 2: And birthday?

Speaker 5: 12287.

Speaker 4: And what's a good number to reach you?

Speaker 8: 360-279.

Speaker 5: On your Macquarie's too?

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Down to earth.

Speaker 4: Down to earth. Do you know all the, or are you,

I have two 10-year-olds here on Macquarie. I'm like, do

you know all of them? Because some people are really

into that.

Speaker 2: Yeah, I used to be.

Speaker 5: They know them all.

Speaker 4: You can just give a birthday, and they're like, oh, yeah,

you're on Macquarie.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 4: Do you know anybody else that had, does she have

any friends around here that are here that know her well,

that she was chatting with?

Speaker 23: She comes from Seattle, I think.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 38: Her mom's dropped her off a bunch of times, and

all I know is she's just kind of problematic.

Speaker 5: You know how like.

Speaker 38: Like when she was here she wouldn't really listen she'd

get arguments with other women that were here um you

know her sponsor would tell her to do things and

she wouldn't do them yeah you know like being here

there's like a set of rules if you want to

be here because it's free we don't charge nobody yeah

stay sober you know stay within the guidelines and it

was just never that way with her so okay just

kind of she was always off the wall kind of

I don't want to say crazy, but maybe mental health issues.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 11: You know?

Speaker 10: Okay.

Speaker 4: Did you see her, like, have anything with her when

she showed up?

Speaker 5: That little purse.

Speaker 4: Just her purse that she took with her?

Speaker 20: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 4: Yeah, but you didn't see her with anything else or

a coat or anything like that that maybe she didn't wear? No. Okay.

Speaker 23: No, she just came with a T-shirt.

Speaker 2: Yeah, she came with a T-shirt.

Speaker 4: Well, she had, like, a zip-up sweatshirt on when she left. Oh,

you guys gave her that?

Speaker 3: We gave her that.

Speaker 5: The other woman gave it to her.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Did you notice anything about her clothing that was.

Speaker 2: No, she just sat down like normal.

Speaker 22: Okay.

Speaker 2: So for me, it's like, well, if you know to

sit down in here, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4: You probably belong here.

Speaker 11: You probably do.

Speaker 5: I've probably been here.

Speaker 3: You know what I mean?

Speaker 2: I was just like, oh, because when you walk in,

I was like, oh, shit.

Speaker 11: Oh, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2: Introduce myself, but that's about it.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 2: No real conversations.

Speaker 5: She just sat.

Speaker 4: Did you see her chatting with anybody? You didn't see

her chat with anybody else?

Speaker 2: No, she kind of stuck to herself.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 2: She's kind of still.

Speaker 11: Okay. Okay.

Speaker 4: And she just had a t-shirt on in her purse.

And it's freezing out here. I'm freezing and I have

a sweatshirt on. Okay, I appreciate your help. Like I said,

we'll try.

Speaker 2: To get this quickly.

Speaker 4: Don't worry about it.

Speaker 5: The guys are watching the movie now.

Speaker 23: They're happy.

Speaker 4: They're like, I'd rather watch the movie. That's awesome. Okay,

thank you. I appreciate you guys.

Speaker 3: Uh, 2-5-6-8.

Speaker 7: I've been okay.

Speaker 5: I came to the group, but I came to the group.

Speaker 4: And they.

Speaker 9: Can't find Ariel, so now I'm here to kind of

make sure Ariel's okay.

Speaker 7: Drops open.

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 29: You go find my stuff?

Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll give you my stuff.

Speaker 35: This lady that's going to take care.

Speaker 34: Of him for me.

Speaker 35: He's not he's he's far from where you're at. He's

far from where you're at. Like an hour or two.

Speaker 4: Just one hour.

Speaker 9: It's one hour from.

Speaker 6: You, but I can text you the address, but the

police is already making sure that he's okay.

Speaker 7: Mom?

Speaker 3: Yes.

Speaker 34: No, actually, that was my brother.

Speaker 19: Oh, brother.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Everybody's just checking on him.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 38: It's okay.

Speaker 23: Good.

Speaker 7: No, that's good. It means you're concerned, right? We're getting there.

Speaker 15: Yeah.

Speaker 24: Yeah, Drake's here on... Drake's here on overtime, right? And

he doesn't want to leave because he wants to help

find his kid. But yeah, if we can start replacing people,

that'd be great. Well, I'll be excited to have you

here with me. I'll be excited when you get here. Okay,

I'll see you in a few minutes. Okay, we'll keep

pushing on here as we can, okay?

Speaker 11: All right, thanks, Jerry.

Speaker 2: Bye.

Speaker 24: Now that's mom, grandma of the baby, and it's mom's mom.

Speaker 26: Yes.

Speaker 11: And she's the one that has the order to take

the kid?

Speaker 29: Not the order, the petition submitted.

Speaker 11: Petition submitted, so.

Speaker 2: She's not having an order.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 2: Saying that she has custody.

Speaker 10: Okay.

Speaker 5: It would be supportive if there was custodial interference with

the mom.

Speaker 8: Not.

Speaker 7: Just submitted though.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 12: So just typing in the street without any avenue or

without anything like that comes back Kent.

Speaker 3: Her car was in Kent.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 3: At one.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Should we have them go by this address?

Speaker 20: Yeah, I would think so, right?

Speaker 32: We'll take any opportunity.

Speaker 3: To check on it.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 3: Let me see if I can.

Speaker 5: Figure out.

Speaker 29: Equipped with sewn-in air tanks.

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 12: So I'm not seeing, I don't know if this is,

it looks like it's maybe an apartment.

Speaker 7: Grandma.

Speaker 24: She's the one that's ordered.

Speaker 20: Not the one that's ordered.

Speaker 3: She does not have anything.

Speaker 12: And the address that we need them to go check.

Not have an actual address, like an apartment number. It

looks like these are maybe condos or something like that.

But we're looking for, I think I might have given

the name previously if you've got it.

Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Yeah, if they can maybe check a couple cars around

there and see.

Speaker 12: If one might be registered that name. She's probably going

to be around the same age as Janet, I would guess.

Speaker 3: She said she's a friend, so I would guess pretty

close to that age.

Speaker 12: So the sergeant down there is checking to do the

exigent search on the car. I've got Ken PD going

to the address down there on 232nd Street. It's an

apartment or a condo, so.

Speaker 3: It's heating up.

Speaker 23: Drink a lot of coffee?

Speaker 4: Sometimes.

Speaker 19: I do.

Speaker 7: Yeah. I probably drink more than I should. How long

do you plan on staying at the... Yeah.

Speaker 34: 12 months.

Speaker 3: Oh, okay.

Speaker 7: That's pretty long. Pretty long stint.

Speaker 34: 12 months, yeah.

Speaker 7: How long were you there last time?

Speaker 4: The same.

Speaker 7: Yeah, another 12 months. Excuse me one second. What's that?

Speaker 4: Missing kid.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 7: Let's see this thing go.

Speaker 28: Did it help last time?

Speaker 4: Oh, heck yeah.

Speaker 23: Did it?

Speaker 36: Yeah, I actually, I've been.

Speaker 34: Sober now for three years. I think I recently relapsed.

Speaker 9: Not that long ago.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Just alcohol.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Drinking.

Speaker 36: I mean, it's socializing drinking, but then it was like,

this is, I'm becoming, like, it's becoming a habit.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 34: So then I realized that.

Speaker 13: It was a problem.

Speaker 11: Uh-huh.

Speaker 34: I did use one last time.

Speaker 7: What do you use when you use?

Speaker 6: So I was originally, so I'm not an alcoholic. I

don't do any drugs.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 29: The only drug that I did ever.

Speaker 34: Use was like meth.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 9: And coke.

Speaker 36: Right yeah so that's the only thing that I used

and when I went to go get help when I

went to get like to rehab I completely sober I

was over like um and then that's why I started

drinking because I'm like I'm not I'm not like I'm

not an alcoholic I just have a substance abuse problem

but um then I started drinking a lot of alcohol

like this is a problem.

Speaker 34: And I used one last time you know what I

need to go.

Speaker 36: Yeah so then I came back to the group.

Speaker 28: I've been clean kind of get a just a fresh

start yeah yeah makes sense I'm going to.

Speaker 36: Ask them to run some plates and see if they

can come up.

Speaker 5: With this name.

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 3: I ran the phone number that she supposedly had.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 11: Did you run it through first tube too? Okay. Go.

Speaker 5: That's the one down.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 11: They have.

Speaker 5: Her.

Speaker 11: They have the car. There's blood in the car, too.

Speaker 2: Oh, there is?

Speaker 24: Yeah, so they're going to do an accident search on

the trunk, make sure he's not bleeding out in there.

They took her. They're starting to do an interview on her.

Speaker 4: So, yeah.

Speaker 11: Looking for a couple of Adderson. Adderson Kent?

Speaker 34: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Adderson Kent, too. They're going to go look right now, too.

Speaker 5: Was the SeaTac one not real, or were you just confused?

Speaker 3: It doesn't verify, but all they gave us was.

So I went through first two and typed in the

Northeast Northwest.

Speaker 32: She got off at 272nd in Kent.

Speaker 3: Oh, she got off at Pack Highway and 272nd.

Speaker 5: Where did we get this address from?

Speaker 11: Supposedly it's.

Speaker 3: She gave it to the deputy.

Speaker 11: No, what's the address, though?

Speaker 12: A friend where she dropped the baby off.

Speaker 13: Where she dropped the baby off?

Speaker 4: Did she say anything about the blood? I don't know.

Speaker 3: They've gone in and.

Speaker 11: Well, she said she took the kid to Providence.

Speaker 3: She said that she took the kid... She told them

that she took the kid to Providence.

Speaker 11: Which she did.

Speaker 3: And treated there.

Speaker 11: She's gone through that.

Speaker 3: The deputy.

Speaker 4: The.

Speaker 3: Do you want this on?

Speaker 11: She hung up, right? Hey, Gianni. Tell her that.

Speaker 3: Jané spoke to me. Mark her back.

Speaker 20: Can we go around here?

Speaker 28: Yeah.

Speaker 38: But don't tell them they're here.

Speaker 20: Right, we're being out of the reported, by the way.

Speaker 26: She speaks English?

Speaker 21: Yeah, she speaks English.

Speaker 2: Brother, are you in?

Speaker 4: Yeah, they're still trying to.

Speaker 23: Figure it out?

Speaker 4: There you go.

Speaker 7: I found a little bit creamer. It's a little hazelnut creamer,

if that's okay.

Speaker 4: No, it's fine.

Speaker 2: Perfect.

Speaker 4: Thank you.

Speaker 19: Yep.

Speaker 11: That's my favorite.

Speaker 7: What time do you have to get up to go

to the hospital?

Speaker 4: At 10.

Speaker 7: Oh, that's not too bad, then. You have to sleep

in a little bit. You have to bring me another

thing back.

Speaker 28: I was going to figure out how to brew that

whole big pot.

Speaker 7: It's one of these fancy... I'll wait for him.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 7: Yes, I'm definitely making one.

Speaker 28: I went to the dentist today, and they said I

couldn't have anything for a while, so now I'm in

the window where I can have one now, and it's time.

Speaker 10: Cool.

Speaker 7: Is she from the Seattle area?

Speaker 19: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 7: How'd you get hooked up with a rehab place down here?

Speaker 36: So I came over here because a friend of mine

told me about it.

Speaker 11: Oh, really?

Speaker 34: Yeah, so that's why I came this way.

Speaker 37: It's, I mean, I've seen a lot of people come

and go from there. I mean, it seems like they

do a really good job there. Don't really get any

trouble from anybody there.

Speaker 28: Every once in a while they call with somebody that's

throwing a fit or doing something that they need, you know, they.

Speaker 7: Need somebody off the property or something, but.

Speaker 8: Oh.

Speaker 7: But not very often.

Speaker 33: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Mm-hmm. Did it seem pretty safe when you were there?

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Yeah. What's up?

Speaker 7: Oh, we're just waiting to find a kid.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Good to see you, man.

Speaker 7: Yeah, you too. Did you have a good weekend? Yeah,

it was not bad.

Speaker 8: Not bad?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Not quick this time, I feel like.

Speaker 7: Yeah, really quick.

Speaker 2: Way too quick.

Speaker 5: Last weekend was quicker because of the training day. Yeah.

Speaker 34: For some reason this weekend.

Speaker 7: You didn't have any issues when you were staying there before?

Seemed like it was pretty decent.

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Do they charge you to go there?

Speaker 10: No.

Speaker 8: No?

Speaker 23: It's free?

Speaker 9: It's free.

Speaker 34: That's the really good thing about it.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 6: It's a free place and you can go and literally,

I mean, you don't need anything but wanting to be

okay and wanting to sober yourself.

Speaker 7: Working on yourself?

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 37: Is it like a faith-based group or is it?

Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Where do they get their funding to keep going?

Speaker 34: I guess just like the people in the group.

Speaker 5: On themselves oh really.

Speaker 28: Or donations or something hello.

Speaker 34: So i'm already here.

Speaker 36: Um and they're looking for um so you you don't

have to worry about anything.

Speaker 6: Because i already told you who he's with okay so

i'll send you the address so are you ready 01-232nd, Seattle, Washington.

It's Alika.

Speaker 4: Bohn. Uh-huh.

Speaker 34: B-O-N-N. Because I've known her for some time. I've known

her for some time now.

Speaker 6: Because I met her when I used to work at T-Mobile.

Speaker 34: She said she used to teach my kids and she gave.

Speaker 4: Me her number.

Speaker 34: I did tell them.

Speaker 9: But the thing is that.

Speaker 6: I wish that my mom would have talked to me

before so I would have left her the kid and

I would have came to come get help.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 34: I hope you guys are okay. I'll talk to you

guys soon.

Speaker 4: Bye.

Speaker 7: Pretty close family? Yeah.

Speaker 35: Yeah.

Speaker 28: Have you eaten anything at all today?

Speaker 3: No?

Speaker 11: Hungry?

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 28: No promises of what I can find, but sometimes there's

some donuts floating around.

Speaker 7: Okay. I'm going to.

Speaker 16: Find something I'll let you.

Speaker 3: Know.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 7: These might be a little bit old, but.

Speaker 5: Thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 7: I'm sure they're still edible.

Speaker 23: You're welcome.

Speaker 7: You're not a diabetic or anything?

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 7: Okay. because they're definitely not sugar-free. Family all live up

there and everything?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Been up there for quite a while.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 5: Actually, I've got to refresh myself.

Speaker 7: Are you born up in that area? I.

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 13: No, from.

Speaker 4: I live in Linwood.

Speaker 19: Oh, okay.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 23: Is that a little south of there?

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 7: I kind of know the area, but I'm not super familiar.

Grandparents used to live up Bothell.

Speaker 2: Moncoteo.

Speaker 7: But I kind of bounced around a little bit. So

did you go to school up there?

Speaker 4: At Lindenwood High. Oh, okay. Who owns this place? You

and your dad?

Speaker 3: My dad.

Speaker 4: Your dad does? Where's he at?

Speaker 3: I think he's at home, though.

Speaker 14: Now.

Speaker 34: Oh, okay.

Speaker 4: Is this like a common area for everybody that comes?

So it's like open?

Speaker 23: Yeah, it's open.

Speaker 4: Would you be okay if I just walked and just

kind of? checked around some of the clothing items and whatever,

just kind of peeked at it.

Speaker 35: Yeah.

Speaker 2: That'd be okay.

Speaker 4: Or do you want to call him first and make

sure it's not?

Speaker 2: No, I think that's fine.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 4: It's not. And then that way I can let you

guys go back in there and I don't think there's

anything in here that we need. So I'm not too

worried about it.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 5: That's fine.

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 4: All right. Thank you. I'll be just a minute. There's

going to be another patrol car roll up. He's just

going to stay here for a minute. So you can

tell him I'm in here if he needs it, but

I'll be right back. Are you good? Did they get

your info from you?

Speaker 20: Yeah.

Speaker 4: He did. The other deputy that called, did he get

your info already? Let me make sure he's got it.

Speaker 2: Yeah, okay.

Speaker 4: What's your last name?

Speaker 2: D-S-D-I-A-Z.

Speaker 4: That's Daniel?

Speaker 19: Yes.

Speaker 4: That's your middle initial? I don't have one.

Speaker 3: And birth date?

Speaker 5: 4-30-94.

Speaker 4: When's your birthday? Good phone number.

Speaker 20: He says my birth date.

Speaker 4: Nice, that's almost your birthday.

Speaker 3: Oh, almost.

Speaker 2: What was the last question?

Speaker 4: What's your phone number? The deputy on the phone kind

of talked to you, but did you see her get here?

Speaker 2: I didn't see her get here, no.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 40: When my dad called me and told me to call

you guys, we were coming back from a job site.

Speaker 4: Okay. What time was that to you?

Speaker 13: When I called.

Speaker 4: Or when your dad got a hold of you?

Speaker 2: Well, I think I talked to some guy here.

Speaker 40: They said that she got here around 4.

Speaker 2: I made the call.

Speaker 13: It was at 536.

Speaker 40: Who said she got here around 4? One of the

guys that was here for the meeting that seen her

get here. But they said that she got here walking.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 4: So somebody saw her walk here?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 4: I was going to ask you. Was there police here

earlier today looking for her?

Speaker 11: There was.

Speaker 40: Somebody told me that they had came here. And I think,

I don't know who talked to him, but somebody talked

to him.

Speaker 11: I don't know how it went.

Speaker 4: Did you chat with her at all while she was here?

Speaker 40: I just said hi to her.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 40: Yeah, she came and she was here now.

Speaker 2: Because she's been here before.

Speaker 5: Okay.

Speaker 2: But, I mean, like I told the other doctor, she left.

Speaker 19: And we told her mom to find her.

Speaker 25: Like, actual, like, a psychiatrist.

Speaker 40: Because her problem is, like, it was beyond just drugs

and alcohol.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 19: So.

Speaker 4: OK. But today when she got here, you didn't really

chat with her, said hi.

Speaker 11: No.

Speaker 4: Did you see her like talking with anybody really?

Speaker 19: No, I didn't.

Speaker 4: No, she's kind of hanging by herself.

Speaker 11: No.

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Because when we got here, they're watching a movie or.

Speaker 40: A football game, something like that, a soccer game. And

so when I came in and started talking to everybody,

I went in and she.

Speaker 3: Was just sitting down. She wasn't talking to everybody.

Speaker 4: OK.

Speaker 2: And then shortly after that, that's when they.

Speaker 32: Started the meeting.

Speaker 19: OK.

Speaker 4: All right.

Speaker 8: Cool.

Speaker 4: Um, you guys can go back in. I'm gonna get

them out of here. Okay. We'll leave.

Speaker 11: Okay, thank you.

Speaker 4: Yeah, if you need anything else, just call into dispatch.

You can call the deputy that called you earlier.

Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, if you guys need anything.

Speaker 4: Thank you very much.

Speaker 5: Yeah, we're way down.

Speaker 22: Yep.

Speaker 3: Kid could be.

Speaker 22: Anywhere.

Speaker 20: There's always a good chance there's a good chance she just, like,

she beat you, right?

Speaker 3: You got hurt.

Speaker 28: Yep.

Speaker 11: Hold on.

Speaker 22: Oh.

Speaker 2: I believe she has an address.

Speaker 4: Cool.

Speaker 7: So go ahead.

Speaker 26: Sorry, we're being audio video recorded because we got body cams.

Go ahead with the address.

Speaker 34: So the address, I have to put it on speaker.

Speaker 4: Two.

Speaker 13: And the name she gave me is Alita Bond.

Speaker 4: B-O-N-N.

Speaker 9: I confirmed the last name spelling.

Speaker 3: B-O-N-N.

Speaker 22: Yes.

Speaker 19: Okay.

Speaker 20: Do you know Alita at all?

Speaker 8: No, but I asked her more questions, and she said

that she used to work with her at T-Mobile, and

when they worked together, she said that she.

Speaker 34: Mentioned to her that she used to take care of kids.

So she gave her her phone number, and that's.

Speaker 13: Where Ariane is.

Speaker 3: How long ago did she tell you this?

Speaker 13: Like, literally, like, not even a minute ago.

Speaker 11: Yeah, we're talking about a little bit ago.

Speaker 39: So I just got off the phone with Sergeant Beck.

He has been in contact with Everett, and they want

an exigent search of the back of this car just

to make sure the child's not located inside.

Speaker 23: And Neiman's calling me right now as well.

Speaker 39: Hey, Fred, we're about to pop or try to pop

the trunk of the Sentra. And I got my camera

going right now. Are you okay with that?

Speaker 3: I don't know yet, so we haven't attempted.

Speaker 11: Are you okay with me doing that?

Speaker 23: Yeah, I think based on what we have, I say

for extra tools, I would pop the trunk. Okay, trunk

is locked. So, is the car locked?

Speaker 3: Car is locked. Do you want me to try and

break into it?

Speaker 5: Yeah, do you want to howl again, or do.

Speaker 22: You want to call the car department?

Speaker 23: I can probably break into it.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 39: I mean, I have a howl again, but I think

I can do it without damaging it.

Speaker 4: I see him.

Speaker 13: I see him and go for it.

Speaker 10: Okay.

Speaker 23: All right.

Speaker 5: I will do that.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 3: See you in a second.

Speaker 19: Yep. Bye.

Speaker 4: All right.

Speaker 7: Yeah.

Speaker 39: Well, please do so just to be a witness to

all this as well.

Speaker 3: You know what I mean?

Speaker 23: That's okay.

Speaker 19: Oops.

Speaker 23: Hold on.

Speaker 2: Have you ever met before?

Speaker 4: I don't know.

Speaker 7: Ah, maybe.

Speaker 4: Oh, yeah?

Speaker 11: I've been with the county for.

Speaker 23: Oh, yeah?

Speaker 3: I'm kidding. Can I get it open enough is really

the question.

Speaker 23: To be able to.

Speaker 11: Can.

Speaker 23: You give me some light on here?

Speaker 3: Just to be able to see where the lock button is.

Just barely not get it. I'm about to lose this

thing in there.

Speaker 11: You need a long gym.

Speaker 23: I know, right?

Speaker 3: I guess she's in there now.

Speaker 10: No, I just, I make sure that they make sure

that it was clear that it was very, very, very

time sensitive.

Speaker 4: Okay, cool.

Speaker 3: And then.

Speaker 19: Tenant or landlord.

Speaker 26: Let's go down to the underground parking lot.

Speaker 23: I don't see the little tab sticking up. It's got

to be probably a switch next to the.

Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a switch right by the handle.

Speaker 15: Looks like the forward nose has to go in.

Speaker 3: I was trying not to do damage to it, but....

Speaker 28: Yeah, might as well.

Speaker 5: Fuck it.

Speaker 17: Did somebody go up to Tanya, though?

Speaker 3: She sent us away.

Speaker 4: Oh, really?

Speaker 5: She said that they got a witness that saw her

show up at the house in nothing but.

Speaker 2: A t-shirt, no pants, no sweatshirt.

Speaker 3: She got real short hair?

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 15: Okay.

Speaker 5: That's the girl that Manny has, right?

Speaker 11: Yeah.

Speaker 2: Yeah.

Speaker 7: Alright.

Speaker 3: You wanna break it?

Speaker 23: Cause she's a holler.

Speaker 11: Hey! How are you, buddy?

Speaker 23: I don't know.

Speaker 19: Nope.

Speaker 23: You might need a key, huh? I'll load that access

to the back.

Speaker 7: There's a car seat.

Speaker 23: Someone got some quick pictures of this. Someone got some?

I guess we have a potty camera for work.

Speaker 22: Kind of where everything is.

Speaker 5: Flashlight.

Speaker 23: Empty.

Speaker 11: We're clear.

Speaker 7: Just leave it like that.

Speaker 23: It's empty?

Speaker 3: Empty. That's good news. Yeah, I was trying to not

set off the alarm.

Speaker 7: Okay.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 23: So I just need one to stay here.

Speaker 5: And.

Speaker 23: Oh, hey, Dave. You want to stay here? I'm the

only one on, so... No. And we'll probably try to

wrap that window. Care center? Yeah, you want to go

to the care center and we'll start knocking on interviews

up there?

Speaker 8: Yep.

Speaker 23: Thank you, dude.

Speaker 16: Alright.

Speaker 11: See you guys.

Speaker 19: Cool.

Speaker 2: Good to see you, buddy.

Speaker 5: A little good story here.

Speaker 4: Come on.

Speaker 2: I just wanted to use my filter tool.

Speaker 3: I was trying to not break all their stuff.

Speaker 23: You tried.

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 23: If it's exudate, it's exudate. I want to get in there.

Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 23: You going to hang out here?

Speaker 11: Whatever you need.

Speaker 23: You just want to hold here until we figure out

what everyone wants to do with this car. I'd like

to cover that window up maybe now. I might have

a roll of cellophane in my car.

Speaker 4: I'll go look.

Speaker 23: Let me check my rig. I don't think I do.

Speaker 5: Yeah, nothing. And I can't get to seeing that.

Speaker 4: What time?

Speaker 3: Sergeant Stewart.

Speaker 25: Hey.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 3: So we are trying to find a missing child.

Speaker 31: Allegedly they're dropped off at the address that we gave.

Speaker 3: Yes, with, uh, should be in Alita. Actually, can you.

Speaker 25: Hold on, let's see if we.

Speaker 3: Can run her in. She popped on that. He's right there.

Does anybody have the spelling of the last name of

the person she's supposed.

Speaker 2: To be with?

Speaker 3: Or the baby's supposed to be with?

Speaker 11: Bonn, or B-O-N-N. B-O-N-N.

Speaker 25: Yeah, can you try to run a last of B-O-N-N?

First of Alita.

Speaker 3: I don't know where the time is.

Speaker 4: A-L-I-T-A.

Speaker 5: You said there was a 10-year-old here. Not here, no.

Speaker 11: Allegedly. We don't know the first name.

Speaker 3: Alita, Alita. It could be Alita or Alita. That's who

allegedly the child was dropped off with. So here we

have giant puddle of blood.

Speaker 26: Mom took off.

Speaker 3: Nobody can find the kid.

Speaker 12: Mom was found in Vancouver with blood on her, blood

in the car. No kid.

Speaker 3: So we just need to see if the kid's there

and make sure that he's okay.

Speaker 21: No idea.

Speaker 3: All right, thank you. Bye.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 3: All right.

Speaker 11: Great.

Speaker 3: Kent's on their way to.

Speaker 32: Check the address.

Speaker 23: I don't have any, so if you want to grab it, Greg,

I think that would probably be.

Speaker 5: The blue stuff?

Speaker 23: Probably be awesome. Just want to let Adam know. Trunk

is clear.

Speaker 4: Anybody clear the.

Speaker 23: I do not, but I don't know who's even paying

attention to this call.

Speaker 20: Anybody do what?

Speaker 2: Say what?

Speaker 23: I don't know who's paying attention to this call. It's

just us and Adam, but.

Speaker 29: I think everybody's paying.

Speaker 13: Attention to this call.

Speaker 25: Okay.

Speaker 23: All right, I'm going to go to the care home

and try to coordinate what we can do there to

help those detectives out.

Speaker 2: The whole issue right now is we just don't know

where the baby is, right?

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 23: There's blood on the crime scene. They're applying for a

search warrant there. And then Adam thought there was blood

on the suspect. Those found down here.

Speaker 4: Oh, really?

Speaker 23: Yeah.

Speaker 5: So, that looks like blood on the shoe console.

Speaker 8: Where?

Speaker 3: On this side?

Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's a tiny little spot right there

by the cup.

Speaker 5: And there might be some on the floor, not right there.

Speaker 23: Adam was saying there's blood on her shoe. Yeah, you

can see something on... by the cup holder there too,

some droplets.

Speaker 2: There's something right there, but that could be too.

Speaker 7: Old red to be black.

Speaker 12: It's right.

Speaker 4: There on the... Oh. It is right there. All right.

Speaker 23: That was good. Here's my worry, though.

Speaker 11: Yeah?

Speaker 12: Are everybody muted, or am I the only one recording.

Speaker 3: At this point?

Speaker 23: I'm recording. I'm going to mute for tactical considerations.

Speaker 36: Audio and video recording so as of right now this

room is audio and camera recording.

Speaker 6: Yeah okay cool yeah I wasn't aware yeah I think

I did.

Speaker 7: Tell you when we first were in here.

Speaker 4: Yeah it has been sorry about that it's okay we

sometimes forget but it rolls all the time so right

um and then because of that too just because when

you're in a room you've probably seen the movies and

and everything I just want to make sure that you

like understand your rights and all of that of course

um so I'll just read that to you it's a

It's Wednesday, March 27, 2024. It's 8.07 p.m. as Detective

Tony Johnson and we're at Clark County Sheriff's Office West Precinct.

We're here with Jeanette. Jeanette, what's your last name?

Speaker 9: Garcia.

Speaker 4: And how do you spell it?

Speaker 9: G-A-R-C-I-A.

Speaker 4: Can you answer that one for me? I appreciate it.

Speaker 9: No worries.

Speaker 4: Sorry to go through the semantics with you. It's when

you're in audio and video recording, and we just want

to make sure you understand. So you have the right

to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against

you in a court of law. You have the right

this time to talk to the lawyer and have him

present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot

afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to

represent before questioning as you wish, and you can decide

at any time to exercise these rights and not answer

any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each

of these rights?

Speaker 19: Yes.

Speaker 4: Can I explain them to you?

Speaker 5: Yes.

Speaker 4: All right, perfect. Thank you. I just want to make sure. Um,

so we checked the address was, uh, 570.

Speaker 34: Southwest and Everett.

Speaker 9: I mean, Everett, Seattle, Seattle, Washington.

Speaker 4: 570. 32nd Avenue.

Speaker 9: And then, um, Seattle, Washington. But yeah, I'm not sure.

Speaker 7: Southwest.

Speaker 3: Southwest.

Speaker 6: Is that the end there?

Speaker 7: That's the end.

Speaker 9: That was the end of it.

Speaker 26: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Addresses in every town are different. What if I showed

you a map?

Speaker 17: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Could you show me from the map?

Speaker 18: Yeah, sure.

Speaker 5: Sure.

Speaker 4: Let me see if I can just Google that one

and see where it comes up to.

Speaker 11: Two.

Speaker 9: Has she not answered, you guys?

Speaker 3: Alisa?

Speaker 4: The phone number doesn't go.

Speaker 9: Or not Alisa. Anita.

Speaker 4: Anita. Who's Alisa? I mispronounced her name. Oh, okay.

Speaker 8: No.

Speaker 4: So it's Anita? Anita.

Speaker 9: If she hasn't answered, you guys, then I'm concerned because.

Speaker 34: Could it be southeast? It's definitely southwest.

Speaker 4: Definitely southwest.

Speaker 7: When I called that number, I just went to a busy.

So maybe she was on the phone.

Speaker 34: Maybe it's... I don't think it's southwest. I think it's

just Avenue.

Speaker 9: Washington.

Speaker 4: And you're sure it's Seattle? It's not like one of

the other little towns around there?

Speaker 9: No, it's Seattle for sure.

Speaker 4: Could it be Issaquah?

Speaker 15: No.

Speaker 4: It's just like, even when I Google that address, it

takes me to a southeast in Issaquah off of I-90.

But that's not where it is. You said it's in Seattle,

which is um, over here. Would you, would you know

where it is from a map? Like looking at a map?

I guess. Um, are you pretty familiar with the Seattle area?

Speaker 9: A little bit.

Speaker 4: Not so much.

Speaker 3: Uh, we left ever, right?

Speaker 9: I left the Everett and you.

Speaker 7: Jump on I-5 then.

Speaker 4: And then on I-5.

Speaker 7: Yeah.

Speaker 6: Straight down south past downtown I don't know if it

could be these apartments that's a different one but it

looks similar to this one so it's apartments where she lives?

Speaker 4: They're apartments and you don't remember the name?

Speaker 36: I don't know the unit number or the apartment number

what floor is it on?

Speaker 4: Probably floor 4 is that the top level or is

there more than that?

Speaker 34: No There's no fourth floor, I'm sorry.

Speaker 29: It's only.

Speaker 9: The second floor.

Speaker 4: Second floor. And how many floors are at the apartments?

I think only three. Is there like three? So she's

in the center?

Speaker 9: Yeah, there's three.

Speaker 4: And she's in the center on the second floor? How

long has she lived there? How long have you known

her to live there?

Speaker 9: I've known her for some time. Again, I met her

at my job, so... Oh, okay. I think... When I

met her, she seemed like a really nice person.

Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 9: But I don't know her like, oh, we're friends, this

and that.

Speaker 4: Where were you working when you met her?

Speaker 2: T-Mobile.

Speaker 4: Where at?

Speaker 9: In Everett. And I met her.

Speaker 34: She seemed super sweet.

Speaker 6: And she was like, I take care of kids. So

she gave me her number. And I was like, okay,

I'm not going to need this anytime soon. But, you know,

I got kicked out of my parents' house.

Speaker 34: And I had my baby.

Speaker 9: And I was like, you know what? I'm not doing

anything good. I need to go back to rehab.

Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 9: I asked her to watch my kid.

Speaker 6: My mom wasn't answering me for like 12 hours or so.

Speaker 34: So 12, 24 hours.

Speaker 9: I was like, no, I'm done. So I came back

to the rehab.

Speaker 4: And yeah, that's it. Um, you said you met her

at T-Mobile in Everett. How long ago?

Speaker 9: Like two years ago.

Speaker 4: Okay. And she's said she loves watching kids or she's

good at watching.

Speaker 28: Yeah.

Speaker 9: She's, she actually like has her license to take care

of children.

Speaker 26: Oh yeah.

Speaker 4: How old is she?

Speaker 9: She's an older lady. I don't know how old she is.

Speaker 34: Not too old.

Speaker 4: I don't know how old.

Speaker 9: Maybe like 50?

Speaker 4: 50-ish? 51, 52. Is she white, black, Asian, Hispanic?

Speaker 9: She's Hispanic.

Speaker 4: Do you know about how tall she is?

Speaker 9: No, I don't know.

Speaker 4: Compared to you, is she taller or shorter than you?

Speaker 9: She's like my height, maybe a little bit shorter.

Speaker 4: How tall are you? 5'4.

Speaker 9: About 5'4?

Speaker 4: She's around there, maybe a little shorter.

Speaker 9: Like 5'3.

Speaker 13: Okay.

Speaker 4: Is she slim or heavier?

Speaker 34: She's a little bit.

Speaker 5: Like me.

Speaker 4: Has like a build like you?

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: What about her hair color?

Speaker 3: Black.

Speaker 33: Black.

Speaker 4: Is it long, short?

Speaker 20: Right here.

Speaker 4: And past her shoulders?

Speaker 19: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 8: Okay.

Speaker 4: Does she wear like straight or wavy?

Speaker 34: Kind of wavy hair.

Speaker 20: It's beautiful.

Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.

Speaker 9: I bet it is.

Speaker 4: Nice thick wavy black hair.

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Does she wear glasses or anything? She does wear glasses.

Does she wear them all the time or?

Speaker 9: All the time.

Speaker 4: All the time she wears glasses. Okay. Any tattoos or

anything you know of that she has? Mm-mm.

Speaker 31: Okay.

Speaker 4: Or any like unique piercings or something like a nose

ring or something like that?

Speaker 5: No.

Speaker 8: Okay. Okay.

Speaker 4: You've known her for a couple years. You met her

at T-Mobile in Everett. How long did you work with

her at T-Mobile?

Speaker 9: She was my client. She would come see me every

once in a while.

Speaker 28: Okay.

Speaker 4: So you didn't work with her there. You met her

at work?

Speaker 9: I met her at work.

Speaker 11: Okay.

Speaker 4: But she didn't work there?

Speaker 19: Yeah.

Speaker 4: Okay. Sorry, I misunderstood you.

Speaker 9: It's okay.

Speaker 4: I thought that she worked there.

Speaker 26: It's okay.

Speaker 4: So that's nice. She would come in and you got

to know her? Mm-hmm. That's what I miss about some

jobs is like you get your regular customers and they

come in and it's good to know them and stuff. Um,

and then you needed her today.

Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 4: And so you used, how long has she been out

of Everett? Do you know? Cause she used to come

see you in Everett at that store.

Speaker 9: It's been some time.

Speaker 34: It's been, cause I stopped working in.

Speaker 2: August.

Speaker 17: Okay.

Speaker 4: And it's March now.

Speaker 19: Mm-hmm.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 9: Yeah, that's the same time I was supposed to put

my son in school.

Speaker 4: Oh.

Speaker 3: That's it, yeah.

Speaker 9: August, September, I was supposed to enroll him in kindergarten.

Speaker 29: Yeah.

Speaker 11: But.

Speaker 4: Yeah, missed the deadline. And then all the schools are

like full, huh? Yeah. It's hard to get in.

Speaker 39: Is that when you're saying you came down and checked

yourself into the rehab here?

Speaker 9: Back here three months, and then I left. And I

should have never left. It was the worst mistake.

Speaker 4: Where was your son when you were at this? With

my mom.

Speaker 2: Okay.

Speaker 4: And that was back in, like, August time when.

So then you went back after three months. So is that, like,

Christmas time or before?

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 8: Right.

Speaker 6: So I think it was, like, I left from here

Christmas time, yeah.

Speaker 4: Okay. All right. So you left your son there with

Anita in Seattle area. And you can't tell me anything

else because this is... This is getting pressing to where

I want to make sure that we find your son.

And it's concerning me. I'm a mom too. I'm a five-year-old.

So it's like, you know, I'm concerned. You've got a

four-year-old little boy.

Speaker 34: Five-year-old as well.

Speaker 4: Yes, five. He's supposed to be in kindergarten. Mine's in kindergarten. Yeah.

Speaker 9: Mine isn't. But yes, I'm concerned as well because that's

where he should be right now.

Speaker 6: If he's not there, then I don't know what else

to tell you. And I wouldn't know where else he

would be.

Speaker 9: So that's the problem. Because I'm also concerned.

Speaker 22: Yeah.

Speaker 4: And you left your car in Seattle.

Speaker 9: I left my car in Seattle. I came in a

bus from Seattle.

Speaker 4: Okay. How many buses did it take to get down?

Speaker 6: Only one bus to get here. And then I walked

the rest of the way. Because I didn't know where

else to go.

Speaker 29: So I was like, I'm just going to walk.

Speaker 4: Where did the bus drop you off in relation to

that house where you were at? Where does it drop

you off? At the street.

Speaker 8: Here?

Speaker 13: Yeah.

Speaker 4: When you went to the house where we talked to

you at the facility?

Speaker 34: Off of the freeway where the gas. Off of the freeway?

Speaker 8: Yeah.

Speaker 9: Um, one of the things, one of the bus stops

right here. And I had to walk the rest of

the way up.

Speaker 4: Okay.

Speaker 9: Yeah.

Speaker 4: So there's no reason that your car should be down here?

Speaker 3: No.

Speaker 4: What if it is? Then I have no idea.

Speaker 3: Okay.

Speaker 11: Um.

Speaker 34: I wouldn't know what to tell you guys.

Speaker 4: Jeanette, I'm concerned about your son.

Speaker 13: Me too.

Speaker 4: I'm very concerned about your son. You tell me he

had an injury this morning that was enough that he

had a significant amount of blood. You have it on

your shoes. You have it on your shirt, maybe it

looks like.

Speaker 3: Yes.

Speaker 4: Yeah, that concerns me. I need to know what's going on.

I know better than anybody that kids get into things.

They fall off things.

Speaker 9: They fall off things.

Speaker 4: They hurt themselves. Anything that can hurt them, they go towards.

I get that, and I know that that happens. If

something happens to him, we need to know.

Speaker 9: OK.

Speaker 1: Officers had Janet in custody while continuing to search for Ariel.
