Speaker 1: Well, it's up everybody. Corey used buddy history. So we're

gonna continue on with this nineteen fifty nine defectors file.

This comes from the John Armstrong collection. And so the

next couple of things we're going to go through look

like a bunch of email communications between I'm assuming John

and someone named James k Olmsted referencing a newsgroup Altconspiracy

dot JFK September ninety nine. All right, So this first

one says, CIA study entitled the Defector Study sent to

HSCA is one hundred and fourteen page study of the

individuals eleven defectors who defected to the USSR between nineteen

fifty eight and nineteen sixty four by the CIA. In

my opinion, they made a serious mistake in sending this

study to the HSCA, since they provided more information to

the HSCA than they provided to the Warrant Commission. HSCA

one eight zero got a bunch of numbers there. CIA

segregated collection says, I've spent a great deal of time

in my research concerning the defection of Lee Harvey Oswald

in the comparison of his defection to those of others

mentioned in the Warren Commission report. Who are Webster, por

Trulli and Richard Delhi. My main interests dealt with the

October twenty fifth, nineteen sixty requests from the State Department

to the CIA for information on the thirteen individuals they

considered defectors. I was interested to see if there was

information on several others who defected to the USSR and

or Cuba. Who are William Morgan, Robert John Gentile, Lewis

Henry Jones, and Robert Edward Webster. All four were from Ohio,

and only Webster was in the study. That's interesting, as

it turns out, the study provided details on an individual

named Joseph du Consic dut Knicz. This file was not

sent to Warrant Commission or the SD because quote the

two individuals whose name appeared on the computer listing but

have been excluded because they were not born within the

United States. Joseph Dukannik data birth six, nine twenty six,

born in Poland and then Vladimir Slovotia data birth one,

seventeen twenty seven, born Redcomine, USSR. Both files were included

in the study sent to the HSCA. I believe that

the general research community has little or no information on Dukancik. Okay,

it's dut k and Icz, however, you spell that who

defected in May of nineteen sixty. But the case study

is important for several reasons which I feel the research

community should be aware of. I do not support the

two Oswald's considerations. However, Dukeancik may may be connected as

a source for consideration. I would like to get to

the bottom of any connection, especially any Ohio connection, if

any Now this time, I have no evidence of an

Ohio connection, but would like to know if one exists.

Claims were made that the birth Oswald at one time

lived in Akron, Ohio. What is that meant? Claims were

made that the birth Oswald at one time lived in Akron,

Ohio the berth Oswald, I don't know what he's saying there.

If anyone who supports the to Oswald's theory would like

to share information concerning du Kencik, I would be happy

to do so. I'm only interested in Duke Kencic since

the case is as unique as Oswald's. I'm not interested

in debate or argument on the to Oswald theory, only

the sharing of facts I will post my findings on

Dukencik case shortly. However, due to the controversy in this case,

I first want to exchange considerations with anyone who has

studied the case. If I post on this case now,

the thread will go into areas I do not want

to go at this time, even if my wife found

the case interesting to consider. If you have studied the

Dukantic case defection case, please email me as soon as possible.

only two minor facts of interest not covered by the

CIA report. Okay, Next one subject Recia defector study to Oswald's.

I don't see it from here. I'm assuming it's the

same person, James Olmsted says. Please ail me at email

of work on two Lee Harvey Oswald's. The Ohio connection

is very suspicious. Would like to talk with you also

about North Dakota and Ukraine connection. We know that several

Oswald families emigrated from the Ukraine to North Dakota, and

the first man to meet Lee Harvey Oswald in US

was spas Raiken spas Rii ki N, a Ukrainian agent

of some sort. And the man who spent much time

with Marina after the shooting was a Ukrainian defector and

a CIA agent. We are beginning to pierce the veil

around the CIA operation for which the second Oswald persona

was created. Remember that Dick Helms said that the public

will never know who Lee Harvey Oswald was or what

he represented. I think Helm's hubris was his undoing. We

certainly will know someday what Lee Harvey Oswald represented. Okay,

continuing on same thing, James k Olmstead from September ninety nine.

The following confirms several points of conflict in the defection

study that I did for my various film scripts dealing

with the history of Lee Harvey Oswald's defection. The case

of Joseph Duke Kencick was not compared to the defection

of Lee Harvey Oswald by the Warrant Commissioner HSCA, although

the comparison was done by the CIA for the us

DS and as a direct result of the defection of

Lee Harvey Oswald. Chances are if I had this CIA

study several years ago, I would have supported a false

Oswald in the USSR, or at least a Soviet Oswald

as being much more than speculation based on unknown factors. Today,

there are other considerations that must be addressed by this

CIA study. At first, I was planning on posting only

fifteen points of comparison, but I expanded the study to

twenty two. There are more, but I reserve the right

to withhold the others at this time since they deal

more with speculation than facts. General outline of comparisons between

two defectors, Lee Harvey Oswald and Joseph Dukencik one Lee RV.

Oswald was in the Marine Corps and Joseph du Kancik

was in the US Army. It's all done with initials Hero,

so I'm going to the initials instead of the full names.

Oswald's most logical defection planning starting point August fifty eight

in Japan, JD's defection planning start nineteen fifty eight Germany,

dates not present in the CIA case study. Three. Oswald's

defection planning possible result of military legal action security clearance

investigation after court martial, JD's defection planning result of military

legal action investigation of Soviet network in Germany. Four Oswald

had military separation conflicts and JD had military separation conflicts.

Five Oswald had Marine Corps commitment and JD had an

army commitment. Oswald's trip to the USSR round about France,

England and Finland, JD's trip to the USSR roundabout Vienna, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine,

thee Harvey, Oswald's entral entry VISA Soviet assisted, JD's and

VISA Soviet assisted. Oswald had KGB interview in Moscow. JD

had KGB interview in Moscow. Oswald showed intent to commit

a disloyal act. JD showed intent to commit a disloyal act.

Oswald's acceptance was sponsored by Soviet government officials. JD's acceptance

was sponsored by Soviet government officials. Oswald's actions followed by KGB,

JD's actions followed by KGB Oswald. FBI CIA held no

interest stance on defection JD. FBI CIA held no interest

stance on defection. Oswald was assisted by the Red Cross.

JD was assisted by the Red Cross. Oswald was sent

to work in a radio factory in Minsk. JD was

sent to work in a radio factory in Levov. Oswald

made tame comments to press. JD made hard comments to press.

Oswald was given a dishonorable discharge based on press statements.

JD was given an undesirable discharge awall collaborating, et cetera.

Oswald committed acts directly connected with national security. JD committed

acts directly connected with national security. Oswald makes no follow

through efforts to renounce citizenship. JD makes no effort to

renounce citizenship. Oswald makes effort to return to US through

US embassy February sixty one. J D and his wife

make effort to return to US through embassy March sixty one.

Oswald and his wife faced many problems with effort to

return to US. JD's wife had many problems with effort

to return to US. To additional considerations of comparison, Oswald

was in direct contact with US officials twenty second November

nineteen sixty three. JD was subject of interest by us

DS on twenty second November nineteen sixty three, last known

date of us DS effort to contact him. Oswald was

killed in custody under unusual conditions on November twenty fourth,

sixty three. JD died on or about November twenty fourth,

nineteen sixty three, in Soviet control under unusual conditions. Hmm,

that's interesting. That's really interesting. Just to just to reiterate,

the person's name is Joseph do can't chick d U,

t KA, n I c Z. And it's these last

two that really jump out off the page to me.

Oswald was killed in custody under unusual conditions on November

twenty four to sixty three, and JD died honor about

November twenty four to sixty three in Soviet control under

unusual conditions. Very very interesting, all right. So the next

page just has some weird like looks like a math equations,

like somebody was doing some doing a list, all right.

Next page is on Robert Webster and Lee Harvey Oswald

Navy Department Report two to two five seven. This looks

like a naval intelligence document November fourth, fifty nine. Yep,

this is from November fifty nine. Good. This early synopsis

mister discharge from US Navy in nineteen fifty one has

no present naval status. Oswald is a private first class

inactive Marine Corps Reserve with obligated service until eighth of

December sixty two. Oswald attended Aircraft Control and Morning Operator

course in fifty seven. Served with Marine Air Control squadrons

in Japan and Taiwan with duties involving ground control intercept.

Job description code indicates he is aviation electronics operator. No

record of clearance at H two Marine Corps, but possibility

exists he may have had access to confidential info. Oswald's

service number one six five three two three zero, date

of birth October eighteen thirty nine at NL. Released to

inactive duty September eleventh, fifty nine. Home of record forty

nine thirty six. Collinwood fort Worth has brother Edward pick

on active duty in the Air Force. Requests significant developments

in view of continuing interest of HQ Marine Corps and

US intelligence agencies and that's Field Inspection Security Division, Intelligence

Branch must have been off of Naval Intelligence all right

next one Oswald, Lee Harvey and Webster Robert Edward eleven

three point fifty nine Navy Department more O and I

Attention invited two a M E MB Moscow Dispatches two

three four dated second November and two to four dated

twenty sixth October, concerning the renunciation of US citizenship and

requests for Soviet citizenship by Lee Harvey Oswald, former Marine

and Robert Edward Webster, former Navy. Oswald stated he was

a radar operator in the Marine Corps and has offered

a furner Soviet's info he possessed on US radar. All right,

next page. Can't tell what this is. It looks like

a teletype, but it's probably you know, it's FBI Inter

Office Memo Assassination President Kennedy Ree Dallas Tell Pittsburgh, November

twenty four, last and Pittsburgh Tell to Dallas, No. Two

twenty five. Instant person referred to by unknown Ohio relative

of anonymous tipster to Frank Miller, Detroit Free Press appears

not to be Oswald, but Robert Edward Webster, who did

leave wife and two children in Zenellope, Zenell What the fuck? Zelenople,

Pennsylvania when he went to Russia in nineteen fifty nine.

Webster returned from Russia May twenty, nineteen sixty two, and

is now employed at Wellsville, Ohio. Zelenople, Pennsylvania, PD have

no indication Oswald ever resided there. No further investigation will

be conducted concerning wife and children of Oswald at Zelenople,

pending additional leads from Dallas Corpse Please line five where

never mind all right? Next one Select Committee on Assassinations

HSCAIGHT document on Robert Webster dated three, sixteen seventy eight,

Holiday Inn Address, Ellsworth, Maine. On three sixteen eighteen, staff

investigator Leap interviewed Robert E. Webster at the Holiday Inn

elsewhere Worth, Maine relative to his defection. Okay, that date

must be wrong because it says three sixteen eighteen. It

must be seventy eight relative to his defection of Russia

July fifty nine and is returned to the US and

sixty two. So just like a balcony fifty nine to

sixty two, just like Oswald fifty nine to sixty two.

Webster was working for the Rand Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio

at the time of his defection. He was sent to

Moscow by the Rands Corporation to prepare an exhibit for

the firm, which would be displayed at the International Trade Fair.

Webster made three trips to Russia. He defected on the

third trip. All the necessary arrangements with Russian officials were

made during his second trip. Webster's defection was on his

own initiative and was not related to political ideology. He

fell in love with the Russian girl, an interpreter at

the hotel in which he was staying. Webster decided he

wanted to remain with Verra last name redacted, and made

inquiry with Russian officials at the International Fair as to

whether it would be possible for him to remain in Russia.

The fair officials relayed Webster's request of the proper government

officials could not remember in names. The decision was made

that Webster could remain with limitations. Webster knew this before

he returned to the US from his second trip. Webster's

first two trips were in preparation for the fair. The

third trip was to run the Rand Corporation exhibit at

the fair. The Russian government officials encouraged Webster to defect

during the fair. Webster was of the opinion that the

motive for the Russian encouragement was his expertise in the

field of plastics utilization. Webster said the US was ten

years ahead of the Russians at the time. The Russian

officials suggested that Webster leave a note for his American

partner to the effect that Webster was going on a

vacation for a few days. In reality, Webster was only

moved to another hotel along with his girlfriend. This move

was to delay the US a few days in determining

that Webster had defected. The Russians decided that Webster should

be located in Leningrad. Webster was given a position in

a plastic research institution, and he also worked part time

in a factory. His pay was above normal for the

other words workers. He was also provided an apartment for

Vera and himself. Most Russians have to wait several years

to get a desirable apartment. They also provided Vera with

a good position in Leningrad. They also provided Webster with

a one month of vacation at a resort on the

Black Sea. At no time did anyone question Webster relative

to intelligence matters. On one occasion, Webster was asked by

a government official why he did not marry Vera. Webster

explained that he could not as he was already married.

The subject was never discussed again. At no time was

he ever pressured about anything, He was not subjected to

Communist doctrine, or was he asked about his political views.

That's fucking weird, isn't it. It's almost like the Russians. Okay,

it almost seems to me like the intelligence guys send

our fucking people over there, and despite the bullshit stories,

the fucking Russians know who's intelligence and who's just a dummy. Right.

If you got half, if you got your shit together

and you're fucking from the military and you work for

a corporation like RAND which has CIA connections, they fucking

know your goddamn intelligence. Okay, so they're not stupid. Okay,

So all these all the fuckers who went over there,

the fucking KGB probably was like, sure, come on in,

come on in, because at some point they figure they're

going to tip their hand, they'll screw up, and they'll

know they'll get something out of it, right, and so

you never know. The Americans, I think, just sent them

over there just to spin their gears, just to spin

the Russians gears. So it's really interesting. There was no

reason to be contacted by the KGB. The government officials

that aided Webster, in his defection, had his entire story.

He possessed no knowledge of value to the KGB. His

expertise was in the field of plastic utilization. Webster requested

and received Russian citizenship. He was not knowledgeable of other defectors.

He did not at that time know the name Oswald.

Webster decided to return to the US after learning that

his mother had a nervous breakdown because of his defection.

He received his information via a letter from his father

in May of nineteen sixty. He decided that his actions

were ruining too many people's lives. He discussed the issue

with Vera, who did not try to pressure him to stay,

even though they had a baby daughter. Webster stated via

understood Webster made application with the Foreign Minister to leave Russia.

The application was denied and he was notified he would

have to wait one year to resubmit his exit visa.

He waited one year and again submitted his request to

leave and stated his reasons for the request. At no

time did he misrepresent to the Russians the motives for

his actions. During the year he waited to reapply. His

father and former employer, mister Rand, assisted Webster on his

effort to return through the State Department, Webster contacted the

American Embassy during a trip to Moscow for the purpose

of watching a parade into Moscow Square. He talked to

Consul Snyder. Arrangements were made with the State Department for

Webster return to the US if he was allowed to

leave Russia as a Russian alien. The Russian government approved

Webster's second request, and he departed Russia in May of

sixty two. He flew from Moscow to Paris to New York.

At New York, a U. S. Marshal served a subpoena

on Webster for an appearance before the Senate at some

future date. At a later date he could not remember

the date. Webster did appear before the Senate in a

closed session and answered questions relative to his defection and

his desire to regain US citizenship. Webster obtained US citizenship

in nineteen sixty five, short time after his return. He

was first questioned at his home in Zealenable, Pennsylvania by

agents of the FBI. He was also brief two times

by CIA. The last debriefing by CIA was in a

Washington hotel and lasted approximately a week. CIA's main interest

was in Russian personnel. They had photographs of Russians whom

they wished to know if he had talked with. Webster

signed a CIA secrecy oath not to reveal the substance

of the CIA debriefing. Webster agreed to assist the CIA

in the future if he was ever contacted by the KGB.

He was, never, to his knowledge, contacted. Digressing to Webster's

contact with the US Embassy in Moscow, Webster stated it

was quite a delay for the US consul in Moscow,

Snyder to obtain State Department approval for him to return

to the US as a Russian alien. All right. Next

one DOJFBI document title Lee Harvey Oswald internal security are

stands for restricted synopsis. Robert Edward Webster determined to be

at work on eleven, twenty two sixty three. No mention

of Lee Harvey Oswald in Webster's i INS file. Sam

Frank advised that Frank that a friend of his had

a photograph of himself, a friend and a person resembling

Oswald taken in Japan. Edgar Hess does not know if

any of the performers at GE Louisville worked at Jack

Ruby's Carousel Club, Dallas. Confidential sources Cleveland area unable to

furnish any information details Robert Edward Webster communication from Washington

Field Office on November twenty third, sixty three advised that

information from Immigration and Naturalization Services personnel in Washington, d C.

Suggests that possibility that Lee Harvey Oswald, principal suspect in

the assassination, may have been known by Robert Webster as

their acts in returning to the United States from the

USSR paralleled in June of nineteen sixty two. Information at

Washington Field Office is that as of May of eighth

of nineteen sixty three, Webster resided at the Inn City Motel,

Main Street, Wellsville, Ohio and employed by the Westco Manufacturing Company.

According to this information, Webster was born October twenty third,

nineteen twenty eight, at Tiffin, Ohio, and his ions file

is located at the i S office in Cleveland, Ohio.

On November twenty third, nineteen sixty three, Assistant Director for

Investigations i INS Richard G. Hill advised SA Milton P.

Manned M ANDT that a review of Robert Webster's file

number blah blah blah did not reveal any mention of

Lee Harvey Oswald. Webster was interrogated bys at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

in May of nineteen sixty three and stated that he

had never been affiliated with any communist organizations in the

USSR or the United States. Webster further advised in HISS

interview that he was asked to become a member of

the trade union in the USSR, but refused and joined

no organizations while living in the USSR. Webster was examined

and admitted as an alien on June twenty seventh, nineteen

sixty three, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Captain Peter trainor Wellsville, Ohio

Police Department advised SA James W. DeGarmo that he personally

viewed Webster in Wellsville, Ohio on November twenty third, sixty three.

Trainer also advised that Webster was working at Wesco Manufacturing

Company every day of the week, including November twenty second,

sixty three. Lee Harvey Oswald this is a subheading. On

November twenty ninth, sixty three, at ten thirty a M.

Leo Cappuccini, Clyde, Ohio telephonically contacted SA Morris E. Eller

to advise that his wife had learned from her sister,

Evelyn Nazanti in Aso Nti, who resides on Remington Avenue

in Sandusky, Ohio, that a person whose name is unknown

and who was a friend of Sam Frank's Bellevue, Ohio,

had a picture of a photograph of Lee Oswald and

Jack Ruby drinking together. Cappuccini stated that he did not

know the exact address of Franks, but he is the

son of Basil and Jeanette Franks and is a white

male about twenty five years of age, single and apparently

lives with his parents. He possibly is employed at the

Whirlpool Corporation Clyde, Ohio. All Right, looks like we're at

a new set of documents. Looks like a FBI document.

On November twenty fourth, sixty three, Frank Miller of the

Detroit Free Press, a daily newspaper in Detroit, Michigan, advised

that an unidentified Detroit woman contacted him and stated that

a relative of hers in Ohio advised that Lee h

Oswald was reported to have an American born wife and

two children living in Zelenopol z E l I E

n O p l E, Pennsylvania, when he left for Russia.

Let me reread that an unidentified Detroit woman contacted him

and stated that a relative of hers and Ohio advised

that Lee Harvey Oswald was reported to have an America

and born wife and two children living in Zelenopol, Pennsylvania

when he left for Russia. Zelenopole, Pennsylvania telephone directories as

of November twenty fifth, sixty three failed to reflect a

listing for an Oswald or his wife. On November twenty fifth,

sixty three, Chief of Police C. R. Evans advised SA

Hobart love It that he had no information that Oswald

had ever lived in Zelenopowl, Pennsylvania or Zealeinople. I don't

know how to fucking pronounce that. You know what I'm

talking about. It is noted that Robert Webster, a plastics

technician formerly of Zelenople, Pennsylvania, and a former employee of

the Rand Development Corporation, did leave his wife, Martha and

two children in Zelenopowl, Pennsylvania when he went to Russia

in fifty nine. Webster renounced as US citizenship, remained in

Russia approximately three years, and returned to the United States

in May of sixty two, Webster was presently employed at

the Westco Manufacturing Company, Wellsville, Ohio. On November twenty third,

sixty three, Captain Peter Trainor Wellsville, Ohio Police Department, advised

that he personally observed Webster at work that day and

verified that Webster was working at the plant on November

twenty second, sixty three. On November twenty sixth sixty three,

Buster D. Mitchell, r. D. Number five, Charleston, West Virginia

advised SA Leon Ross Graybin that he met Leslie Hollinsworth

from Dallas, Texas on the street in Charleston, West Virginia

on November eighteenth or nineteenth, nineteen sixty three, and during

the conversation, Hollinsworth made the statement, You're going to hear

something soon that is really going to shock the country.

Mitchell claims Hollingworth made no further comment about the matter

and he did not think any more about the statement

until hearing of the President's assassination in Dallas. Mitchell advised

Hollinsworth as his fourth cousin and has not seen Hollinsworth

since about nineteen forty. Just after Hollinsworth has been released

from prison, Mitchell stated that he did not know Hollinsworth's address,

employment activity, or activity in Dallas. Mitchell also stated he

did not know the present whereabouts of Hollandsworth, but assumed

he had returned to Dallas, Texas. Mitchell described Hollinsworth as

a white male age fifty nine, born in West Virginia

five ten one seventy five and a short nose. All right,

all right, Next one looks like another either FBI or CIA,

can't really tell, Probably CIA because of the font confidential

list of American defectors. Number one Morris and Molly Bloch

living in the USSR and possibly Communists China since the

fall of fifty nine. What was going on in fifty nine?

And all these people had to defect in fifty nine.

David Dubois living in Peeping since May sixty, but may

may have returned to the US. Sergeant Joseph DUKEENTCIK US

Army defected to East German forces about the spring of

nineteen sixty. Sergeant Ernie Fletcher US Army defected to East

German forces in June of fifty nine, stated that he

wished to remain in East Germany. At a confrontation held

on August fifth, nineteen fifty nine. Sergeant first name unknown, Jones,

US Air Force defected mid May nineteen sixty to East

German Forces. Air Intelligence Information Report number blah blah blah,

August ninth of sixty. William Martin NSA employee Bernon Mitchell

NSA employee Lee Harvey Oswald listed as tourist Libero Richard

Delhi tourist. Private Vladimir Slaboda US Army defected to East

German forces in the spring of nineteen sixty. Robert Edward Webster,

tourist see New York Times article of October twentieth fifty nine.

Bruce Frederick Davis US Army defected the East German Forces

August nineteenth of sixty. Embassy Moscow Telegram ten thirty two

of October twenty second sixty. All right, next one another confidential.

This looks like a CIA document, Brister Richard Bissel, the

Honor Hugh S. Cumming, Junior Director of Intelligence and Research, Washington,

Department of State, Washington d C. Dear Hugh, I have

your letter of twenty five October nineteen sixty requesting certain

information concerning Americans in block countries who might be called defectors.

Our files are being searched for this information that you desire,

and you will be hearing further from me in a

few days. It's from Richard Bissell umm all right, memorandum

for the direct Deputy Director of Plans subject letter from

Hugh Cumming, transmitted for your signature, as proposed to reply

to the October twenty fifth letter of nineteen sixty from

Hugh Comming, Juniors, Department of State, in which mister Cumming

requested information concerning Americans living in block countries who might

be called defectors. Defectors isn't quotes, which tells me they

probably had like ten different classifications for people who did

the same shit. All right, the Honorable Hugh Cummings. Dear Hugh,

please refer to your letter twenty five October sixty and

my reply of three November, in which you advised that

our files were being searched for information concerning Americans living

in block countries who might be called defectors. It is

hoped that the attached list with brief information on each

will meet your needs. In addition those appearing on your list,

there is an included information on a Virginius Frank Virginius
