Ep 76: X-Men '97 S1E4 "Motendo/Lifedeath - Part 1"

Folks, let's just be honest up front. This episode of X-Men '97 is even more clunky and off-putting than its terrible title, "Motendo/Lifedeath - Part 1". The gang struggles through it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, welcome to Small Screen Session, the TV show podcast with Travis Amanda and Steve.

[SPEAKER_04]: I am Travis, this is Amanda and Steve.

[UNKNOWN]: Hi.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hi.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hello.

[SPEAKER_04]: Hello.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's pretty, yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Pretty better.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of podcasts and trousers like this.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know the some sort of ritual they do and then there's, you know, the explanation of their credentials and it's just like, yeah, okay, here we are.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's get started.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is, yes, just us.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hi.

[SPEAKER_05]: We're just peeps.

[SPEAKER_05]: We're just people talking about things.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's really it.

[SPEAKER_04]: What if you join us?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, mainly.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Talking about X-Men 97 mainly, that is the plan.

[SPEAKER_04]: We got an email.

[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to get into that first?

[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to do your do your, uh, what do you, uh, what do you, uh, what do you, what do you say?

[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, well, we're talking about things in rituals.

[SPEAKER_05]: Historically, we do email first, so that's cool.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's what you live.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's do it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_04]: We have an email.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, and we actually have two emails.

[SPEAKER_04]: One is from our very own Steve Gile, High Steve.

[SPEAKER_04]: We'll talk about that because he just emailed the two of us in the show, but we'll talk about that in a minute, and then the other emails for my brother, Jed.

[SPEAKER_04]: So he actually said two emails.

[SPEAKER_04]: So that's the, what is the, what is the mess out, X man over loading the over loading the email boxed there was a day after a denim.

[SPEAKER_04]: So, I say, hey guys, loving the X-Men episodes so far, I heard Travis talk about Beast being his favorite.

[SPEAKER_04]: I got a question for you all.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you could have any of their powers, hero or villain, who would it be, and why, 97 vs. you and current you, 97 me, Magneto, Magneto, Magneto.

[SPEAKER_04]: The power was immense.

[SPEAKER_04]: Omega level, et cetera, current me Wolverine healing able to experience the future due to long life, always earned enhanced strength, speed, et cetera.

[SPEAKER_04]: I have a, I haven't put my thought into it.

[SPEAKER_04]: You're not required to either have a great recording session all.

[SPEAKER_04]: The adenum says, well, finished the episode, finished the latest episode and you all basically already answered my questions at the end.

[SPEAKER_04]: while bump.

[SPEAKER_04]: There is more to this.

[SPEAKER_04]: So my birthday was on Sunday and typically my family will like, you know, I'll call her e-mail or something like, you know, we all, everyone's birthday will get a, we'll do that, you know.

[SPEAKER_04]: And so I get all those calls and e-mails and texts and, you know, everything, all that from everybody of my family except just, and then like the evening comes,

[SPEAKER_04]: uh... hey hope you're having a good weekend i accidentally emailed you like halfway through listening to your episode and then realized that you can basically explain what what happened here and there's like hi i'm like oh okay have a nice weekend too

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: He forgot.

[SPEAKER_04]: So like a few hours ago by him, I'm just laughing.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just laughing to myself because I'm like, he totally fucking forgot.

[SPEAKER_04]: And literally as I'm brushing my teeth for getting ready for bed, he text me and he's like, happy birthday, oh my God.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's funny.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's okay, Judd.

[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, come on.

[SPEAKER_05]: And his picks are good because I think as we age, we definitely would like to have healing powers.

[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, that's a really, that's not a bad idea right there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my back wouldn't hurt right now, probably.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: Right, or like you wouldn't wake up injured because you slept on shoulder wrong because of where that age.

[SPEAKER_04]: And his question is a little different because his was like, who's powers would you want to have?

[SPEAKER_04]: We were just talking about our favorites.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that I want to look like a mask, you know.

[SPEAKER_02]: We'll read for that matter.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, four for the love.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know if that's part of his power.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's I mean, like, does that come with being healing really fast?

[SPEAKER_04]: Or is that just like the beginning of Saturday of his other familial genetics?

[SPEAKER_05]: I think it's his familiar genetics without no way.

[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm clearly not the expert, but it doesn't seem to be connected.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was probably all back when he was born.

[SPEAKER_02]: So long ago.

[SPEAKER_05]: Like in the movie, there's that hot lady who has the same powers that he does.

[SPEAKER_05]: And she seems to all, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I would not want rogue's powers.

[SPEAKER_04]: Fuck that.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, thanks.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, I'm not someone that needs a ton of touch, but I need enough touch to not want to be rogue Kill your dog.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean try and pet it.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, thank you.

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, my gosh.

[SPEAKER_05]: That would be awful.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, rogue.

[SPEAKER_04]: We've got to put on gloves of pet a dog fuck that So all right, we figured out who I don't have to

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_05]: I think I need to do a little more research about his powers.

[SPEAKER_05]: I would want because because because because because because of Steve's email, there's so many Steve's emails.

[SPEAKER_04]: He sent us a relationship, an X-Men universe relationship map,

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, whoa, man, is it fucking complicated?

[SPEAKER_04]: There is... Amazing.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, a couple hundred different X-Men.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's so detailed.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, other Marvel movies.

[SPEAKER_05]: And there's all these different lines between characters and that there's different colors that stand for different things.

[SPEAKER_05]: But it seems like kind of at the center of it all is Wolverine.

[SPEAKER_05]: There's a lot of shenanigans going on there.

[SPEAKER_04]: You're back to Wolverine, you slut.

[SPEAKER_05]: And I guess not a lot.

[SPEAKER_02]: You wait to slow it.

[SPEAKER_05]: There's a lot coming off of Deadpool.

[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of lines coming off Deadpool too.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's kind of not really that big of a surprise.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's funny though.

[SPEAKER_05]: Given I know a little bit about how.

[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of these we're looking at this map that you guys can't see audience.

[SPEAKER_04]: But a lot of them they don't use the superhero name.

[SPEAKER_04]: They use like the actual name.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is a little weird, like, James Rose.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that might be, oh, you mean Rodey, you mean Iron Man, okay?

[SPEAKER_04]: Right, yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that would make it eat.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's not helpful for me.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right, or Jessica Drew, like, okay, she's got a helpful little mascot, but that's Spider-Woman, like, that's called Carol Danvers.

[SPEAKER_04]: Who's a pretty significant person?

[SPEAKER_04]: That's fucking Captain Marvel.

[SPEAKER_04]: How about I know that one?

[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's like, how, why are they, I don't know why they're doing that.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's complicated.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's why it's complicated to fucking people.

[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: She looks cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: I want to do one thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think lady, there was some new ones to me too.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like I didn't know there was a miss sitting stir in addition to Mr. That's new on me, absolutely.

[SPEAKER_04]: Tiger Tiger.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that person.

[SPEAKER_04]: Um, there's quite a few.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they're giving Christian name after we just just said there's a tiger tiger burning bright.

[SPEAKER_04]: a lot of people like Jean Grey yeah and then something like a lot of it's kind of it's I mean yeah I got to look look at this little deeper but I guess I should be following the lines there's a lot of sexual intercourse amongst the many members of the X-Men and Marvel extended family because I hear his bullseye he's not a fucking X-Men or like X-Men villain generally speaking.

[SPEAKER_04]: right so we're all in here but that's fun uh so go to uncanny xman dot net and you can probably find it from there if you're interested in what we're looking at.

[SPEAKER_02]: I like the associations too.

[SPEAKER_02]: So like a line green line is a one-sided unrequited infatuation or flutation scenario.

[SPEAKER_05]: And it does include the arrows.

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh that's going on because it's one-sided.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wolfspane had a thing on the havoc but never worked out.

[SPEAKER_04]: Orange means both parties flared ed red is a single date the kiss or it's a one night stand Purple is dated several times or for a short period blue serious relationship or marriage I'm surprised that I just man doesn't have more going on because he is like He gets around and Yeah, he's only got a few there's quite a few unrequited with him towards women what's would be

[SPEAKER_05]: his earlier years because now he's gay and uh... or he's out anyway and north star digs him but he doesn't dig him back oh bobby north star uh... but there's a couple people that like him and what's this last one it's signifies one of the parties is from an alternate reality right really complicated yeah that's fun you got earth six one six and some other ones

[SPEAKER_05]: Huh.

[SPEAKER_05]: Cry.

[UNKNOWN]: That's funny.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Well, who's Gene Gray, A-O-A?

[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, that's probably different universe.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm guessing, A's of Apocalypse.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to have to study some more of the wider, I mean, because that's a lot of people to pick from of who's powers I would want.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: You got to learn your, you got to learn your X-Men more.

[SPEAKER_04]: Marvel universe generally speaking.

[SPEAKER_04]: This to watch this one program.

[SPEAKER_02]: No way.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, I just saw that there's a character named you go girl.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's like the like you walk out of here.

[SPEAKER_04]: Two, fine.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's get into the episode.

[SPEAKER_05]: The sesquat.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, sesquats is definitely a Marvel character.

[SPEAKER_04]: In fact, uh, I believe it's helpful for you.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, helpful for you.

[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_05]: Do we want to do trivia?

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm so sorry.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_05]: We sure do.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: I just thought, well, we talked a lot about this map, but yeah, please go go look at that or I don't know email for the link if you can't find it.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so this episode had like two stories.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, my on the right, it's going on here.

[SPEAKER_05]: But because of the first one, of course we have to have some video game trivia.

[SPEAKER_04]: That makes sense.

[SPEAKER_05]: Because, yeah, I don't make sense.

[SPEAKER_05]: It makes sense.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, first question.

[SPEAKER_05]: What video game includes the first appearance of Mario?

[SPEAKER_05]: Don't be gone.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's right, from 1981.

[SPEAKER_05]: B考.

[SPEAKER_05]: Uh-huh.

[SPEAKER_05]: What is the best selling game console of all time?

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, place it in free.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, I'll say, let me say two.

[SPEAKER_05]: Steve's thinking really hard.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's watching us get a Nintendo entertainment system.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he's watching.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he's watching.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was thinking.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was thinking.

[SPEAKER_05]: Travis, you changed your answer to PlayStation 2.

[SPEAKER_05]: PlayStation 2 is correct.

[SPEAKER_05]: 160 million sold.

[SPEAKER_05]: It came out in the year 2000.

[SPEAKER_05]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_05]: Give me.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've done something for life.

[SPEAKER_05]: Not too far behind as the Nintendo Wii with 155 million.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if the Wii brick is many times as the PS2, you'd probably have more purchases of Wii's also.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's the GameCube.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I want, play.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: That was a lot of fun.

[SPEAKER_02]: Super Smash Brothers.

[SPEAKER_05]: Pro Skater, name the game, where you collect treasures while you try not to fall and quick-sand or an opening in the ground.

[SPEAKER_02]: Pitful?

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a prank.

[SPEAKER_02]: Friends of Persia?

[SPEAKER_05]: It is pitfall.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Three, three.

[SPEAKER_05]: On the Atari, 1982, I love that game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I remember that game.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of the first, maybe the first video game I played.

[SPEAKER_05]: Come on, Pawn wasn't the first video you ever heard?

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the earliest video game that I remember playing was Pitfall at Paul Schicks house when I was like five, maybe four, I don't know as you own.

[SPEAKER_05]: Shout out to Paul and his Atari.

[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks Paul, you dog ate a lot of shit, but he was a friendly dog.

[SPEAKER_05]: This classic PC game from 1993 has no enemies, no violence, no army of schools, and no time limit.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's right, miss.

[SPEAKER_05]: Good job.

[SPEAKER_05]: How many hours did you log in this game?

[SPEAKER_05]: I had a lot of hours on that game.

[SPEAKER_05]: I love that game.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was just like, I'm just walking around, touching stone.

[SPEAKER_05]: It doesn't move.

[SPEAKER_05]: Can I figure out this puzzle?

[SPEAKER_01]: What's the game?

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: And then rounding it out with number five, what's the highest selling arcade game of all time?

[SPEAKER_04]: The highest, so the most arcades had it?

[SPEAKER_05]: I think so, yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: When I was reading up on it, thank pleasure.

[SPEAKER_04]: Street Fighter II.

[SPEAKER_02]: Thank pleasure.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's a good guess.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like played a lot of that at the arcade.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's like teens everywhere, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm trying to think of like everything that's ubiquitous.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I mean, Pac-Man or Mrs. Pac-Man.

[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, there was always like, what does it gun game and with the blue and the pink gun?

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: That was another one, but that was elsewhere.

[SPEAKER_02]: So the acting game.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's easy.

[SPEAKER_04]: lethal enforcers.

[SPEAKER_04]: lethal enforcers, right?

[SPEAKER_04]: Love that game.

[SPEAKER_05]: I'm in a rampage.

[SPEAKER_05]: Is that like, yeah, I still look like one rampage.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm sticking with.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say Miss Pac, Miss Pac, Miss Pac, man.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's my guess.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a good guess.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's close.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's Pac, man.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'll straight up Pac, man.

[SPEAKER_05]: Straight up Pac, man.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, and I think that's units of like the arcade machine.

[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk in the tabletop or the stand-up.

[SPEAKER_02]: And they're around the longest.

[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't get that specific.

[SPEAKER_05]: I did not get that specific.

[SPEAKER_05]: When I was really little, we had friends that were going into like, arcade game business.

[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't know, middleman, arcadeing machines or something.

[SPEAKER_05]: And we had like 20 in our garage for six months.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was amazing.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's pretty amazing.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's pretty amazing.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wish we were hanging out then.

[SPEAKER_05]: I know.

[SPEAKER_05]: I was, yeah, it was like in my, like, five ages, like, I don't know, five six.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you could have us thinking out, we hung out in person this weekend.

[SPEAKER_05]: We did.

[SPEAKER_05]: It happened.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was good.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was for your birthday.

[SPEAKER_04]: It was fun.

[SPEAKER_04]: We had a lot of fun.

[SPEAKER_04]: You didn't believe that my bathroom was my own decorating, you assumed it was my girlfriend with apprehending her to take great offense.

[SPEAKER_05]: Who did take great offense?

[SPEAKER_05]: It's just, you know, I had been there several times in the now.

[SPEAKER_05]: I was afraid.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's all.

[SPEAKER_05]: There's decor and a girlfriend.

[SPEAKER_04]: I will say the day core happened before the girlfriend for the record it predates girlfriend not the pillows not all those pillows those door pillars are her sheep sheep sheep donated those home so that I was so happy and there's all these pillows tons of them and blankets yeah the blankets and pillows are her

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it was good.

[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe we should have all watched X-Men.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, I don't know if you send to it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Speaking of X-Men, Motendo Life Death Part One.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is the worst title for any episode of television ever.

[SPEAKER_04]: Episode four, Motendo Life Death.

[SPEAKER_04]: At the episode of X-Men.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's just weird.

[SPEAKER_05]: I know it's weird.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it is the lowest rated on IMDB out of all of the episodes.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's like a 7-6 or something like that.

[SPEAKER_02]: Lots of pride.

[SPEAKER_04]: It is fucking, it is a weird episode of many ways because like both there's two stories jammed into one.

[SPEAKER_04]: One of them is part one of a story was we're not going to get part two for a little bit for a little while later and um,

[SPEAKER_05]: My thinking is that was this, yeah, my thinking was that the part two of the thing was swarm is maybe a whole episode, so then they just needed a 15 like a half an episode one.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: And then they broke it up like this.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's my assumption.

[SPEAKER_05]: And then I like to believe and now it's like

[SPEAKER_05]: We're getting a little bit more of jubilee and it's like dumb kind of dumb but fun I mean it was so fun.

[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't I didn't hate that episode but you did you really hate it at that

[SPEAKER_04]: It's I think I think the writers were too stoned Mottendo Too stoned Mottendo.

[SPEAKER_04]: It is easily the worst episode of the season.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it goes with that same As some of that's lost the whole season And It doesn't do a lot So like one of the strengths of this show is that It's driving forward each episode.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's not like it's not like

[SPEAKER_04]: Here's this happening this episode.

[SPEAKER_04]: Here's this happening this episode.

[SPEAKER_04]: And this episode is one of those kinds of episodes at least particularly with Jubilee and Roberto.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then Storm's thing, she is kind of off-doin' her own thing from the rest of the X-Men.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it kind of makes sense that they need to split off and do something special for her or devote a whole episode to her, which is what you said, which is what's coming on the back end of this thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's fucking cock-eyed and weird.

[SPEAKER_05]: I like to, it's Jubilee, it's her, it's a, it's a girl.

[SPEAKER_05]: So it's a female, girl, young character.

[SPEAKER_05]: having a birthday so it's like oh that's kind of cool and then her and Roberto kiss that's cool but then the rest of it is just mm the line I did like was her imitating magneto saying like we're not going out for your birthday because you have to practice like that's fun like that was funny but I was like what's who's doing this what is happening it was just very abstract should be

[SPEAKER_05]: because I'm going to get the answers.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about this hyper-futuristic advanced technology that can suck people into the video game.

[SPEAKER_02]: It still makes dial-up sounds.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's the 90s, what do you want?

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's 97.

[SPEAKER_05]: Hello.

[SPEAKER_04]: 97.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, so we get our rock and roll intro.

[SPEAKER_04]: And this time we see, I think for the first time, Jubilee, Fighting, Mojo and the opening credits, and we get a glimpse of forge as well.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then we get into the episode Motendo.

[SPEAKER_04]: Gambit bringing some coffee to road, but Magne to Magne to Magne to tell got her some first and he corrects Gambit and how to fix it and you know there's some sparring dude sparring because The house she takes it and deed she takes it Like sugar if you get what I'm saying Yeah, I should have sugar

[SPEAKER_05]: the southern diner waitress likes it sweet from Magneto.

[SPEAKER_04]: Magneto says it's a day of training, but Hank is like now we need to celebrate Jubilee's 18th birthday, and she shows up in Logan Offence, her officer muffins with a big dopey grin, and she says she wants to go to the arcade, but Magneto shuts it all down, because he's a demanding taskmaster.

[SPEAKER_04]: in her room with Roberto Jubilee complaints and mentions that G. and Scott are at the UN still and Roberto, the self-loathing mutant, replies that the mutant nature of Junocia entering the UN is a big deal.

[SPEAKER_04]: She claims that that is small fries and that she is the birthday big Mac.

[SPEAKER_04]: And when I thought that I was doing trivia, that was definitely going to be some sort of big Mac, or like McDonald's, or like fast booting trivia, and it's really good to admit.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is what we're doing.

[SPEAKER_04]: That turned out to be my third.

[SPEAKER_05]: They currently have a big Mac thing.

[SPEAKER_05]: Did they have some kind of special big Mac or something like that?

[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_05]: I think I saw that on a sign.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's me.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's a plug-up.

[SPEAKER_02]: There was the release of the Arch Deluxe where the CEO took the Chinese bite and threw it up.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I was like, this is great.

[SPEAKER_02]: just demonstrated like how out of touch with society is like every great person does every time they get in front of a camera.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_04]: So Roberto points to the Matendo gaming system on her dresser and like like, you know, it's cool.

[SPEAKER_04]: You want to play that.

[SPEAKER_04]: She's like, she knows nothing about it, but she thinks it's a gift.

[SPEAKER_04]: Roberto's not into it because the choice because the game attacks them.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wiring them up, you know, with the, the,

[SPEAKER_04]: with a dial-up sound and transporting them to Magi style into the video game.

[SPEAKER_05]: I thought maybe it was the the virus pox.

[SPEAKER_05]: It looks like it was like, oh, it's spread.

[SPEAKER_04]: It looks like it's actually, it looks like they're getting infected with a techno virus.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you were right.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's no green in it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think there was, oh, no, that was just the green in the juice.

[SPEAKER_04]: That was just the, the sinister juice.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, this was just gray.

[SPEAKER_05]: But it had the same sort of pattern when it went all over their back.

[SPEAKER_04]: They don't know what is happening, but as the room looks the same, but they're soon attacked by a Sentinel, and how we get downtown so fast Roberto asks, but there's no time to contemplate this puzzle.

[SPEAKER_04]: He refuses to use his powers, afraid that his parents will see on some recorded

[SPEAKER_04]: thing like maybe some will record it route in the public and maybe it'll end up on TV and this is very much to Jubilee's frustration as friends of humanity thugs open fire on them.

[SPEAKER_04]: A phone rings in a phone booth and they are then trend that they are again transported this time matrix style to a new level.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then you suck them in through the phone lines.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean matrix came out in 1998, I believe, so this is a pretty fitting reference.

[SPEAKER_04]: They are in way back when Genocia, not the first time for Jubilee, as she explains, or at least a digitized version of it.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's more gunmen, and they run, but the gunmen die, quote unquote, and then they disappear.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's a mysterious figure that appears at the end of the bridge, and as they try and figure out who she is, Jubilee then figures out that they're in a video game.

[SPEAKER_04]: She knows sooner and now realizes this than a giant image of Mojo fresh off the Atkins diet replete with a lot of loose skin appears.

[SPEAKER_02]: You've taken it taken a GLP one.

[SPEAKER_05]: No, this is the 90s.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was the end of the year back then.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to make a timely reference.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_04]: I went deep on that one.

[SPEAKER_04]: He announces that he is their prime time interdimensional alien TV producer, who ordinarily loves using the X-Men to entertain his enslaved audience.

[SPEAKER_04]: I shouldn't have gotten the voice in because there's a wild voice here, but I didn't get the actor.

[SPEAKER_05]: I almost wondered if it was Mark Hamill.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's pretty funny.

[SPEAKER_04]: It sounds kind of like Hamill a little bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's David Eurego Jr. All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Someone who likes Mark Hamill.

[SPEAKER_04]: Mojo explains that he has pivoted from TV to video games, and Jubilee is the star of a game based on her memories.

[SPEAKER_04]: And she's a bit flattered until he explains that he used a cheap X-Men, and Dazzler was already booked for a show.

[SPEAKER_04]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_04]: What's the feeling Jubilee's a bigger draw than Dazzler though?

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's be honest.

[SPEAKER_04]: People are probably more familiar with Jubilee than Dazzler.

[SPEAKER_05]: What about the tickler?

[SPEAKER_05]: We got the dazzler, the tickler, the motor.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like you go, girl.

[SPEAKER_04]: We talking about the Vincent Price movie, what do you mean?

[SPEAKER_05]: I'm talking about.

[SPEAKER_05]: battery powered toys and stuff.

[SPEAKER_05]: Ah, well, because you said the dazzler and that kind of makes me think of something like be dazzling or like a some kind of toy and then that reminded me of a particular.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if that was a real or not.

[SPEAKER_04]: The tingler, which is like the first thing they actually made like vibrating things they put on the seeds to make them like,

[SPEAKER_04]: random ones vibrate in the movie theaters because it's like a specific scene that was like a horror scene in the movie theater so like you're supposed to like have a vibrating seat so you might scrape out of this is yeah that's a horror cinema stuff the tickler not the tickler not the tickler anyways we're we're treated to so we're doing you

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, uh, Mojo explains that they're uh, if they die in the game, they die in real life.

[SPEAKER_04]: Of course, as as always, the case, whatever you're sucked into a video game, otherwise there's no more.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's the, the nightmare on Elm Street, everything.

[SPEAKER_02]: scenario, die in the dream, die in real life.

[SPEAKER_02]: But don't worry, it's going to be super easy.

[SPEAKER_02]: Barely an inconvenience because a little Jubilee has the cheat code and the enemies has torn through for a game.

[SPEAKER_05]: And someone's helping, or someone's helping, though.

[SPEAKER_04]: Double, double, yes.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, we'll do the same thing now.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: The game is the X-Men, the rise of Jubilee.

[SPEAKER_04]: It begins.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's all cool and retro-eight bit.

[SPEAKER_04]: In fact, it looks just like the X-Men Arcade game.

[SPEAKER_04]: We get a video game version of the theme song as they fight their way through Savage land and Sauron who is that giant, uh, territorial, territorial look and mother fucker.

[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, he almost takes out Jubilee, but the game glitches and we see this mysterious cyber gotth from earlier, uh, who as Steve mentioned turns out to be on older version sort of it's complicated, uh, Jubilee.

[SPEAKER_04]: And Mojo Barks hit his assistant, who you asked about last episode, I think, Amanda, the six armed sorceress Spirell.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: So then is that real and this person is helping him or is that just, yes, part of his game.

[SPEAKER_04]: So in real life, Spirell is a person that he kidnapped and gave six arms somehow and sorceress powers and turned into his like assistant.

[SPEAKER_05]: oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but she wasn't actually in it.

[SPEAKER_04]: She was just someone who morph was earlier morph turned into her in a previous episode, but she was this is the first ever actually her.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so we saw more version of earlier.

[SPEAKER_04]: Roberto and Jubilee discussed their ongoing personal dramas, which is like this is the only Roberto self-hatred and like working through all that shit, which has already been established pretty well, is the only thing really kind of driving this as part of the rest of the story, you know what I mean for the most part, otherwise it's just kind of one off, hey, look at this, here's Jubilee doing her own thing with Roberto, sounds but.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're right.

[SPEAKER_05]: I wanted to care, I wanted to learn more about her.

[SPEAKER_04]: He suddenly tossed across a room in a CR space.

[SPEAKER_04]: They should memory that they're currently walking through and there's this robotic video game version of Magneto and he almost kills Roberto.

[SPEAKER_04]: Dubes figures out the mechanic to beat him and takes him out this magna toe much to Mojo's outrage Jubilee finds an extra life for Roberto in the form of a glowing green X-Men symbol and knows instantly what it is and says that someone has definitely helped in them Mrs. Yeah, and then that guy was really mad about that Yeah, Roberto responds in just a fively anger angry Portuguese Bow before the Lord of Magnetism.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh the other guy.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know what?

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, Mojo, which makes me, I just keep thinking, Mojo, Mojo Joe Joe, no, Mojo Joe Joe from Power Buff Girls.

[SPEAKER_04]: I always think Mojo in the morning, okay, he's a stockjack.

[SPEAKER_04]: That'd be what I want to lift.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's all right.

[SPEAKER_04]: It feels right.

[SPEAKER_00]: So really.

[SPEAKER_04]: I might be blending Detroit radio stations in personalities, but that feels right.

[SPEAKER_05]: It does.

[SPEAKER_05]: I just like the two for Tuesdays.

[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know, because it was classic rock, and then they had two for Tuesdays.

[SPEAKER_05]: There would be cool.

[SPEAKER_05]: And then, you know, there's certain Led Zeppelin songs that then, you know, it can go right into it.

[SPEAKER_05]: Instead of being two separate tracks, like on an album, and that would be cool.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's all I got.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Just, you said it.

[SPEAKER_05]: And all I had all these memories just fly up.

[SPEAKER_04]: bow before the Lord of Magnetism, the robotic magneto again in tones rising like, well, a phoenix behind them, and then a giant black hand scoops him up with Mojo again doesn't like, and deposit them, deposit them and some sort of funky 90s video game scene that is definitely not one of Jubilee's memories, and we learn, as Steve said, this is the older Jubilee's, some sort of data replicant that his age quicker,

[SPEAKER_04]: But also knows all of her memories, including very recent memories, I guess just go with it.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's a cartoon.

[SPEAKER_05]: Free Bay.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's a cartoon.

[SPEAKER_04]: And that's a convenient excuse for this episode.

[SPEAKER_04]: Data replica Jubilee lectures real Jubilee that she can't stay in a place where it's comfortable.

[SPEAKER_04]: Comfortable to live the same predictable day after day because she's like, I know this place appeals to you.

[SPEAKER_04]: But it's like, this person's a fucking ex-man.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think she's living the same life day after day and today.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, she might be at the ex-man's in, but like, I feel like this is a variety peppered in there as an ex-man.

[SPEAKER_05]: I think this was the only part of getting a window into Jubilee, actually.

[SPEAKER_05]: But this is just, that's some of her fears.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's just, those are some of her fears.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, we're getting like the sense that she's someone that is a little afraid to move forward and wants to say again when we even Yeah, she wants the predictive already right like the image of her as an old person with the same earrings pop and gum and all that like That's that is try hey hey generations still wearing hoodies like fuck you.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know where hoodies still had died

[SPEAKER_04]: Mojo appeared.

[SPEAKER_05]: Who do you are?

[SPEAKER_05]: Our house quotes, right?

[SPEAKER_04]: Like our small cardigan.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm wearing a cardigan now.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: Our cardigan.

[SPEAKER_04]: Everything.

[SPEAKER_05]: Like.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: What is your great?

[SPEAKER_04]: Everyone loves hoodies.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't.

[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have to defend them.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was just, you know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Who doesn't love hoodies?

[SPEAKER_02]: Have a certain night bars downtown.

[SPEAKER_02]: No hoodies love.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, you'll back protect, you might be in a game if you're going to hoodie.

[SPEAKER_04]: So Mojo appears, bursting out of a classic X-Men arcade game, the one that we've talked about a few times, and he says normal huge self again, we had this very video game, he battled with some synth pop, and we get him dropping the term

[SPEAKER_05]: Wait, is he, do you mean he's big again, like he's, he's, he eight carbs again, so he doesn't explain it doesn't explain it.

[SPEAKER_04]: We just, he's all shriveled up and like wasting away in one part and then like he's all big.

[SPEAKER_04]: And if it, maybe it's explained I missed it or it's visually explained and I was looking down or something, I didn't catch that though.

[SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know.

[SPEAKER_04]: So you've three, three, three, right?

[SPEAKER_05]: He stopped taking the GOP ones and that's what happens when he's not taking the GOP ones.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_05]: Just saying that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, so in the video game, it kind of makes sense for him to be the big version of himself because he's like, you know, digitized in.

[SPEAKER_04]: But then when we see him fall over in the real world, he's big there too.

[SPEAKER_04]: But it's spiral pushing him over.

[SPEAKER_04]: So there's something.

[SPEAKER_02]: uh... jubilee it's uh... to see to see like consume their like fear or whatever or something and like maybe that was just like filling him up

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't remember that being the case with him, but it's possible.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know his lore that well.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you know, I remember him.

[SPEAKER_01]: I always hated the character.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was a slow sailing ahead and the stupid video gives.

[SPEAKER_04]: It was more TV stuff in the comics, but like, yeah, I just remember, it just felt like two on the nose as far as satire goes, like, okay, we get it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've seen Max in the room.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm good.

[SPEAKER_04]: so Jubilee and Roberto wake up in bed and moved by their shared near-death experience.

[SPEAKER_04]: Get handsy.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they have a little moment.

[SPEAKER_05]: The spark was good.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you almost died.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's make out.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's make some fireworks in the bedroom.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_02]: What happens?

[SPEAKER_04]: Good points, Steve.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: So then we get life death part one.

[SPEAKER_04]: One word, life death.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just awful.

[SPEAKER_04]: In the rustic cabin.

[SPEAKER_04]: Probably more out.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: In the rustic cabin on the edge of a forest, a forge is serving storm.

[SPEAKER_04]: His papa's bison chili.

[SPEAKER_04]: and she exposes that he has the he's a mutant who can invent anything and she playfully argues that maybe he's just a genius was like oh yeah if you have to be a mutant if you're thinking of stuff I don't know never really made sense of me either she gently if you're making some uh do you need to be wearing Tobias Fienke's style never do you do it

[SPEAKER_02]: Just come on short.

[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: Keeping a catch in this camera.

[SPEAKER_04]: How could you do without

[SPEAKER_04]: How can you do without that and a picture of you in that outfit on your wall?

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_05]: So that's his Steve Jobs genius outfit or the Jorts.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's right.

[SPEAKER_04]: She can definitely ask about his prosthetic arm and leg and he is and she's told only that he was a soldier and there was a war and he explains that he doesn't fix things including himself.

[SPEAKER_04]: He just adapts them.

[SPEAKER_04]: What's that like?

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it takes her on a horseback ride and they race through a canyon until the classic move where one of them storm almost plunges off a cliff.

[SPEAKER_04]: Don't do that.

[SPEAKER_05]: Then he's laughing.

[SPEAKER_04]: What the fuck?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: She can't fly right now, bro.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: And she almost like dies and flips off the edge of the horse.

[SPEAKER_05]: She's actually scared.

[SPEAKER_05]: And then he's just like, ha ha.

[SPEAKER_05]: I knew you'd like this or something like that.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was weird.

[SPEAKER_05]: This is this fun.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was the only weird thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's the owl.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, owl speech.

[SPEAKER_02]: Now, later on, like, forged, like, just pushed the indigenous in and so, like, he calls a rural, a perfect thing, and a goddess, regardless of her powers.

[SPEAKER_05]: Who is fucking weird?

[SPEAKER_02]: I certainly regard the severe feelings, and then he suddenly involved with this wounding powerless bird, his captive audience of one, I was like, give me the fuck out of here.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is just so uncomfortable to watch.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was weird and I was excited about this character.

[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, he this guy seems cool It was true.

[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot all about this.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like casting out of my mind.

[SPEAKER_05]: He's like I was gonna ask you guys did I miss that like a bunch of time passed?

[SPEAKER_04]: That he's saying I love you like that's not long time.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, it has been a long time It's a little early for him to be saying that but let's look into that we do

[SPEAKER_04]: Because first we have this puzzling owl speech, which is, it's like, how can we have an owl in here?

[SPEAKER_04]: Because we're going to get, we're going to get the adversary later.

[SPEAKER_04]: So how can we have an owl in here and relate it to weather?

[SPEAKER_04]: and have it be something she says.

[SPEAKER_04]: And they do it.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's not great when it happens.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's dialogue.

[SPEAKER_04]: Back at Ford's workshop, he explains that he needed to create a machine that would reverse the radiation that stripper up her power, and he puts her to the machine, but it doesn't work.

[SPEAKER_04]: Later, in his workshop, still storm returns and finds him again gazing at the picture of himself on a beach gazing at something out of frame, a picture of himself, perhaps.

[SPEAKER_04]: Or exception, he's twice, we're retreating to this image of him.

[SPEAKER_04]: This kind of like, it's almost like the, you know, cap, what's the, the realm cap and Philips cap Morgan cap Morgan.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, like it's almost like the captain Morgan stance that he's in.

[SPEAKER_04]: He should have, he's like, we also need, it looks at it and looks away.

[SPEAKER_02]: We need to update the Wolverine staring at a picture of me and do this for us looking at four every time.

[SPEAKER_04]: I do remember when this episode came out there was this picture of fours on the internet.

[SPEAKER_04]: I definitely saw it.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's what it was.

[SPEAKER_04]: Back I think that I think Twitter was still barely a thing then, but I can't remember for sure.

[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe I just less people.

[SPEAKER_02]: People were encouraged for forage.

[SPEAKER_04]: Storm asks why he wants to fix her and this is where we get into the shithead.

[SPEAKER_04]: We learn that he actually helped develop the weaponry that took away her powers or at least the weaponry that other things later were based on.

[SPEAKER_04]: And that's how ironic and there's a wedge between them, um, he explains that, you know, he had to lie to her, or at least not tell her about this because she wouldn't help, or she wouldn't accept his help if he knew the truth and said, well, yeah, that's probably,

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: You're not doing.

[SPEAKER_04]: You don't seem to be helping her yet anyway.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like, then I just lied to her.

[SPEAKER_04]: And now you're now going to tell her that you'd love her powers be damned.

[SPEAKER_04]: She smacks him and in her, in the form language, in her stormy language tells him that she's made a fool out of her, which is really all she says, but you know, it's something very hot and much more perturbed.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_05]: It opens with their bison dinner as I'll candle it and should, you know, it's like I felt the vibes coming from him.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm trying to think of, I guess I can consult this if I can find the the fucking, uh, if I can find storm real fast.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to think of whoever everyone's bored.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to think of everyone who storms them with and forges one of the main, so I know forges in black Panther.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's

[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I have always just kind of known.

[SPEAKER_04]: And that's the only two steady blues that she has for a serious relationship or marriage, so that makes sense.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: Flirtation with Dr. Do, no shit.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's the floor.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, wow.

[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, okay, so I feel like I was maybe always kind of like, well, not always because I've only seen this once before, but I feel like I've been kind of been given it a pass because I'm like, yeah, it's for the storm.

[SPEAKER_04]: They're coming together.

[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, so I'm thinking of all this other history, but you're right.

[SPEAKER_04]: As far as I was being introduced to us here, it's all very rushed, and it's creepy.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's creepy.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, he's manipulative and he's being a creep.

[SPEAKER_04]: Storm goes on a ride by herself at night, and this time does fall off the cliff face and straight through the roof of Forza's cabin into his living room, the wreckage of the house repairs itself as she questions how she got there and we see an enormous clawed hand grasp the door frame just outside the darkness of another room.

[SPEAKER_04]: It is a giant red-eyed owl that attacks

[SPEAKER_04]: we see venom of some kind extend from his wound as the giant owl who calls itself the adversary wraps itself around storm and tells her it feeds on misery something it maybe mojo does it feed on misery too that that's it that seems like maybe too much with double up that's yeah I got adversary makes up because I don't think I was familiar with the character and I totally thought it was shadow king.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's when I first saw it when I first saw it I thought it was a shadow king to and it's I don't I didn't know the adversary It's a real character, but I didn't know it until this real character.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's a real character.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's a real character.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's a real character Wrap stuff around for flashbacks and tells her if he's a misery and what was his ex-meal and that is the end Bumble Bumble Bumble

[SPEAKER_05]: Um, what's that 80s movie with the owl with the right eyes?

[SPEAKER_05]: I was just having flashbacks to that.

[SPEAKER_05]: The animated movie, there's the mouse, um, there's rabbit.

[SPEAKER_04]: She could have dimmed.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, really good movie.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I was thinking about.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I was thinking about.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was good stuff.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: So Motando, like that, part one.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right after the last episode, are we checking in with Bishop and maybe Nathan Summers after Techno Fox?

[SPEAKER_02]: Hard pass?

[SPEAKER_02]: Nope.

[SPEAKER_02]: Will there be any stakes?

[SPEAKER_02]: They never have been.

[SPEAKER_02]: My start now.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'll watch two couple speeddating and demonstrating z-O chemistry with the partners.

[SPEAKER_02]: Of course.

[SPEAKER_02]: And Techno Fox toxicity be damned if we can watch toxic relationships than number one reason people seek out X-Men.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to come out.

[SPEAKER_02]: This was like a fun one off an invincible this season with dark when they some when darkblood summons invincible to hell for a real slayer of a show.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was just this was boring, inefficient, tangential, exposition that didn't warn an entire episode.

[SPEAKER_02]: This could have been a montage.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not going to argue with any of that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: can't can't deny it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you're right.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it wants to be kind of a fun little one off thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that if they had split it a little more evenly for one because Motendo is like two thirds.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it feels even more off and weird.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I think if they split

[SPEAKER_04]: And made the stakes for Motendo also like about the real overall story.

[SPEAKER_04]: It may have worked a little bit better.

[SPEAKER_04]: But I think they would have been better served to have a normal episode that just cut back and forth between the X-Men do and shit and storm and forwards doing their shit.

[SPEAKER_05]: Right.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's why they didn't do that.

[SPEAKER_02]: But Tidius isn't Nintendo is about their IP.

[SPEAKER_02]: They got away with Motendo.

[SPEAKER_03]: They may have gotten the rights because of the X-Men video game, maybe, I don't know, but at least like their corporate offices had contact.

[SPEAKER_02]: So if someone needed to run a flag up, this is going to fly, you're going to sue.

[SPEAKER_04]: We're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney, we're Disney

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and there was another like in-celli speech.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think delivered by Magnita that comes up later in this season There was like what the fuck is this?

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he is a bullet.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is my first taste of it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's true

[SPEAKER_02]: Forges not, they forges the office one.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, forges not, but I feel like there's some, like, I mean, as we were getting into it with here with the government background that he has, I feel like that's something that does happen in the comics and he's a little bit of a gray character, but I don't know well enough to say that with confidence.

[SPEAKER_01]: Gotcha.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it was just weird.

[SPEAKER_05]: She's all like,

[SPEAKER_05]: What?

[SPEAKER_05]: Why did you do that?

[SPEAKER_05]: And he was like, I was in a bad place.

[SPEAKER_05]: It sucked.

[SPEAKER_05]: And then immediately flipped it to like, I love you.

[SPEAKER_05]: Love bomb her and then make it all about her and it was weird.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so we'll get that episode follow up later.

[SPEAKER_04]: Not next episode, which that they wedge something another episode in between it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Also kind of suggested maybe they were like, oh, what's going on with this?

[SPEAKER_05]: That's I think that's what I'm just wondering, like they had somehow already decided on the storm thing and yeah, it is just odd the way that it's cut.

[SPEAKER_05]: and then the episode between, there's gotta be a story there during the production.

[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like there's a reason, there's gotta be, yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: Because I just, I don't want it to be, we think this is the best way.

[SPEAKER_05]: Is it not?

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, personally, do you know the answer to this?

[SPEAKER_04]: Or do you have speculation?

[SPEAKER_04]: Do you have powers that you would choose from an X-Men league?

[SPEAKER_04]: And it's not growing old gracefully.

[SPEAKER_04]: You may have a small screen sessions at gmail.com.

[SPEAKER_04]: social media of some sorts, you can find us at small screen sessions at gmail.com and that is it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Anything else y'all?

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: I just want to know the answer to that.

[SPEAKER_05]: Why they did it?

[SPEAKER_05]: And I can't.
