Speaker 1: Welcome back to the second half of Tom's Polk Party today. Well,

I was only going to do one hour of this

interesting rabbit hole. I went down listening to over Kriner,

music that actually is based off of nineteen seventy through

nineteen nineties pieces of music, most of it would buy

a band called Global Criner. But I have so much

more music to play for you that we're going to

do this hour as well from Global Criner mostly, and

let's get right back to it. The song puts many

of us in a very happy mood. Here is Global

Criner Over the rainbow.

Speaker 2: Way, but the right.

Speaker 3: Way, the.

Speaker 4: The lover.

Speaker 2: One skin love it, rob of the.

Speaker 4: Railway size, the dreams.

Speaker 2: That you did to drink We really do come to Sunday.

I'll should farm start, wake up?

Speaker 5: Where the cords bbby.

Speaker 6: What travosml lemon drops, the way.

Speaker 4: Of the journey, that way.

Speaker 7: The gray, the rainbows?

Speaker 2: Watna what cans spat?

Speaker 4: Did youth.

Speaker 2: Usual spe.

Speaker 6: Her over the rainbow? Why then, all, oh, why can't.

Speaker 8: Like the beep beep beean of the tinto where the

tongue shallows fall, like.

Speaker 2: The tick TikTok of the steadily look at.

Speaker 4: The stands against the wall like the drip drip drip

of the reader rot when the sun showers, so.

Speaker 2: Some of thoughts reading its sp.

Speaker 9: Night and day, the word.

Speaker 2: Only we need the moon and under the sun resent

you to me all that it's no matter, darling, where

you are. I think, night and.

Speaker 10: Night and day the.

Speaker 2: Widens, and so that is long f you've gone forever

like go in the roaring travels boom in the silence

while I think, and.

Speaker 9: Behind me.

Speaker 6: There's enough such a hungry and turning inside.

Speaker 2: And as Tollman, won't be through till let me spend

my life making love to you day night, taken of

the hide of me. There's no such a hungry.

Speaker 11: And numbering inside of me and as Toma moment until you.

Speaker 2: Let me spend my l making loft at your day and.

Speaker 1: Night and day, night and day. From Global Kriner. I

think that might be my favorite song that they've done.

Just love a good jazz piece with the fine musicians

they have playing it in their own style. Night and

Day from Global Criner. All right, we're gonna switch gears here.

I'm pretty sure we've done this one before on Tom's

Folk Party, done in a polka style. Of course, who

would expect something from guns n' roses on a polka show.

Here's a global criner with Sweet Child of Mine.

Speaker 2: He's got a smile that it seems something.

Speaker 9: He reminds me of childhood memories.

Speaker 12: Everything was as fresh as a bright blue sky now

and then when I see his face, he takes me

away to that special plason.

Speaker 10: If it's there, I choose along, I'd probably break down

and cry.

Speaker 3: Sweet Child of Mind, love a mind. He's got eyes

of the bluest guies, as if they do are red.

Speaker 10: I hate to look into those eyes and see an

ounce of cain. His hair reminds me of the warm,

safe place where as a.

Speaker 13: Child I have.

Speaker 2: I'm pray for the thunder and they're ready to cuiet.

Speaker 5: We pass me by, Sweet John. We love the mind,

Sweet John.

Speaker 2: We love the mind.

Speaker 14: After the game, after school, after work. Applebee's is where

you want to be to enjoy their bold, savory grilled steaks,

salmon or chicken. Applebee's is located where Beaumont meets Banning,

Speaker 6: On the river a.

Speaker 9: Big ways, keep on as.

Speaker 4: If keep on Burley last row.

Speaker 9: No little river.

Speaker 1: River Global kriner with proud Mary. I think their singer

gives Tina Tenner a run for money on that one.

Let's tell you a little more about Global Kriiner. They

were a six piece Austrian folk group consisting of clarinet

player Christophe Spork based trombonas, tenor and yodeler Sebastian Fuchsberger,

guitarist Eddie Kohldorfer, trumpet player Carl Rossman, accordion player Anton

Saprugl and jazz vocalist Sabine Steiger. The group has won

numerous awards in Germany and Austria and represented Austria in

the Eurovision Song Contest in two thousand and five in Kiev, Ukraine.

Global Krainer they were active from two thousand and three

to twenty thirteen, but their music is living on today.

On Tom's Polk Party, Let's give you the names of

the albums we're playing from today. First One, Global Kriner,

Chronology Vague and Second Love. I was born in nineteen

sixty and my love of music probably didn't really get

started into the seventies. And of course in the late

seventies the disco era came and many people liked to

disco dance well. At same time people were polka dancing.

So dancing is dancing, isn't it. How about a well

known disco song done in over Kriner style. Here is

Global Criner once again. I will survive.

Speaker 9: First, I was fraid.

Speaker 2: I was petrified.

Speaker 9: Camp thinking of could never live without you, famicide. But

then I spent so many nights just thinking how.

Speaker 5: You doing?

Speaker 9: But I crusted and thou learnt how to get along?

Sir star wars friend.

Speaker 19: I was petrified because I couldn't never live without your pmicide.

Speaker 9: Then spent some feel come you do me wrong. I'm strung,

and I'll get along.

Speaker 4: And say from my face, I just went in five

even that for SI shouldn't.

Speaker 2: Change my stupid men figured.

Speaker 1: I'm just sick.

Speaker 9: Your bed to me.

Speaker 7: Won't come home.

Speaker 9: She's turn to run. Now say y'all not.

Speaker 20: T comebody know when she's the one who try to

break me goodbye? He hes truly you got laid outside.

Oh no, I I was high a far as long

as I know how that was the life.

Speaker 13: I've got all my life today, I've.

Speaker 2: All my love to give.

Speaker 19: That was life.

Speaker 15: I was.

Speaker 5: Hi, I was h.

Speaker 15: Was How was I to God?

Speaker 9: Strang ahead not to fun her can try and hard

to mend the pieces of unbroken bart And I've spent

o so many nights just really sorry for myself. I

used to ride, but.

Speaker 5: Now I will not.

Speaker 2: I'll not go on capital.

Speaker 10: Just turn around now because you don't not welcome anymore?

Speaker 9: What do you want to try to break your good bye?

Do you think a struggle? You think, lady?

Speaker 21: As long as I love almost my left lit.

Speaker 5: Hi hi ali.

Speaker 8: Hi as alos almos hi hi alis Vi.

Speaker 11: Well, something about it, talking about it, talking about it,

something about it, dunk about talking about talking about it?

Speaker 15: Me got up?

Speaker 2: Got funky all the fun.

Speaker 1: Funky that was Funky Town from a Global Kriner. Global

Criner took something from the disco era and turned it

into a great Opragriner song. The movie The Sound of

Music has an awful lot of songs in it that

have worked their ways into poke music. Of course, I'm

talking about doray Me and Adelweiss.

Speaker 14: Among others.

Speaker 1: But here's an Overrachriner version of something from the Sound

of Music. Global Criner once again. My favorite things.

Speaker 2: A puff of five.

Speaker 10: Rain drops on roses, and whiskers on kittens, broad copper ketmels,

and warm woolen lints, brown.

Speaker 7: Paper packages tied up the springs.
