it was always about fun at Accordion festivals. For me,
it started with and I started going to the Far
West Button Box Jamborees with the Fontana and Box Club.
Part of those wonderful weekends were times where Frank Vitegar
got together with his kids, Frank Junior and Lisa on
some great great polkas. Here is the trio of Frank Senior,
Frank Junior and Lisa song about those happy times, happy
times Polka from the Vinegar.

over Memorial Day weekend and seeing Frank, Frank Junior and
Lisa of playing in unison and just the smiles on
their faces and always highly entertaining the crowd that was there.

started with Memorial Day weekends. One of those friendships with
me was with Steve Bailech singor Steve Bailech Junior and
the guys from the Baileach Band, specifically Tom Kazaza, who
played drums and sang with the band for many years.
I always remember when they came down to Fontana, they
listened to my radio show, and Tom Kazazza later caught
me off to the side and said, Hey, I've never
heard myself on the radio, and it was such a
joy that you played a song that I was singing on.
This is the song I played. It's always been one
of my favorites by the Baileach Band featuring Tom Kazaza

Steve Bailech Senior polk Band with the TikTok Polka, and
as I was listening to those Baileach songs, I was
thinking how Memorial Day weekend in Fontana led me to
going to the Katati Accordion Festival and meeting so many
more musicians and having some fine accordion times over the
last many, many many years. I still remember Steve Bailech
Senior walking up to me at the Button Box events
and saying, you know what, you got to come to
our festival now?
Speaker 12: And yeah.
Speaker 4: Once I started going to Katati, been there over twenty times,
missed a couple of years, but I planned to be
back there again this year with the Steve Baileach Junior
band now in the Polka tent, keeping the tradition that
was started by Steve Senior. Pick Tom's Poke a party
